Lobby is not so welcoming so is the front desk not that accommodating. No complimentary water. No CNN for travelers like us this is important. Very small rooms for the price!!! The beds in the twin rooms are very small. I am small petite already if you are smaller than me then this type is very uncomfortable for you. Free wifi. No bath tub just the shower which is quite ok. Breakfast is just ok. I have been at different hotels all over the world. The stars they put on this particular establishment is wrong it is definitely less.
We were here just for one night before we checked into a vacation rental, but we really enjoyed our experience. the desk staff was friendly and helpful, the bar was great and we tried our first black balsam (mixed) drink-wow! The hotel was near some shops, restaurants-2 LIDOs, and safe walking area. Quiet at night. The breakfast buffet was absolutely outstanding!! The hotel is modern/contemporary. Also, it is not near the historical district. Taxi's are very inexpensive, tho. We were very pleased staying here.
Nicely surprised by the property. Well equipped and maintained. I've had better but the bed was pretty good. Airco worked well. Good wifi (free). Not much if a view from 239, unless you like fire escapes. I didn't bother with breakfast but lunch was good. Located fairly close to public transport, plenty of shops and restaurants. Old town about 15 minutes walk away.
Tallink opened some years ago hotel near main railway station and Origo shopping mall in the centre of Latvia´s capital Riga. Old Town is just two blocks from the hotel. Hotel has elegant decorated lobby, restaurant and also comfortable rooms. There is also gym, sauna and beauty parlor in the premises. I had problem with air con. It was very complicated to change temperature or close the aircon. In the reception the service was negligent if not unfriendly. Breakfast was very good with modern coffee machines and abundant products.
Stylish hotel in a good location - easy walk to the old town. Felt more like a business than a leisure hotel, due to its size and rather impersonal service. Prices are really good and no problems with any of the facilities, except for the wifi which was rather weak.
For the price we paid, we are pleased with our stay. This was a reasonable hotel in Riga, which was centrally located. 15 minute walk to Old Town, 10 minutes walk to the train station. The hotel itself does not look particularly grand from the street but has a nice reception and bar area. Everything seems very new and fresh. The room was nice but very small. Great after all for our weekend trip. The breakfast was absolutely OK, nothing outstanding. So. Recommended if you want to live right outside the old town for a cheap money.
Hotel rooms are very nice and clean. Good distance from a ORIGO shopping centre and old town. Staff nice. Breakfast really good! Why I took 1 star away? Well..the dinner buffet was a let down..it is a lot smaller than breakfast buffet and cost 18e!!?? 2 options for meat (fish and turkey) and 4 options for sides..different kind of potatoes..salad bar ok and desserts again only few options..for that price I was expecting more..lower the price or add more options! Other observations..our room was facing the entrance side road..there is a karaoke bar right accross so might be a worth while asking a room facing other side..it was noisy fri and sat night until midnight so not too bad but still annoying.
It is really very nice hotel! All rooms are clean. The location is perfect! App. 8-10 min from the old town. The staff is very friendly. They are speaking also english, french and russian. We liked the restraurant very much. Morning buffet is great. The hotel is nice for family and business trip.
Great value for money. Prime location, close to Centraltirgus and shopping. Takes a 10-20 minute walk to get to the entertainment district of Riga. One setback is the hotel sauna. Who likes a 100 degree sauna? 80-85 degrees is the standard.
Very nice and comfortable hotel with central location. Only 10 minutes walk from the old town in Riga. Staff is very polite, smiling, and service minded. As guest you fell very welcome. Restaurant is very good. Food is good and prices are very fair. If you are allergic it's easy to identify gluten etc in the menu card. They added the information to each menu. Morning buffet is one of the better I have seen and it includes lactose free milk products and glutenfree as well..
