This 3BR/2BA Chalet was built in 2000 and is continually updated. This home offers privacy and is situated next to the Mt Hood Nat'l Forest w/trails along the Zig Zag River. Features include soaring vaulted ceilings, a large yard with fire pit, lg deck, gas fireplace, internet, cable, and bluetooth sound system.

This mountain vacation home is located 5 minutes from three different rivers, hiking trails, Resort on the Mountain Golf Course and a variety of local restaurants in Welches, OR. Ski Bowl Resort is a 15 minute drive an offers winter day/night skiing as well as a summer activity park with bungee jumping, mountain biking, go kart racing, zip lining, and alpine sledding.

Please be aware that there is no trash pick up service in our neighborhood. Our guests must take out trash they create. We do have trash bags at the home and recommend that guests take trash to the Sandy Transfer Center just off Hwy 26 on way back to Portland (19600 SE Canyon Valley Rd, Sandy).

The vacation home is heated and features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a patio. There's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms and a dining area. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a coffee maker.

Good stay

The place was very clean and the host was very friendly, helpful, and responded quickly. My only minor issues are, theres little to no seasoning in the kitchen, and in the info sheet inside the rental there was something about guests taking the trash with them, but as far as I could see there was nothing about that on the Vrbo listing, But besides that everything was very well maintained and clean.

House in the Forest

The house is difficult to find (do not use Waze or it will get you lost) and it is literally in the middle of the forest. There are not enough towels and sheets and the host was unwilling to provide more when we asked- which is not acceptable. The road to the property is not paved and the access to the river is not pretty or really usable at all. The property is close to many beautiful places and it is a nice house, but in a remote location and without sufficient amenities.

Wonderful space, great location, great host

This house had ample space for four adults and four kids (ages 5-12). It was clean, tastefully decorated, had outdoor space for the kids to run around, is near nice walking paths right out the front door, and a very short car ride to all the area's attractions. The host was friendly, prompt, and responsive. Would stay here again.

We ran into travel issues with the airlines and at first Jeff was willing to extend our stay and then after getting our flights cancelled again Jeff worked with us in getting us a partial refund even though he didn't have to. Communication was great and I hope to stay here in the future.

Beautiful and peaceful and the river is just steps away. Prepare to take your trash with you as they don't have trash service there. Clean and has everything you could need.

This cabin is perfect, great location easy to get to, near trails, a beautiful river, and a cool local restaurant. The host was super quick to respond to our questions with kindness. It had everything we needed and was absolutely perfect for our family weekend getaway! Highly recommend.

A group of us stayed here for my friend’s bachelor party. He wanted a relaxed weekend of board games and some skiing, and this was the perfect place for it. It was very nice and cozy, a short drive to the mountain, and not too far from civilization if you need groceries or anything. Highly recommend!

Excellent Getaway!

We really enjoyed our time here - well equipped cabin, near Hwy 26 but feels a world away, and just 10-15 minutes for the ski resorts. A couple of great little restaurants nearby (Zigzag Inn!), and excellent WiFi at the cabin as well!

This was a cute, cozy cabin right off the main road. This cabin was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of room for my family of 6. It is a great location from all the ski resorts and stayed plenty warm although it was 16 degrees outside. Communication with the owner was great also. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home great for families

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and was perfect for our family. It was not too far from the ski lodges and other areas where we had fun in the snow! The house was exactly has pictured and described. The only reason why I didn’t give a 10 for the neighborhood was because the neighbors’ houses were abandoned and worn down, which made the area look creepy, lol but I know that’s beyond the owner’s and VRBO’s control. The house was well stocked and felt really homey. We would love to stay again.

Perfect mountain get-away

Cosy, clean and comfortable mountain house with beautiful views nestled in the forest. The kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room and games closet were well-stocked with all you could possible need and the decor was perfectly themed down to the big log-framed beds. The welcome pack and clear instructions were really helpful and thoughtful. Great location with a feeling of total privacy in the house and a grocery store and restaurants a short drive away.
