Fosshotel Reykholt

Nice stop

Liked the late check-in. We arrived midnight and check-in was quick and easy. Room was clean and spacious for 2 people. Glad they had curtains to block the midnight sun. Walls were a little thin bc I could hear the guy next door snoring so loud but I was still able to sleep well. Other than that, I couldn't hear anything else. Breakfast was included and delicious. Had a variety of options.

Icelandair Hotel Hamar

Super heplful staff, clean rooms, good location!

Stayed for 3 nights. Staff alerts you to Northern Lights if you like. We sat in the amazing outdoor hot pools every night, despite all the snow, we were comfortable! And when the Northern lights appeared, it was magical. Otherwise, staff went above and beyond to provide us with whatever 'extras' we needed (like a converter to charge our phones)...we didn't have at at hotel so I have no comments about the food. However, we loved the location, the room and the people. Would recommend!

Hraunsnef Countryhotel

Great Hotel with a country feel.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay. The food in the restaurant was easily 5 star. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The morning buffet had a variety of meats including smoked lamb, ham, beef. Several cheeses, breads, fruit jams, fruit juices. There was French toast and egg benedict. We watch the northern light while hanging out in their hot baths. Every where you looked there were cows, lambs, ducks. The rooms were clean and included robes to wear to the hot baths, coffee & tea.

Hotel Bifrost

Nice hotel easy to go explore various unique areas

Staff was extremely helpful and kind, provided excellent breakfast. The area is such a good place to use as a base for exploring the western pennisula, the Borgarnes area, geothermal activity and pipeline nearby, the lava fields, beautiful farms in the valley below, central to many roads so you can easily get to good weather conditions to enjoy Iceland easily, and change planned to suit the day.
