The hotel location is perfect is close to everything, the room was spacious, the staff are friendly and nice, the price is also great.i really liked the decorations and paintings, the bathroom is spacious and clean.

Absolutely loved the place, ideal location, very close to main bus station, thought the interior was lovely, our room was large and the mini bar was reasonably priced, my only slight complaint was not a lot room at breakfast but would definitely stay there again

Location - is the one that makes this place very attractive. Easy to get, possibility to park (DO NOT USE HOTEL's PARKING OFFER - its much cheaper to park just on public parking spot near hotel). Hotel have good breakfast, not so reach as in many 4-5 star hotels - but still it was good food. Personnel is friendly, our requests were fulfilled quite fast. Generally it is all POSITIVE you can mark about hotel overall. Apartments are so small, that double bed is taking almost whole amount of it. In our room there was only possible to enter the room - and a bit of lear flood by the window - rest of apartment was taken by bed. I would say that Floor was around 4 to 6 sqare meters. You have to crawl to bed from foot part as there is no possibility to sit on it from the side. There is only ONE power plug, and it is located by the door. If you wish to charge your phone/tablet/notebook - you have to put them ... yeah, you got it - on the bed (as there is no other place in the room) and there is possibility that they will fall during the night as you will hit them with your feet. We had reservation for 2 people - but there was only one set of gel/shampoo/soap in the bathroom. Gladly there was still 2 sets of towels. Toilet paper - only one roll, less than half and no replacement - had to ask reception to fill it in. Was quite embarrassing. So, overall - hotel is nice looking, we were paying €50 for apartment (for two) for one night, and it was OK. But i will never suggest this place to anyone or stay there one more time - as there are better options in Old Riga with much better look and experience.

The only one PLUS of this hotel is the location! Room for 2 adult was like a corridor :( long and narrow. furniture is old, damaged. baths need to be repaired. very bad lighting in the room. towels gray and with holes. It was the feeling that we are in jail , because they have guards checking everyone going in and out, You cann't go out by yourself, because gates ate locked and guards have the key :) All breakfast food was COLD :( NEVER go back to this hotel.

If you want to use a minibar you must carry your oen bottle opener with you. Heating is poor and cause of high celings it takes long time to heat the room with electrical battery that you must turn on yourself. Before taking bath, check if the shower handler is working or you finish up taking shower under the tap. Carpets in the room where worn and dirty. And the hotel is not suitable for families with small children - stairs.

The only plus of this hotel is the location! Breakfast also ok. The room was cold, super old and not comfortable. Everything in the room is labeled individually like in a museum. Shower drain was very locked, creating a feets bath.... The staff don't speak English, they are unwelcoming and unprofessional. The security by the entrance gate make me feel like entering into a jail....

Very good location. But I think that's about it. Other than that, the room is so old. My room has no view whatsoever. And the bed is super super soft that it made my back ache. Lighting inside is also very dim. And the staffs simply just don't smile at all. Also, they have guards at the front door checking everyone going in and out. I'm sure that's for safety reason. But on the flip side, it gives you a sense of whether you are actually in a safe area or not. Kind of a strange procedure to me.

Hotel in the centre of Riga, old building with high rooms and decorated like a palace. Good (not great, but good) breakfast, ok rooms. Excellent location next to old town and tram/bus stop. Price/quality ratio excellent, at least in off-season. Pillows were a bit thin.

This is not a boutique hotel but it does offer some interesting décor and features with a small garden forecourt with fountain set back from the main drag so fairly quiet in comparison to other locations. It is very easy to get to from the airport - only 1.5euros on the 22 bus if you buy a ticket at the machine or 2 euros if you pay the driver. There is also a coach shuttle - no 222 which is 3 euros. It takes about 20 minutes from the airport - the bus stop is the first stop after driving over Stone Bridge. The hotel is located over the road - just take the underpass and you are there!

Although the location was fine, this is where it starts and ends. I have been to Riga previously but the Old town has been refurbished, and not in a good way, to similar, over-priced, average, no identity tourist restaurants, that could be anywhere in Europe, But the hotel, one of the worst, if not the worst breakfasts available, where for instance there was one functional coffee machine that people had to queue up for. Little fruit, no selection of food and limited, cheap bread and cheese. Hot food was hardly existent, with cheap tinned sausages. When we complained about the breakfast over the weekend, there was no management available, though, sort of helpful receptionists. Overall breakfast 1/10. To have a safe, none in the rooms, they wanted to charge €1.5 euros a day, though due to ineptitude this was never put on the final bill. The room was tired, dark, with no real wardrobe space and drawers that stuck. Little to no space if you had wanted to stay a week with a large suitcase, which, thankfully we did not. Bathroom was just adequate, though, needing of refurbishment, as was the whole hotel. I have been all over Europe and stayed at many hotels, this unfortunately was in the bottom three. Apart from location as stated, there is nothing to recommend about this hotel, even the bar closed at 11pm and we were forced to drink up dead on! There are better hotels in Riga for the same price.
