Amazing hotel, great deco very modern. Convenient location, good restaurant on site, a small arcade attached to the hotel. The rooms are well designed with mini kitchens, mini living rooms, they're like jr suites. Cleaningness is on the spot. A most stay while in riga.
Spent a few days over Christmas in this delightful, friendly hotel. It was quiet but a short walk to the Old Town with its bars, restaurants and beautiful buildings. The staff were efficient and the breakfast started the day off well. The room was spacious and warm.
The Restaurant is more then modern fashioned for this traditional Place, But unbelievable great. Please order a Latvian Starter, and enjoy the Fish before you decide to order sweets👍 Great Place and I know this Place for more then 12 years. 20 meters away is a Italian Restaurant, I remember that they are not bad.
Not sure why this hotel is so recommended, as I found it disappointing in many ways, especially considering it's price. The hotel might be okay for business travel, but I found it a bad fit for vacation. It is has a very "corporate cold" feel and the whole hotel is not very warm or inviting. The staff matches the same vibe, and never made me feel that welcome. The location might be okay for business, but I felt it wasn't well situated at all. It is a bit tucked away in a outdoor shopping plaza setting, which adds nothing to It's vibe. It is also one of the most expensive hotels in Riga, so it definitely doesn't match the price. And to further take away from the hotel, there is a massive construction happening right outside the hotel. Literally steps away. The crew is allowed to do construction from 8am to 8pm! The suite I was first given was directly facing it, in which you could hear the noise very clearly. When I asked to change rooms, the staff was reluctant to do so, making me feel like I was being a nuisance. all in all, not a great experience...definitely not worth the price.
Very good standard, service-minded staff, clean and spacious room. Located in walking distance from the old town. Quiet location. Excellent breakfast buffet. A safe choice for a pleasant weekend in Riga.
My husband and i stayed in October and it was amazing. The room was huge with a living area. Breakfast was included which had great choices and personalized hot courses on offer. Hotel was conveniently located to both old town and a large shopping centre. There were some construction work outside the hotel but did not cause any noise or disruption. If we come back to Riga would definitely stay here again.
This is a lovely hotel and only ten minutes walk from the old town. Staff are very friendly and on the ball and breakfast was lovely.. Rooms are modern and large and a very comfy bed. However, the one criticism I do have is the bathroom. Considering how modern and nice the room is the bathroom was a complete let down. Very dated, almost impossible to have a shower because of where the shower head was positioned, basically flood the bathroom or have your face 1cm from the glass shower screen. They should have made the bathrooms bigger and lessen the space in the bedroom. Showers over baths is not really what I would expect from a top hotel.
Everything about Hotel Bergs worked for us. My husband, grown up son and I stayed here for 2 nights and would definitely return. Great and charming location with excellent eateries in the little 'mews' if you didn't want to eat in the actual hotel. Our room was large, accommodated the three of us and it was very handy to have the kitchenette to store water, make a drink or wash fruit. Staff at hotel very helpful and the breakfast absolutely delicious - both buffet and 'made to order' were included
We stayed in 2 different 5stars hotel in Riga and the berg was by far the most luxurious of them, great suite nicely furnished, and service 5stars. Restaurants was as well excellent. All the small luxury of the world should be like this!
What you have is a wonderful hotel that is perfect for the traveler, businessman, or just any reason to visit Riga. Hotel Bergs is modern hotel is a city that is changing and growing into life as part of EU. The room - It was clean, large and modern. Everything you expect, including a kitchenette, cutlery and flatware if you are bringing home a takeaway meal. Comfy couch, a pillow menu, and large flat screen TV, a heated bathroom floors, and a bidet. The bed was also comfy, warn and perfect for a good night sleep. The service here was pretty much on par with 5 star. Our welcoming person was Thomas, a great friendly smiling person who helped carry our bags in, checked us in, and shared with us where all the sights were. He called places, and set us up for success for the trip. Every person there was kind, and great to work with. We had a super early flight 4am checkout, and they even offered to pack us a morning meal, so we would have something to eat at the airport, which at 4am is basically closed. Seriously good service. The food - Breakfast was included, and it's really good European fare. Meats and bread, and breakfast on order... seriously good food, worth getting up. This is probably one of the best hotels you can stay, great value, great price, great location, great service.
