This hotel is a very short walk from the train station and near all the top sites in Ravenna. The room was attractive, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast buffet eas one of the best I've had in many years of travel. Very highly recommended.
Stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights. It is a great location, very close to the centre of town and lots of restaurants and bars. The rooms were big and comfortable and the internet fast enough. My room had a bath with a shower in that I don't like, but person preference. It also took quite a while for the AC to cool the room and it never did really get cool enough. The staff were very friendly and their English was much better than my Italian! Breakfast was very nice. I also managed to get a coffee when we left early for the airport at 5:30am.
We stayed one night in this hotel. A great location about 100 yds in front of the small train station and another couple of hundred yds to the centre of Ravenna. It's an ugly looking hotel on the outside. Inside it is even worse. We booked a superior room. It was very large with large bathroom. Awful decor. Big heavy gold/brown curtains, brown doors....everything was brown, dark and gloomy. We looked out over the back of the hotel. Humming electrical generator, services, fire escapes. Better to keep the curtains closed. There were two pink chairs in our room. Covered is stains. They were really disgusting. They need to be dumped or recovered. Dust all around the piping. Large comfortable bed. Complimentary large bottle of water. Great toiletries. Room safe complicated so we didn't bother. Needed credit card or something else with a magnetic strip to activate. I am not going to swipe my credit card on a room safe. The air conditioning was not working while we were there. We were told it would be switched on that evening. We were able to cool down the room for an hour or so eventually, but then strangely it began to warm up again. We gave up on this and opened the windows. We were told that the air con switches off at 10 p.m. Breakfast was very good. Great selection. Best of our trip. Staff were very pleasant. Good communication by email also before arrival. Delay at checkout. One person dealing with many people and answering the phone but he worked quickly. There was a mix up with our payment. We received a confirmation a few months previously that our account had been debited when making the booking. We were then asked for payment again at checkout. I understood that we had paid. I was told that we hadn't. We were asked for our credit card statement to prove that we had paid. As we were rushing for a train I ended up making the payment. Now I have to search back through credit card statements to find out the situation. Ravenna is beautiful. This hotel has a great location. It needs refurbishment. It could be great.
Once again the RH hotel never disappoints. We are in beautiful Italy, just having arrived late yesterday. We stumble upon the RH hotel and yes They have a beautiful suite for the three of us right in the heart Ravenna. Breakfast is outstanding, the beds so comfortable, not to mention staff are so very friendly and efficient. Mille Gracie
Parking right out front! It is a city lot, but the hotel will sell you a city parking pass for this lot or any other lot for 48 hours for about 2 Euros! Nice rooms, nice common areas and a good breakfast. What more do you want?
All aspects excellent, just a perfect location with very polite staff. Parking right outside the front door, important if elderly.Breakfast, comprehensive to accommodate all requests and taste.I would certainly return again.Having stayed twice this year already.
My son was getting married in Ravenna, Italy and, since the family was coming over, we decided to book somewhere central so everyone could be independent. The NH Hotel was perfect: central with a special arrangement for parking; beautiful rooms; helpful staff at reception; friendly cleaners; excellent variety for breakfast. I really couldn't have asked for better!
Return gladly again. For side seeing the Hotel is optimally located, all important and interesting historical buildings are easy to reach on foot. Only inconvenient is, there is no parking space directly at the Hotel. But direct opposite the Hotel there is a public parking space and the Hotel provide you with a permit to park there, with a very reasonable price.
Well appointed hotel a short walk from train station. Very interesting historic town. Good breakfast selection. You must spend at least a day to view all the mosaics and the Domus di tapetti di pietro.
Stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Very short walk from train station. Excellent breakfast selection and comfortable beds. Our room was a bit small for a double, though, and was situated on the top floor with a sloping ceiling giving the impression we were in the attic. However, there was a kettle with coffee and tea supplies (not common in Italy), and we particularly appreciated the multi-function adaptor.
