NH Ravenna

some staff very nice , others not, location great but hotel run down and facilities and food really very poor. It is a pity as there lack good hotels in this location and we were hoping that this brand which is usually good could deliver something reasonably pleasant but no.

The NH is in a wonderful location - close to the train station and walking distance to most of Ravenna's attractions. It was mostly clean but not very well appointed. Some of our towels were ripped, there was nowhere in the bathroom to put your toiletry bags. There wasn’t a lot of storage at all - the bedside tables were wooden boxes that had a glass (plastic?) top that was greasy. I washed them myself. High deep windows with no view. The people were friendly, Breakfast was good. We asked them to check the air conditioning. They said they did and it was working and we’d be cold, but it was not very cool in the room. Sometimes it was cooler in the hallway than our room.We learned that they turn the ac off at 8 pm. It was an okay place to stay but I would look elsewhere if I am ever lucky enough to get back to Ravenna in the future.

We've stayed in other NH Hotels and found this one like the others: clean, nice rooms, up-to-date bathrooms, ample breakfast choices and excellent service. But this one had the added advantage of being just a few blocks from the train station so it was easy to wheel our bags instead of taking a cab. The tourist area of Ravenna is not large so it's easy to get around to everything you want to see, and there are many good restaurants nearby. We ate at the hotel one night and it was fine but not exceptional.

When I found the hotel I had reserved through was a B&B with no lobby, no one to ask questions of, and on a busy street corner with a traffic light I had no choice but to find other accommodations. To my luck, the NH a block away and closer to the railway station (no need for the 7 Euro taxi) was available. Unfortunately it has no restaurant, but breakfast was available. Reception was very helpful during my stay which is what I required since I did not speak Italian.

IT was always cleaned and pleasant to arrive at my room and have that wonderful bed made t me with a chocolate on top! The towels were always impecable. The breakfast was very diverse. IT was a marvellous stay.

The hotel was ideally situated, and easy to reach on foot as we were travelling by train with wheeled suitcases.Very friendly staff. We received a free upgrade to a suite which was superb.Breakfast was good, unfortunately the hotel restaurant was not available the night we were there, but not a problem as so near the town centre with a choice of restaurants.

Great location, it is possible to reach all places of interest in Ravenna, walking for 5-10 minutes. Rooms were nice and clean, although there were not enough place to put clothes. The hotel surrounding is quiet, it is possible to get some rest and sleep well. Breakfast is good, staff is rather friendly.

some staff are really great, others are not friendly to clients. though rooms were well done. morning buffet quite simple and limited in choice. 2 coffee machines that need to be replaced. too much time for having a bad coffee. blame for Italians. Rooms need renovation if the hotel wants to compete with other hotels. And for sure ==> prices of drinks are way too high. + €5 for a regular beer. should be a service not an extra cost.

The hotel is slightly further out of central Ravenna than my last hotel but it was still possible to walk almost everywhere. On one night I walked to the Opera which was just 5 minutes, and coming back was able to choose from a variety of snacks in the foyer for a late supper and pay the receptionist, which was very convenient.

Hotel located in central Ravenna. Clean, easy inexpensive parking in front of hotel – ask for ticket at registration. Breakfast excellent with also healthy stuff. Quiet I slept well in a spacious room on top floor. The high ceiling makes the room feel spacious.
