Good location with the tram and bus stop just outside the hotel and both running regularly. The airport bus also stops just outside the hotel. Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful The rooms are clean and comfortable. There was a good choice for breakfast and my partner was impressed with the cooked breakfast selection. We ate at the hotel on our first night as we were late arriving. They stop serving at 10.30pm, so if you would like a desert, ensure you order it at the same time as you order your main course. The food was very reasonably priced and very tasty.
We have booked this hotel for the past two years on our annual trip to Riga as its great value for money. The hotel rooms have always very clean and the beds comfortable, the ensuite have always been modern and clean with plenty of soaps and shampoos. The buffet breakfast is very good with plenty of selections from cooked breakfast, cereal, pastries and an impressive selection of meats, cheese and fish. The hotel has a tram stop and bus stops very close by but we like to take a walk into old Riga which only takes about 20 mins. The hotel staff are very friendly and provided great information about tourist attractions around town. Taxi’s are always dropping off so it’s easy to get one throughout the day, it costs about 4 Euro into Riga and about 8 Euro to the airport.
We did quite a lot of research before selecting this hotel and I glad to say doing our homework paid off. The check in was easy and the hotel looked great from the outside and inside. We had decided to upgrade to give us a larger room and free access to the spa facilities. We we not disappointed with our choice. The room on floor 10 was really good with great views from our balcony of Riga and beyond. We dined in the restaurant one one night of our three night stay and once in the bar. The food was of good quality as it was at breakfast where there was plenty of choice. The hotel was a twenty minute easy walk from the centre of Riga through some parkland and then along the road and although the bus and tram stopped close by we always walked. The airport bus also stops by the hotel. The hotel was clean, warm and the staff were very helpfull. We had forgotten an adaptor for the chargers but the reception staff lent us one for the duration of our stay. The wifi was good and free. The spa was a great way to warm up after walking all day. Overall we found the hotel to be very good and we would stay here again.
Excellent service, always ready to support. Big room with a very comfortable bed. Amazing breakfast with great variety of healthy food. Good location that allows getting both the city centre and the international airport easily. I am pretty sure that I´ll be back.
This was a great hotel to stay in Riga. We came to Riga for the Christmas markets which unfortunately weren't set up at the time of our visit but still we had lots to see and do. The hotel is situated just outside the city and is very easy to get to and from the airport just jump on the number 22 bus. We walked into the city centre from the hotel which took roughly about 15/20mins, but I think it was worth it. Only once did we grab a taxi and that was under €10 it was just far too cold. The hotel has a great breakfast selection and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. We also ate in the new restaurant on the top floor which has some really lovely views of the city but also the food was lovely. If however your looking for stodgy food, that is not your place to go. We also had a massage whilst we stayed at the hotel which was enjoyable and very reasonably priced. The only down side I would say is we booked a twin room only to find the beds had been pushed together, so it kind of made one big double bed which is not what we wanted. Luckily I was with a family member so we were ok but I would have preferred to separate beds. All in all a great hotel for a weekend break, close to the city centre as you come straight through the old town which is beautiful. I can imagine in the summer it's surroundings are very beautiful as the hotel is in the middle of a park but this time of the year make sure you wrap up warm!!
We stopped here in December whilst on a short break in Riga. The hotel staff are very helpful and the service is very good. We went on a B&B basis and the breakfast buffet was excellent......there was little that wasn't available! You can eat as much as you like! The rooms are comfortable though nothing special. The bathrooms are excellent. In fact for what we paid, i'd say excellent value for money. You can get a tram just outside the hotel that takes you into the old city. a three day pass is about 10 euros and well worth the investment if you are planning on travelling around the city. PS Don't forget to go to the market in the old Zeplin Hangers, it's fantastic.
Pleasant, clean, decent rooms (I was on 6th floor) Friendly and helpful staff, all had excellent English (useful, as my Latvian is terrible!) Breakfast bar had a wide range of food and drink and was plentiful. Restaurant on top floor was good and reasonably priced. Location - out of main town, but excellent public transport links to old town and airport right outside hotel. I would happily stay here again.
The Hotel is situated just outside the Old Town .opposite Victory Park .Transport links are good from Riga Airport you catch the 22 bus (cost 2 euros) and takes about 25-30 minutes ,bus stops outside hotel. There are 2 tram stops to Old Town ,one across the Park number 2 and tram 1,5,4, by the small kiosk very frequent. On check-in we had upgraded our room before leaving the UK, Check -in was smooth and we had a Superior deluxe room on the 9th floor , when we entered the room is was not made -up and had not been cleaned . I phoned reception to report this and the receptionist came up and told us it was the wrong room . We were still on the 9th in room 907 , The room had a queen size bed , double wardrobes, a writing desk which hosted the mini-bar and tv ,Two comfy chairs and a coffee table , There was also tea/coffee facilities in room. Separate bathroom with shower bath, sink ,heated towel rack and hairdryer. The Bed was very comfortable. We overlooked the Park and could see some of the Old town from the balcony. The Hotel has some shops in reception a hairdressers , small fitness centre and Massage/spa. The Park View Restaurant serves a buffet breakfast of hot and cold selections and is very good for choice, This Restaurant also does lunch and evening dinner and is adjoined by a lounge bar. There is a gourmet Restaurant called Le Sommet (open evenings only) the 10th floor and you have to book in advance, The hotel also has Conference room facilities. The staff are very helpful and they quickly sorted our check-in hiccup. We ate at the Park View Restaurant on our 2nd night and the menu offered local and international dishes ,the food was very well presented , and portions very good and resonably priced 3 courses with wine/coffee came to 68 euros for 2 people For starters we had Potato Pancakes with Salmon,Pan fried Scallops For mains Spaghetti with Tomatoes,Peppers and Mozzarella cheese,Fresh baked River Trout with Broccoli and sweet Chocolate Fondant and Icecream, We had a Pinot Gregio Wine
We stayed here for 5 days in October/November 2017. The hotel room was clean and cosy, and housekeeping were extremely thorough everyday. The breakfast was delicious each day and had all sorts of tasty treats from fresh salmon, scrambled eggs, a range of breads, and some really good tomato beans (which I wanted the recipe for!) fried potatoes, salads, fruits, the list is endless!!!! Staff were friendly and when we asked for directions and advice, they gave us great tips and were very helpful. I would absolutely stay here again, my only point would be the location, as it could be a little closer to the city of Riga itself, it didn’t effect us majorly, as we got cabs to and from the city, and on some of the non-rainy days, we walked as it was about a 10-15min walk, through a wonderful park and over a bridge - so it’s a lovely walk! I would love to come back in spring/summer time. An excellent 4 star hotel. Top tip: download the Taxify app to get brilliantly priced taxis/cabs. We got a cab for €2 which took us from the Riga City Centre to the hotel, we then used this app throughout our stay!
Nice hotel. We got a Taxi from the airport - cost just 10 Euros. The room was plenty big enough for 2, clean, with kettle, fridge, tv, shower, hairdryer and safe. All you need for a 4 night stay. Staff were very helpful, although the Concierge didn't seem interested in our queries, but the Reception staff were more than helpful, and they even got us a taxi for when we left. Its about 25 minutes pleasant walk to Old Riga, through the park then over the Bridge. Bar was typical hotel prices 5 Euros for a beer. We had breakfast the 1st morning for 12 Euros each. This was very steep (You can get it for 5 Euros in town - which is what we did). however you cannot fault the choices and quality of the buffet. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this hotel as a cheaper option if you don't mind walking into town each day.
