Didn't want to stay in the city and this was the perfect alternative. Absolutely beautiful hotel, right on a lake, with the most picturesque setting - quiet, great room, wonderful dining in the hotel and only a 15min drive from downtown Reykjavik. Couldn't ask for more

They were excellent and in an excellent location to see the Northern Lights. They will wake you if you ask them to when the lights are happening and they will get you anything you need or want. You do need a car but all of the tours are willing to pick you up at this hotel too. This is the second time we were there and would return again in the future if ever in Iceland.

We were upgraded to a Suite because of the construction they are doing on new hotel rooms and restaurant. Nice location with views of the lake, room was very spacious, unique and with great lake view. Serves dinner and breakfast for additional fee. We ate breakfast and it was very good. Overall, great stay, a short drive from downtown

First off, the staff was absolutely wonderful. I was, however, disappinted in the "hotel" itself. There were no amenities like in standard hotels such as blow dryer, shampoo, condtioner, hotel safe, etc. The bed was small and uncomfortable. The lake view was not pleasing to look at as there was construction going on. What made it pleasant was the staff... they were very nice and attentive.

We had a great stay and the hotel staff was very accommodating. They let us check out later due to our flight being late in the day. Everyone made us feel like it was our home. Great views

We had a very nice time at hotel kriunes. Staff was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed using the hot tub and having dinner at the hotel (it was delicious). We would definitely come back to stay here.

On arrival at the hotel the receptionist was very helpful and allowed me to check in early and also helped me book all my trips for the weekend. As the days went on I met more and more of the staff who are amazing and very accomodating. They are a beautiful family and made me feel like I was part of their extended family. The room was very comfortable and has all the amenities one would need when staying. They cook food every morning and every evening which for any guest who has been out exploring Iceland al day is very handy to come home to dinner. The hotel is in a. Eautiful location and overlooks the lake and has amazing views from every angle and a beautiful social area. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Iceland.

We enjoyed staying in this hotel because the staff was very accommodating and friendly and helpful. The owner recommended a tour route that we thoroughly enjoyed. Our breakfast was included and had an excellent selection that we found very satisfying and tasty. It was raining while we were there so we didn't see the northern lights, but the staff had a sheet to check off that they would wake you if the northern lights came out. There were several bookcases full of books to borrow. There were bikes and kayaks available and a hot tub and sauna.

The room was very nice, a family room, , alot of space, 2 bedrooms Breakfest o.k. (had better). Staff was nice and the area is lovely.

I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the room. There should have been shampoo ,body soap and an hairdryer in all rooms. We also have extra items in the lobby area if needed. We could not do anything with the construction during the your stay but the hole will be covered with grass next week.We would like to offer a free upgrade to our Hotel suite when you return to Iceland.Kind Regards Sara
