Hotel Jurmala Spa & Conference Center4.0 out of 5.0

Nice spacious rooms, great sized spa, also for children. Location of hotel is quite hidden, but not impossible to find (just need to know exactly where to turn). There are quite a lot restaurants nearby if you want something else rather than hotel food (which is also OK). Breakfast food choice was ok, food quality also nothing to complain about. Sea is walking distance away, rather large beach area.
45 minutes to check in and even more to check out!!! I suppose hotel management should place more emplees on holidays!!!! If you come only for one night and for visiting spa with small kid then such abnormal situation with check in and especially check out process will completely spoil the impression!
... please keep in mind that by ordering the taxi via front desk you might get a taxi driver who doesn't use meter and accepts only cash and when having not sufficient amount of change offers to return to you even less money than should.
We wanted somewhere to relax and unwind during our tour of the Baltics and this spa complex did not disappoint. There was great selection of saunas, pools and tubs and all were well presented and clean. I loved the swim up bar in the pool. An additional towel would have been useful as after a while it became sodden, also a plastic bag to put your wet swimming things in as is usual in the UK. Despite that a great relaxing afternoon well recommended.
Great SPA hotel, offers a lot of interesting SPA packages, also packages with full board option. This time l chose 5 nights "Health package" and it really helped to feel and look better. Hotel's personnel is very professional, polite and attentive - make you feel special. Great health treatments and specialists. Fabulous massages (especially warm candle and aromatherapy), prices are affordable. Free strong WiFi in any side of the hotel. Rooms are nice, very comfortable beds, scenic views of sunrise/sunset. Nice main restaurant - food for any taste, great staff. ********** Thank you for such a great holiday and positive boost to my health and mood. And thank you for noticing my birthday and your sweet surprise - it was very pleasant :-)
The hotel is centrally located on the main drag with several restaurants and shops nearby. Despite being a large conference hotel, it appears well kept, clean, bright and spacious although the carpet throughout resembles a 70s/80s design. The room was reasonably spacious, very clean and warm with a full height and full length window and giving a nice view over the greenery of the area. The bathroom was clean and pleasant with a large walk in shower - the shower wasn't particularly powerful but hot water always readily available whatever time of the morning or evening took a shower. Buffet breakfast was included in the room rate with a large selection of cooked foods, cold meats, smoked salmon along with plenty of fruit, cereals, pastries and various teas and coffees. Only minor niggle was that the staff seemed too eager to clear away plates when you were still eating. There is also a seaside bar on the 11th floor which is reasonably prices and gives fantastic views across the Gulf of Riga although this was reserved for attendees of a conference at the hotel on one day.
The hotel is in a great location, just off Jomas Street. The room was very clean and comfortable and the view was great. The seaside bar on the top floor had a lovely view over Jurmala and the prices were good. The spa and leisure facilities were also very good. However, the restaurant did not open any night during our stay due to various reasons - conferences etc, the bar was also closed one night which for a big four star hotel we did not expect. The breakfast was very poor - not a good selection and what was there was of poor quality. One staff member we dealt with was very polite but the rest of the staff were quite abrupt and unhelpful.
I don't generally do big hotels, but this place was very good. It's modern, well-kept, with spacious, comfortable rooms. I appreciated my beautiful view of Jurmala. A big plus is that my room was silent. Good buffet breakfast. No in-room safe.
The four of us went to SPA and stayed for the night, in two separate double rooms. Everything was great and comfortable, I have really enjoyed the room, especially the view on the Jomas street from above. The only shortcoming was that one of the lamps on the bedside table was not working, but it did not cause us much inconvenience. The breakfast was also fine and tasty, with many different meals to choose. There were both hot and cold snacks, from omelettes and pancakes to fruits and yogurts. And a really good coffee! The SPA part was also great. To me, the best thing about this water complex is that there are plenty of pools, bubble baths and saunas. Even though the place was crowded with people on the day of our visit, it was always possible to find something interesting to do and a jacuzzi which was not yet fully occupied. However, a large number of visitors in the water complex is also kind of a drawback. Even though we were staying on the night from Thursday to Friday, there were still lots of people, and I guess it only gets worse on the weekends. But well, it is a common thing for a popular tourist place.
Rooms and beds were OK. Location at Jurmala's main strolling/shopping street was great, close to beach and next to most restaurants. Pitiful breakfast, good selestion but just poor quality of everything. Was the bacon boiled (it sure wasn't prepared properly and tasted as it)? Good conference rooms, if you're there to work. This place is in my opinion not 4 stars, but rather 3.
