The service both in the day and and night were helpful, friendly and pleasant. The hotel is ok, good location to downtown, reasonably clean and well maintained. Parking can be tricky at night if the lot is full you have to park across the street. Keep your staff they are awesome.
Location is perfectly suited for doing business in the core, within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and Casino Regina. Staff were friendly, accommodating and efficient. Room was spacious and clean, very comfortable. Amenities included microwave and fridge. Very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was very good and quite complete. All in all an excellent choice.
Check your room carefully if you are put on the 4th floor. My first room smelled off and in my second room I had a bug on my pillow right before I went to bed. I won't speculate on the exact nature of the bug here... but it was enough to make me decide to switch hotels. I didn't see the review about the union strike before booking this hotel - but I'm thinking some cleanliness may be neglected during this time frame. The front desk was extremely helpful and polite throughout both of these negative experiences, but it has left my skin crawling.
Small, reasonably priced downtown hotel. Easy to find, close to transit, and walking distance to key amenities such as Victoria Park, Globe Theater, Cornwall Center. Comfortable, updated rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast included. Parking extra.
I have stayed here three times in the past, but had an odd experience booking my room this time. Management told me to enter via the parking lot entrance. When I arrived, I realized that they told me that because their workers are on strike!! They had been on strike for about two weeks, and management hired scabs to keep the business running. It was hard to get fresh towels, and without the usual housekeeping staff, the place was dirtier than usual. Turns out management is trying to take away the health benefits of the workers. I will not be returning until they restore these benefits and the usual staff that provide awesome service have returned to work.
Joanne at the front desk is exceptional! Last summer I spent over 5 weeks in Regina on business. The staff and hotel was wonderful and I referred to it as my 2nd home. I hadn't had the opportunity to return in almost a year. Joanne is still at the desk and noticed my reservation on file the day prior to my arrival. She greeted me as I walked through the front door, made sure I had an upgrade on my room and that my standing request for water in the room (a bit of an inside joke to start with) was taken care of. Rooms are clean and modern, complimentary breakfast a nice perk and staff is the feature that stands out in my mind. I have always and will continue to recommend this property to anyone that mentions visiting Regina. Warm homecoming every time!
Just so everyone is aware, this specific Holiday Inn is currently on strike. So only stay here if you are comfortable crossing a picket line. Parking is $12, free continental breakfast, close to the casino and restaurants.
we stayed there 2 days for business and found it satisfactory , the room is as usual clean and tidy , the breakfast is OK and the parking is convenient . You can walk to nearby eateries and shops but at night its a bit quiet . I can stay there again .
Excellent location right downtown near the casino and the Cornwall Centre. Lots of great restaurants and shopping in walking distance. It's an older hotel but it's been updated while maintaining it's charm. My room was spacious, comfortable, quiet, and clean. The breakfast was good, it's the only downtown hotel that I've stayed in that has a breakfast included and considering their room rates are among the lowest this is a big plus. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I will absolutely stay here again.
Pros- location, free coffee in breakfast area available all day, continental breakfast with lots of options, newly renovated, large screen Tv's, room and fridge and microwave. Room clean and well kept daily by housekeeping. Check in efficient and we were even able to check in early without difficulty. Cons- limited parking and cost 12 per day. No pool and no room to add one. Only one elevator for five floors. Nice hotel for couples or business traveller. Want to add that free WiFi worked well. I would definitely stay here again and would have no problem recommending to others.
