This has become one of our favorite hotels to stay while traveling up and down I-95. Very clean with modern decor. The front desk employees are very helpful and friendly, especially the young gentleman with the beard. I think he might be the owners nephew. We will be back.
After a long tough traffic day (especially from DC portion), it was a welcome stop overnight. Convenient quiet location off the highway. Comfortable bed...enjoyed quirky decor (My machinist husband got a kick out of the framed “meshing gears” pic in the bathroom!). Very poor water pressure for shower....gentle, soft flow, but not acceptable for rinsing shampoo from hair!! Another complaint was nonfunctioning room coffeemaker....it overflowed when water added, apparently broken sometime previously. Reported it to desk so hopefully next resident will benefit. Hot breakfast with plenty of options.
We were very pleased at this hotel for one night. It was clean and the room was spacious and very comfortable. Customer service was nice and courteous. We didn’t take the breakfast, we decide to leave earlier. But nice experience to this hotel, we were very pleased.
My husband and I took a quick getaway to the state fair this past weekend (09/29/17). We chose here because we enjoy choice hotels. It was okay. Nicely decorated. Breakfast was fine. The bed was comfortable. We discovered a large yellow stain on our sheets though. The front desk stated he'd take care of it but really meant he'd send up some fresh sheets. On our way out to get food we reminded him and when we came back is when he handed us some more sheets. After he saw the look on my face he asked if I wanted him to personally change the sheets. I declined the offer. The next morning, I noticed long straight black/ brown hair in the bathroom on the shower walls. Gross. I know hair likes to linger but... after the sheets incident it definitely made me question how clean the room was that I'd just spent the night in. These were my only issues however. If you want to stay here, just inspect your room a little.
This hotel is in a quiet location right off of 95 an exit before Kings Dominion. Arrived after a fun filled day at the park. Check in was a breeze, was asked if we had an animal with us, we did not but it is awesome they allow pets. We were given a first floor room. Upon entering the room it was very spacious compared to most standard double bed rooms I've stayed in. Right down the hall from the pool which was nice and warm very relaxing after riding rides all day. The only major complaints I had was the door jiggled even when locked which kinda worried us, but an easy fix, and the bed were hard no real cushion to them, so needless to say had to use some of the pillows to add comfort throughout the night. All in all was a good stay for the night.
The hotel sits in a quiet country side area off of I 95. It's very peaceful. The hotel has ample parking that's free. The lobby was very clean. Upon checking in the hotel attendant was very fast and courteous he even suggested a local pizza place to try. Our room was also very clean and the hotel provided a nucevamount of towels and a small crib for our little boy. The hotel has a nice smaller indoor pool. The only complaint with the pool is that it was very cold fit being a heated pool. Also the choice of flooring around the pool could have been chosen better. My son slipped and landed on his butt. He's only 2yrs old. He was ok but swing him cry made me feel really bad. Also the vending machine had half melted chocolate bars inside the machine. Other positives are that they have a complimentary breakfast every morning.
A pleasant experience with staff, cleanliness . A bit worn but nice, very good breakfast, hot food to enjoy. The bed and room were nice, comfortable bed and lots of pillows. Very clean lobby and parking area, overall a good stay
We stayed here for 2 nights since we were going to be at Kings Fest at Kings Dominion. From the direction we were coming from this came before Kings Dominion and we thought it was 10 miles from there, but turns out it's only about 7 and takes 5 minutes to arrive into the parking lot. Both directions are very easy on and off of I-95. Hotel is very close to a few restaurants and gas stations as well. You've got a Waffle House right next door and across the street is a truck stop with a Denny's and a little ways down the road you have a Golden Corral. Now, about the hotel and the room. The hallways you can tell this place is on the older side, but the rooms look practically brand new! Very nice and clean and the beds are very comfortable. The guy at the desk is very nice and friendly as well. WiFi isn't the strongest in the world, but at least it's free. I would definitely recommend and also come back whenever we're in the area.
at this location after a vehicle issue. The front desk clerk was pleasant, and was able to give me a room with ease for a decent rate. Room and bathroom was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and cozy. I would recommend this hotel, which is right outside of Kings Dominion. Right off of the main road in a nice, quiet area. Nice find!
I had been driving for 10 hours straight from Georgia when I exited at exit 104 in Virginia I-95 . My only plan was to fuel up and use restroom , but change of plan when I realized I was still over 300 miles from the Bronx. I went to my phone and found a few options at this exit in Ruther Glen . Comfort Inn looked to be best choice so I drove right over. I asked desk guy if they had available rooms and he said they sure did . They did not disappoint . My room was real big and very clean , as was the hotel. Vet up to date . The desk clerk was a real nice friendly guy . We checked in and walked across road to Denny`s for a quick meal . Had a great night of sleep. No I-95 noise at all . Bonus was the black out curtains in room to allow for darkness in the morning . We got up and had a nice breakfast and on the road we were. I also happened to see the indoor pool - this would be bonus for families traveling with kids . It was spotless as well . I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I had to .
