Good value hotel

The hotel is very good value for money. The rooms were immaculately clean and comfortable. Hairdryers, safe and TV in rooms and the beds (double) were a good size. The location is a little far out (about 20 mins walk into town) but everywhere in Riga is so accessible we didn't feel we missed out due to the location - we stayed four days and managed to see everything by walking. I would recommend this hotel. Can't comment on breakfast as we didn't have it.

Nice hotel for the price.

The hotel is located along the river from the old town. About ten to fifteen minutes walk. Easily doable. The room was adequate and the bed very comfortable. The only annoyance was you had to bang the door to close it. So late night returners had a habit of waking others up. Staff very helpful in ordering a taxi to the airport

Cheap hotel outside Old Town

Excellent value hotel outside Riga Old Town. Hotel is down an ugly-looking alley, but hotel itself is perfectly clean and well-lit. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Free parking and wifi is good. Hotel is an easy 15 min walk from Old Town, but without the traffic hassles. Room is basic, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast is pretty sparse and not worth the extra charge.

Exellent for its price

New and modest hotel. Walking distance to Central Railway and Bus station and downtown. Clean. I recomend very tasty breakfast for additional price 5euro p.p. It was a little annoyed plastic mat between between sheet and mattress like in kindergarten.

Good location, footwalk to Old Riga.

Absolutely pleasant, relaxing atmosphere, added to a good holiday. Difficult to reach and to leave by car, Riga seems not to allow left turns. One drives in right turn circles.

Great find in Riga

The hotel sits in an area that appears a bit "sketchy" but upon arrival it is clear that it is well cared for. The registration staff is polite and helpful and gave a complete run down of the facility. She made reservations for a taxi to the airport for us. The facility is clean, safe and comfortable. We had an easy 15 minute walk from the bus station. The bed was comfortable, the room spacious and the breakfast tasty and complete. I would now hesitate to stay here again. We stayed on the ground floor so no problem with luggage but it is a multistory structure without elevator.

Make sure you have a map where this hotel is located since our taxi driver could not find thecstreet on his GPS. However, once you orient yourself with your surroundings you will find out the hotel is located close to public transportaion to get you to the Old Town and to a bus or a train station in just a few minutes. The room and the bathroom were pretty big and very clean. The staff was really friendly. I will stay there again if I am ever in Riga again.

Nice hotel but location could be better.

The hotel itself is very comfortable. Nice spacious room, good breakfast, BBC News on tv, bathroom also spacious with good shower. Staff were friendly and helpful. So had it been in the centre of town, it would have been great. The downside is it's a good 20 minutes walk to the Oldf Town which basically is where everything, bars, restaurants etc. are. So if you do this walk twice a day, that's 80 minutes before you start looking around. I did realsie at the time it was a good stroll from the centre but I did expect there would be some eating places, bars, shops etc. nearby. Actually there is absolutely nothing.

Fabulous stay

Me an my partner stayed here initially for three days, later on our plans changed and we asked if we could keep our room for extra day, and staff were happy to extend our booking. If you book a room without breakfast as we did, be prepared that morning coffee ordered through reception will be delivered to the room. Staff members do speak English and are very helpful to assist with taxi booking ect. It is not the nicest neighbourhoods however it is only 10 minutes walking distance from the town centre.surely will recommend it to my friends.

Great hotel with extremely friendly staff

Great hotel with extremely friendly staff. 10-15 mins walk from the old town (via the market). Good hotel for long weekends away from the hustle and bustle. Just a few points: We visited mid Oct and found the hotel too hot despite it being chilly outside. The bar and restaurant are closed off season apart from breakfast. The spa only accepts 4 at a time. Regards Riga itself: Beware of rip off taxi drivers and even bigger rip off taxi cycles who will agreee a total fee and then try to charge per person. Just refuse and walk away, they ruin an otherwise enjoyable experience. The river cruises are also closed off season. 'Lido' restaurant chain offers great value meals and drinks.

The room was very nice and clean. The front desk people were friendly and very helpful. Our wake up call was 20 minutes late which could have been a problem if we didn't set our own alarm clock. A very nice hotel to stay in, if you don't mind a 10 minute walk to old town.

Nice, basic 3* hotel. As I was there just for a nap then I can't tell so much about. Room and bathroom was nice. Sad that there is no coffee station in the room. Liked night reception staff more than morning staff because she showed some interest and smile to guest which is important I guess. And the location is not so bad as well, just ten minutes walk from center.
