The Ramada Hotel in Plovdiv was a very good choice. A good hotel, very well located with a good service and a good restaurant. Rooms are large and comfortable. The staff is friendly. The meals at the restaurant are very good. You can enjoy a great pool. I highly recommend it.
Conveniently located next to a lovely park, just a few munutes walk to old town center. Old building, but well cared for. Strong wi-fi. Simple but sufficient breakfast (could do without the news telecasts while eating though - never a pleasing site).
I know we had to stay here as a group, but as you can see from the picture below, I did not feel safe in the room. The first night I placed the garbage can in front of the doorway. Also, there is no safe in the room, so hanging onto my passport was another issue. Also, the WiFi isn't secure/no password required. Strange smell? The "non-smoking" rooms that include an ashtray. The location is about a 5 minute walk from the main pedestrian street. That said, the AC worked great when it was 40C and the swimming pool was key.
We stayed at the Ramada Plovdiv Trimontium while on a Rick Steves 12-day tour of Bulgaria and it was excellent. The location near the end of the pedestrian way is perfect. Our room #138 had a sitting area but such was apparently not the case with the rooms for other of our tour members. The bathroom was very large and we had a queen sized bed. The breakfast buffet is large and plentiful with an excellent selection. There is a casino attached directly to the hotel but we never noticed any noise emanating from it. The staff was very friendly. There is a large shower in the tub in the bathroom. Bar soap was provided. Wash cloths were not provided, and WiFi was available in the room
This is part of a chain obviously but has everything you could want in a hotel Great bar of the fifth floor with views over the city and the new Victoria Grand bar and restaurant is well worth a visit Been here twice now and it is a good base Close to the park, Main Street, clubs and the amphitheater all a short walk
The location of this hotel is perfect. It is very close to the pedestrian street. The front desk is very kind and helpful and the rooms are spacious. It is also close to a small grocery store. There is free wifi.
You can see this building from a distance and for sure it must have been one of the most prestigious structures of this city. The interior decoration tries to convey a sense of glamour and luxury with a lot of gold colour but it is a bit old fashioned now. It is still the centre of the city and you can have a good view of the historic town of Plovdiv.
Do not expect too much, though the rooms are clean and spacious, yet the bath tube not quite. Either way, the bar/club located at the 5th floor is quite enjoyable. Please pay attention and count your drinks and consumption because the personnel may charge you something that you did not consumed.
I guess you get what you pay for. It's not a great hotel. The quality of the rooms and the service are ok if you are a single guy and do not plan on staying very long in your room. I don't think I will bring a girl there.
This hotel is located in the old and traditional part of Plovdiv. It is large and spacious with good quality wifi throughout. Naturally it has a bit of an 'eastern Europe' feel about it and is appointed accordingly. The public rooms are quite opulent but guest rooms are more modestly appointed. Warm, clean and comfortable and reasonably priced.
