Disliked: Cleanliness, communication, location, listing accuracy
We stayed here over July 4th weekend during a heatwave, and unfortunately this listing did not deliver on what was advertised.No real AC in the bedrooms: The listing advertises AC, but there's only a single split unit in the living room. None of the bedrooms had any air conditioning, and they were unbearably hot, hot enough that we seriously considered sleeping in our cars instead. We had to leave our bedroom doors open just to get any airflow, which meant no privacy for anyone in the house. The basement was also too hot to use. The host did bring over box fans, but not until the day before we checked out, after most of our stay was already over.Bug problem: Ants were crawling all over the kitchen throughout our stay. We also had frequent mosquitos and other bugs getting into the house, to the point where we had to use bug spray indoors. Between the heat, the lack of privacy, and the bugs, we didn't get a comfortable night's sleep the entire trip.Kitchen/grill: The kitchen was missing basic items like pots/pans and scissors, making it hard to cook. The outdoor grill looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time.Location: Fine, but fairly remote, not much nearby.Overall, this stay fell well short of what was advertised, especially for the price. I wouldn't recommend it, particularly in warm weather.
