Normally in Riga I stay in blue but I heard a lot of this place so I switched without regrets. The staff from the moment I enter till I left was great, helpful no question was to hard for them. The room was very large and no problems with noise from neighbors what is important for me after long intensive days. So conclusion I find my new spot in Riga when I return for business.
I managed to get this place for under US$200 for just one night. I arrived at 4PM and entered a quiet and friendly, if efficient lobby. Front desk helped me figure out a walking plan to enjoy the beautiful sunshine of my one afternoon in town, and then sent me to a restaurant for great local food, and also arranged the small sauna to be set up for me. I love dry sauna and especially in this part of the world. My room was MASSIVE, and I'm not sure if I was upgraded or not, but given that I booked with Hotel tonight where you often get stuck in the least up to date room, I was super happy. There was practically a kitchenette level of a bar area that was set up for a great party. Dining table, sofa, tv - a proper suite. Big shower, super super clean bathroom, comfortable bed. The only thing I regret is that I didn't try the breakfast. The restaurant here is supposed to be incredible and was booked for a private dinner the night of my stay. Location also excellent. Staff were cool guys. I'd stay here again for sure.
Booked this hotel for many of our corporate guests and the service is always top notch! Definitely one of the best hotels in Riga. Secluded location works perfectly for those who appreciate privacy and comfort.
Hotel Bergs is a beautiful and cosy place to stay! We were very pleased with it's location and services it provided. The room was spacious and beautifully designed. The hotel was very clean and offered great night sleep. Breakfast was absolutely delicious! Highly recommended!
We stayed in a studio suite, and it was well designed, spacious, and clean (we prefer hotel rooms with wooden floors). Great location, really convenient for exploring the sites and restaurants in Riga.
There is nowhere better in Riga than Hotel Bergs for the comfort of its rooms, the pleasant and helpful attitude of its staff and the utter excellence of its cuisine. We generally stay in a "studio suite", which has plenty of room and with its downstairs sitting room is useful for entertaining visitors. It is priced at the high end of the Riga scale, but on a general European scale it is particularly reasonable for the quality offered.
Bottom line: Huge, well appointed rooms and a nice location make this property a winner. The Great - one of the nicest “hard products” I’ve stayed in. The room itself was very large, very modern. High ceiling, open and airy, with a sitting area, desk, and bedroom. Bathrooms were new and modern. Ample power outlets for gadget happy travelers. Breakfast was catered for an event, and was excellent. Other notes - the bar was small, the service and selection was great, however, it was used as a liaison point for certain clientele (those activities are legal in Latvia, however). This didn’t bother me, but your mileage may vary.
Excellent boutique hotel in a good location for exploring Riga. Breakfast very good with a range of buffet and menu items. Standard rooms are more of a suite with sitting area and kitchen. Staff very helpful and friendly. Ten minute walk to old town with numerous bars and restaurants nearby in the new town. Highly recommended.
I have nothing but praise for this very edgy, modern, quiet and beautiful hotel. It is a boutique style hotel, so refreshingly different from the big hotel chains. The façade has so much character, the location being where an old vegetable market at one point was located. It is centrally located, just about a 15 minute walk from the old town. The service was excellent. In fact, I could not get a tour guide for the old town, but the reception clerk volunteered to take me through it. The gym, while small, it was more than adequate. If you are a gym rat, there is a full gym next door which cost me just 7 Euros. Breakfast was included and had several healthy and delicious choices. I think the value for money was quite good here.
