Byli jsme velmi spokojení. Výborné služby, skvělé snídaně. Milí recepční. Velmi čisto. Naprostá spokojenost. We were very satisfied. Excellent service, great breakfast. Dear receptionist. Very clean. Absolute satisfaction.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel only for two nights but had a great relaxing time before heading onto our next vacation stop (Amazon). This was a nice hotel in the very small town of Porto de Galinhas. The staff was extremely friendly and there was always someone at the front desk who spoke a little English (nice for those who don't speak Portuguese). The rooms are nothing to brag about. Our room (one king bed with a small twin) was very basic, and it was relatively clean. We faced the pool area and because it was a holiday we did have some entertainment noise issues one of the mornings. Otherwise, it was OK. This hotel definitely seemed one of the nicest after seeing the others. The pool, restaurant, and beach area were fantastic! The pool is large and has a good combination of shaded and sunny areas with plenty of seating. Then there are cabanas (no charge) that you can lay in/under that face the beach/ocean. There were plenty of reserved lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach for hotel guests to use as well. The beach was clean and local vendors would stop by to sell little things. They were not too aggressive. The big thing was for women to buy beach cover-ups. A lady would come every day and "setup shop" and all of the women at the resort would flock to her station to see what different colors and patterns she would have for the day, yes I bought one:). The water was extremely rough by the hotel, but still enjoyable close to shore. It was much more calm as you got closer to the town/natural pools. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional. It was buffet style and had tons of hot and cold options. Since you're a ways from where all of the shops and restaurants are it's nice to have the hotel restaurant/breakfast as a back up. The one complaint that I do have is the distance from the town. Even tho it's only a couple of miles away it does take a while to walk back and forth and the taxi is about 20 reais ($6.30) one way. I think the hotel should offer some sort of transportation/shuttle since the town and the natural pools are the main attractions in the area (shopping, restaurants, natural pools, calmer water to swim in). Next time we will probably look to stay closer to town (it was all sold out when we booked the trip). One last thing, if you're in need of a taxi to and from the airport use Armando Porto (what's app #- ++55(81)98790-7865 Portuguese speaking only). He is certified through a company there at the airport and is the nicest guy! He knows a lot about the area and showed us around (didn't charge us extra either but we ended up paying him double because he was so great). He also provided a lot of info and history about the area too. Cost one way from airport to hotel was about $150 reais ($47.20 USD).
Very familiar, nice location and good service and food. Nice pool and activities for the children. All the personnel were super kind and always very proactive. It has a nice beach and you can walk to the Villa P de Galinhas if you want.
Found the hotel from booking.com, not very well sign posted to find the hotel, it's a smallish hotel with very friendly staff. I booked the room with the hot tub on the balcony, it's worth it for the views alone. Yes the rooms area little old fashioned but they are very clean. Hammock on the balcony with such views you can only dream of, the grounds and sun beds are great, security on the beach makes you feel safe. Breakfast has everything you want , dinner is very good. The dinning room a little noisy and not a great atmosphere so we dinned out side which was great again service is good. The pool is amazing with the views again , very child friendly hotel. But for me it was the breathtaking views of the ocean - good value
I stayed for three nights, booked a Deluxe room, with Ocean view and jacuzzi. The view is very nice. the beach and pool area are pretty fine. but the room, definitively is not a deluxe room, very little, not clean, a lot of humidity spots in the wall, bathroom mirror with corrosion and a lot of glue spots (of mirror), lots of unused holes in the baths tiles, aluminum windows very noisy. The reception guy very rude, he ask me to fill all the blanks in the form (including occupation and other useless information). very slow, not good man. The has an humidity smell, AC so noisy, TV very few channels, only in Portuguese. WiFi totally poor, cannot make Whatsapp, Skype or Facetime calls, and intermittent service. Breakfast very good and a lot op options, but outside of the dinning room, that is very noisy as well. Staff very friendly. Beach is very good. Hallway to the rooms is very dark. Will not come back for sure.
Very nice place, it has a very good pool which was clean, and you had many spots around it to relax. The rooms were pretty simple, which I don't really mind, but the air conditioner was not very good. The service was quick and efficient, and we had no issues there, the food was good too. The location is not the best there, as the main attraction of the place are its natural pools, which are not in front of the hotel. It takes a very short time to get there though, but you have to take a taxi or rent a car to do so, unless you want to take the risk and walk, which can get dangerous. You can definitely walk through the beach to get there, and it's allright to do so during the day, but it's definitely not recommended at night. I would certainly recommend the hotel, the food and service is good, you have many relaxing spots, and you certainly get to relax. I will also add that the first thing you should do when you get there is ask at what time the tide is low, as that's when you'll get to see the fish in its natural pools. Be sure to get to the pools even before the time they tell you, so you enjoy the most out of them. Go to these pools as much as you can, it's the main thing to do. Remember to take a snorkel with you to enjoy it the most, and try not to take things that you might end up leaving unattended at the beach, as people will not hesitate to take them.
First impressions: The rooms: The rooms are clean and comfortable. The view From any room is overlooking the beach (some more then others). And there is a hammock in every room to use on the balcony, adding to the experience. The bathrooms are also clean and look up to date. TV access is good and there are a large selection of channels including some English ones. Plenty of plugs to cover all needs. The grounds are magnificent. The beachside bungalows are super. Lay back and watch the world go by. Pool side is lively; there is piped in music surrounding the pool that may not be to everyones taste, but still tolerable. For the kids. There are activities for young children (up to 5-7 yrs old). The internet in the rooms is good and occupies the upper age kids. Breakfast in bed is an extra R$45.- for delivery, on the other hand the breakfast buffet is super. Excellent choice of local and international foods to satisfy any pallet. Service: there are plenty of hotel employees walking around to ask for assistance or service. They are friendly and humble. Taxi service to "center" of town is about R$15.-
This was a Christmas family trip. The hotel was full, but it did not feel crowded. Rooms were nice and clean, personnel were really good and hepful. Breakfast was excellent, with several types of fruit and bread. The only downside was location. It was too far away to the village to walk, and the beach in front of the hotel was not very nice (really rough).
We stayed at BW Solar with our two small daughters, and our experience was very positive. The hotel is well appointed with features, although it feels at times as if they have forced too many features into too small a space. Having stayed in BW Vivá on our last visit (which is large and spacious), Solar seemed a bit constricted and claustrophobic. Older than Vivá, you can tell when you come to the rooms. However, we found ours to be well appointed, mostly functional, and with a lovely view (we took a hot tub room with sea view-- recommended). A/C was not very powerful and the spa jets didn't work in our hot tub, but it was a bit chilly outside at night for us to complain about it. The buffet restaurant offers fewer choices than Vivá, but the quality is markedly better. I also thought the staff was nicer. The beach on which the hotel sits is too rough to be considered as a swimming locale, but there are a limited number of complimentary lounge chairs and umbrellas available for early risers. Pool is much smaller than what's available at Vivá, but it isn't small. There is also a swim-up bar open during the day till 6pm. A small playground is available for kids, and a kids' club with dedicated recreation staff help to keep kids occupied. However, if your kids don't speak Portuguese, don't waste the time. They are sweet but won't be able to communicate. However, our kids had fun anyway, as the rec staff men and women were all really sweet and tried hard to help them. Overall, this was a good experience. Taxis are R$15 each way to the center of Porto de Galinhas, and unlike Vivá, there are a few restaurants and a convenience store within walking distance, too. The hotel can also arrange excursions for you, but again, no Portuguese is a limitation. We speak Portuguese well enough to manage, but those without any knowledge will have some trouble. That's not just a limitation of this hotel, though, but the entire town. However, to be sure, there was often at least one staff member around who could speak at least basic English, FYI. In the end, we recommend it-- it's more than serviceable and made for a nice long weekend stopover for us! Thanks BW Solar!
We stayed here during the World Cup (games in Recife), so we payed a lot more than we normally would. The staff do not speak good English (as others have said) and the room was average at best. The breakfast was solid but by far the best part of the hotel was the grounds (pool, pool bar, restaurant, and beach). In terms of location, it was a short (5 minute) cab to Porto to enjoy the shops and restaurants and it can only be walked during the day (on the beach). Would have been nicer if it were closer to town.
