This is the second time that I visit Bergs hotel for 4 nights. I absolutely love everything about this little gem of a hotel. Its quiet, the rooms are large, the beds are fantastic, there is a kitchenette in all rooms. The staff are very lovely and helpfull! Its the perfect hotel for relaxation, shopping etc. I have travelled all over the world and this hotel is my all time favorite! Its the only place to stay in when in Riga (if you ask me). The restaurant is also excellent!
Stayed at Hotel Bergs recently with two friends for three nights. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had in a hotel. Enormous room, sofa, comfy chairs, small kitchen area, well kitted out, huge windows - lots and lots of space, and all beautifully furnished. The hotel was charming and tasteful, the staff friendly and attentive without being over-bearing or intrusive and the breakfast is quite simply outstanding in terms of both choice and quality - the best I've had in a hotel anywhere in the world. It was warm, cosy, welcoming but stylish, and all within 5/10 minutes walk of Riga old town. We absolutely loved it, enjoyed Riga but actually the hotel was the best and most memorable part of our stay. We got an absolute bargain with a hotel and flight deal, but I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a decent hotel in Riga. The manager asked us for feedback as we left, 'anything we can improve?' - none of us could think of a single thing. Thanks to all the lovely staff who looked after us so well, hope to come back one day.
Superlatives all around for this boutique hotel, by far the best place to stay in Riga. Fantastic loft suites, perfecty clean, very polite and helpful staff, great location (minutes walk to the Old City, the nouveau art district and the central market/moscow district). Fringe benefit: no trace of the boozed up and rowdy cheap-flight-tourists who tend to occupy Riga in summer.
We booked Hotel Bergs for a long weekend and were not disappointed. The understated luxury enfolded us. Our rooms were wonderful and had everything we needed. We felt safe and well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing - we enjoyed an evening meal too.
I can understand why this is the top rated hotel in town. Service is polite and discreet. The hotel is very clean and very stylish. The breakfast is to die for, and it had a complementary al la carte food and barista coffee. If we wanted apple juice, the staff pressed apples for us to drink. Room service was also good. I can't find enogh good things to say. I think this is the best hotel I've ever been. Five stars all the way
I have traveled all over the World and have not found a better Hotel. It is not in the greatest position and is quite modern However the staff are the best that I have ever encountered, very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and superb as are the public rooms. The Restaurant/Breakfast room is lovely and the breakfast choice and quality top notch. This really is a very comfortable, relaxing top quality Hotel.
Amazing hotel, great deco very modern. Convenient location, good restaurant on site, a small arcade attached to the hotel. The rooms are well designed with mini kitchens, mini living rooms, they're like jr suites. Cleaningness is on the spot. A most stay while in riga.
Spent a few days over Christmas in this delightful, friendly hotel. It was quiet but a short walk to the Old Town with its bars, restaurants and beautiful buildings. The staff were efficient and the breakfast started the day off well. The room was spacious and warm.
The Restaurant is more then modern fashioned for this traditional Place, But unbelievable great. Please order a Latvian Starter, and enjoy the Fish before you decide to order sweets👍 Great Place and I know this Place for more then 12 years. 20 meters away is a Italian Restaurant, I remember that they are not bad.
Not sure why this hotel is so recommended, as I found it disappointing in many ways, especially considering it's price. The hotel might be okay for business travel, but I found it a bad fit for vacation. It is has a very "corporate cold" feel and the whole hotel is not very warm or inviting. The staff matches the same vibe, and never made me feel that welcome. The location might be okay for business, but I felt it wasn't well situated at all. It is a bit tucked away in a outdoor shopping plaza setting, which adds nothing to It's vibe. It is also one of the most expensive hotels in Riga, so it definitely doesn't match the price. And to further take away from the hotel, there is a massive construction happening right outside the hotel. Literally steps away. The crew is allowed to do construction from 8am to 8pm! The suite I was first given was directly facing it, in which you could hear the noise very clearly. When I asked to change rooms, the staff was reluctant to do so, making me feel like I was being a nuisance. all in all, not a great experience...definitely not worth the price.
