Take the flight of stairs up to the first floor and leave your shoes and coats in the hallway. Rustle up delightful meals in the contemporary kitchen which has plenty of space for storage and cooking. Settle down for cosy evenings in front of the warming electric fire and play games together. There is also a handy two-seater dining table set in front of the window which looks out over wonderful countryside views. Get some shuteye in the well-appointed bedroom with double bed, and a stylish shower room completes the interior. Through the door via the living room is a spacious balcony area with seating where you can enjoy an evening tipple while soaking up the views of the valley and Gunnerside Gill.

Gunnerside is a pretty village set on the River Swale and has a pub and a tearoom. Head to Wain Wath Force and Kisdon Force (7 miles), cascading waterfalls with walking trails and perfect swimming spots.
