The room was clean and the decor was charming- some antiques and propane fireplaces. There is a restaurant and bar on the premises. That night there was music. The building is old and has typical quirks that go along with that. This is not a chain motel, but I prefer staying at places like this. Our overnight was in October, so within 2 days they were closing for the winter. Overall it was very nice and in a scenic place. I would recommend it!

An Old Fashioned (in the best sense of the word) lake side hotel with a creaky, quirky charm we found endearing. We stayed in a second floor room that might charitably be described as snug. However, the indoor and outdoor common areas, particularly the abundance of seating with westward facing views of the lake, more than make up for it. The cozy, convivial restaurant/ bar area offered solidly tasy ,abundantly portioned reasonably priced food served by earnest and eager staff. We can not speak too highly of the expert, 5 Star service provided by Sabina. From beginning to end, she made our lodging experience one which we will speak fondly about for years to come.

Cute lake house. Room was clean and basic. Has Roku TV and you can use apps if you have an account. We had two full beds and a single tightly fit in the room but enough room for both of us. Large bathroom. Had plenty of hooks throughout to hang clothes and bags like I like. Regular bedroom type door with regular indoor Lock. Seems safe enough. It’s Like a bed and breakfast but didn’t include breakfast. House had shared kitchen sitting room and dining room on third floor where we ate a late dinner from restaurant on site that was short handed but very busy.theres a shared living room with library and TV on second floor. Enjoyed both shared spaces. Grounds had plenty of seating just was there late and it was very cold and wasn’t able to experience outside like we wanted. Staff was nice and accommodating and had a nice quiet sleep. I would stay again if in the area. Enough parking without restaurant patrons and about 20-25 minutes from Cooperstown.

Pretty clean, staff was very friendly. If you're looking for a "rustic" place to stay with lots of outdoor amenities (canoes, kayaks) this is the place for you. Otherwise, steer clear. However, the bed wasn't comfortable and basically creaked with every breath we took, pillows were paper thin, bathroom window blinds didn't come down all the way, which is awkward when you're showering or going to the bathroom in a second floor room with a view of a large part of the property and the window is directly in front of the shower... Second floor hallway area is slanted badly to the left, but our room was slanted badly to the right. Walls are pretty sound proof but you could still hear loud creaking from upstairs guests walking around, which kept us up most of the night. Sulfur smelling water that is either scalding or ice cold, your entire shower will be spent trying to get warm water. Tiny shower stall with old pipes sticking out way too far, which I hit my head on while trying to move out of the way of the rapidly changing water temp- tiny stall = nowhere to move. Restaurant food was fine, a bit overpriced. Only needed to stay for one night for a show in cooperstown, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer than that. If we come back to the area, we'll spend more money on somewhere a bit more modern.

We fell in love with the property, the restaurant staff and everyone was super accommodating. Alec was the highlight of our stay! However the room was so incredibly small that we could barely move in it. We were so cramped that we only stayed one night instead of two. We never asked for a refund we just left. So you know it’s bad when you leave this heavenly paradise because of the room accommodations
