Best hotel experience in Riga so far! Good location, good quality room, tasty breakfast and friendly staff! The corner room was a little bit small, but still very comfortable and very quiet. I would definetly recommend this hotel to everyone.
location in the center, Good tasty breakfast, dogs friendly. Only when we came hotels parking was full but its other one not so far. Calm and good service. Can recommend this hotel for family and business
From the bus station take a tram or bus to avoid paying for a dodgy taxi. Tram 19 and 24 are good. The hotel has pretty much everything including wifi and a hairdryer. Rooms are a bit too small if you have a lot of luggage and breakfast is not of super high standard. Only real con: the pillows are too big and high, as if taken from the sofa for an unexpected guest. Location is great, i suggest visiting Alberta road nearby for really nice art nouveau buildings.
We stayed there twice - first time we're impressed how spacious was room. Sauna ,gym were included in price. Breakfast was good if you aren't too fussy about the food. The second stay was little disappointing- we were offered a room with basic shower only and half the size ,we had to ask for a room with a bath - it was "ok" size, still on small side. It's wise to enquirer about details what are important for you. On our second stay breakfast was lacking many options/ choices and became VERY basic.
The hotel is centrally located with only 10 minute walk to the old town area. Standard rooms on the second floor were to our surprise very spacious and nice , especially large room is #206 overlooking the park, but also 222 was nice, the one our friends had, with street view. We had everything we needed in the room, from coffee, tea and minibar to all the bathroom supplies you might need during your stay. We had also prepaid for a dinner for 4 at the lobby bar restaurant. The lady who served our table was very friendly and nice, the dinner itself was also delicious. Overall - the standard rooms surprisingly large and decorated modernly. Breakfast also good, large variety of food to choose from. The best part of the hotel is the staff - Kristine at reception was most friendly and very helpful as well as every other employee we met. Perfect! Nothing to complain, will definitely visit again!
Our suprise was that classic rooms where very big and nice. Bathroom with bath. Breakfast was very good and staff very friendly. Supermarket is also very close by. Walking distance to oldtown or city centre.
Great location for seeing the Art Nouveau architecture, but the beds were rock hard; the pillows were hard, lumpy and 6" thick; and the breakfast was served cold on 5 days out of a 20 day stay. Also, most of the counter staff were not friendly. If you can not be bothered to even say "hello" to an arriving traveler, don't work in the hospitality industry.
Everything woes awesome besides that they had a conference one floor under our room and in the morning i woes feeling like i woes attending to the conference. Don´t take room on 2 floor. From the room 200-210.
Starting to show its age but had character. Rang to book parking and was fortunate enough to reserve a spot, as on arrival parking was through a narrow carriage way to the cellar which had 2 car spots. Fun to back out of! Our large room was with a balcony overlooking the park. Very pleasant. Walk to old Riga took 10 to 15 minutes and was enjoyable. Hotel situated next the art nouveau district.
The hotel is located maybe 10 minutes by food to the city center. Its a very nice walk because most of the time you can walk through a park. From airport to teh hotel its around 35 Minuts by Taxi and the cost was below 20 Euro. The hotel is directly at the main road because of that its a bit noisy but in the night it is fine. The rooms are nice and you can feel the old charm of the building. Still for me personally the rooms could have a bit more charm they are a bit cold without much love. What I liked was the good stuff and the very clean rooms. Because i have been there in September it was already a bit cold but the heating was not turned on. For me this is a no go because its a 5 Star hotel. I asked if they could turn on the heating but in stead the gave me an old electrical heater ... Break first was very good maybe a bit more fresh fruits. All in all it as a good stay an a nice hotel.
