Hotel Jurmala Spa & Conference Center

The hotel is in a great location, just off Jomas Street. The room was very clean and comfortable and the view was great. The seaside bar on the top floor had a lovely view over Jurmala and the prices were good. The spa and leisure facilities were also very good. However, the restaurant did not open any night during our stay due to various reasons - conferences etc, the bar was also closed one night which for a big four star hotel we did not expect. The breakfast was very poor - not a good selection and what was there was of poor quality. One staff member we dealt with was very polite but the rest of the staff were quite abrupt and unhelpful.

I don't generally do big hotels, but this place was very good. It's modern, well-kept, with spacious, comfortable rooms. I appreciated my beautiful view of Jurmala. A big plus is that my room was silent. Good buffet breakfast. No in-room safe.

The four of us went to SPA and stayed for the night, in two separate double rooms. Everything was great and comfortable, I have really enjoyed the room, especially the view on the Jomas street from above. The only shortcoming was that one of the lamps on the bedside table was not working, but it did not cause us much inconvenience. The breakfast was also fine and tasty, with many different meals to choose. There were both hot and cold snacks, from omelettes and pancakes to fruits and yogurts. And a really good coffee! The SPA part was also great. To me, the best thing about this water complex is that there are plenty of pools, bubble baths and saunas. Even though the place was crowded with people on the day of our visit, it was always possible to find something interesting to do and a jacuzzi which was not yet fully occupied. However, a large number of visitors in the water complex is also kind of a drawback. Even though we were staying on the night from Thursday to Friday, there were still lots of people, and I guess it only gets worse on the weekends. But well, it is a common thing for a popular tourist place.

Rooms and beds were OK. Location at Jurmala's main strolling/shopping street was great, close to beach and next to most restaurants. Pitiful breakfast, good selestion but just poor quality of everything. Was the bacon boiled (it sure wasn't prepared properly and tasted as it)? Good conference rooms, if you're there to work. This place is in my opinion not 4 stars, but rather 3.

We was looking forward to staying in this hotel but sadly it turned us down. Three things were allright, location (city center and close to the beach) the cleanliness of the rooms and the fast wifi. Unfortunately the rest was poor. The breakfast was uneatable either fried in fat or pre-packed industrial, untasty coffee. Staff not friendly at all no politeness (one examole arriving at the hotel no welcome, no how was your trip just "I need your passport") no courtesy. Could be better...

We chose the hotel as we had visited the spa some years ago. The spa is nice, small pools with bar and several different saunas. The rooms are tidy and nice looking, and the breakfast was great. There is a playing ground for kids in the brakfast room, so you get to eat in peace and harmony as your children plays in the corner :)

We stayed in two superior rooms and payed accordingly. The only thing reflecting the price was cleanliness level and actually the wifi which was great, open and included. I hope the hotel will review the whole breakfast experience AS soon as possible. I also suggest to arrange a "how to smile to customers" training for those working in the wardrobe downstairs. Frontline staff was nice and customer friendly. Location is good.

Had pretty high expectations on the hotel and area, unfortunately they did not meet. Spa area and sauna was good but not very cosy. Nice room but be prepared for tiles on floor rub of color. Breakfast was horrible (Russian style) I expect more from a SPA hotel. The hotel i located next to the "main street" and about 10 min walk from the beach. Service in restaurant on main street Wasa really poor.

Hi, I have booked night for my parents anniversary in this hotel. Hover, at arrival- ladies at reception couldn't speak Latvian ??? ( very embarrassing I thought for the hotel in Jurmala), I have pre- booked also dinner- which was uneatable!! you probably could get a nicer food on street café / restaurant! On the time of booking I have been told there will be a Disco! but unfortunately there wasn't any entertainment. Plus side- nice Spa experience, and great breakfast!! so not all bad !! Don't think we come back though for the reasons as above. :(

We diddnt tay at hotel, just visited SPA and let me tell you something.. In my opinion, thats nor SPA, the "slippers" were made of some kind of cheap plastic, there wasnt any water to drink at the SPA - well of course for 1.80 eur ... If you want to swim in pool (small and crowded with old people and loud children) and after few minutes go to some procedures you have to go all the way across the hotel to other side, in your horrible slippers & just a dressing gown, ill call that a "walk of shame" And kitchen- omg.. Attitude was as if we were some kind of homeless beging for food (and we are locals), no salt and pepper on the table, half a glass of water. Long story,short- did not like it there and i wount be returning...
