Our stay at Moinho da Areia was absolutely wonderful! The historic property is beautiful, the bedding was highly comfortable, and you cannot beat the direct beach access. What truly made our trip special was the innkeeper, Cristina. She is fantastic! She prepared a delicious daily breakfast and went out of her way to help us with special requests, even providing a travel converter when we realized we forgot ours. A local music festival did impact our stay, making it less quiet than we had originally hoped for. However, the property hosts proactively informed us of the event well prior to our arrival, so we really appreciated the honest communication and great service!

We had a fabulous stay at Maison Emeraude. Franck and Miguel were wonderful and attentive hosts. We stayed there for two nights during our honeymoon and only wished we could have stayed longer! The breakfasts were incredible and we chose to have dinner there, which they offer every other night (don't miss it!). They also have a menu of snacks and drinks to choose from during the day. The room is incredibly spacious and steps away from a beautiful pool. The design aesthetic and hospitality of this place are 10/10. We hope to return some day and cant wait to recommend Maison Emeraude to any friends visiting Sao Miguel Island. You wont regret staying here!
