The hotel was ideally situated, and easy to reach on foot as we were travelling by train with wheeled suitcases.Very friendly staff. We received a free upgrade to a suite which was superb.Breakfast was good, unfortunately the hotel restaurant was not available the night we were there, but not a problem as so near the town centre with a choice of restaurants.
Great location, it is possible to reach all places of interest in Ravenna, walking for 5-10 minutes. Rooms were nice and clean, although there were not enough place to put clothes. The hotel surrounding is quiet, it is possible to get some rest and sleep well. Breakfast is good, staff is rather friendly.
some staff are really great, others are not friendly to clients. though rooms were well done. morning buffet quite simple and limited in choice. 2 coffee machines that need to be replaced. too much time for having a bad coffee. blame for Italians. Rooms need renovation if the hotel wants to compete with other hotels. And for sure ==> prices of drinks are way too high. + €5 for a regular beer. should be a service not an extra cost.
The hotel is slightly further out of central Ravenna than my last hotel but it was still possible to walk almost everywhere. On one night I walked to the Opera which was just 5 minutes, and coming back was able to choose from a variety of snacks in the foyer for a late supper and pay the receptionist, which was very convenient.
Hotel located in central Ravenna. Clean, easy inexpensive parking in front of hotel – ask for ticket at registration. Breakfast excellent with also healthy stuff. Quiet I slept well in a spacious room on top floor. The high ceiling makes the room feel spacious.
The beds in this hotel are simply delicious, you sink in them as if they were gigantic burratta pillows: soft, immaculately white, and delicious! If you're a non-smoker, MAKE SURE they give you a non-smoker room because no matter how hard they run the fan, the stale-cigarette smell is hard to mask. The rooms are very clean, bright, and airy. The hotel is very central; walking distance from the mosaics, wonderful restaurants, and great nightlife. Nice coffee machine for your morning coffee. The is a wonderful international converter that's super convenient for your electric needs. I would stay here again.
My Wife booked three nights in a superior room through booking.com, requested non smoking. Confirmation said superior room with separate sitting area. Hotel website makes clear distinction between standard and superior as does booking.com. We had the option to book a standard but paid the extra for superior as wanted more space. Hotel Website also says city views from all rooms. Given key to small room that smelled like stale smoke situated in front of elevator. No sitting space and no room for two suitcases. My wife addressed with front desk and showed what confirmation said. Front desk woman said she would "check" with her colleague if a larger room is available. We were reassigned room to a larger with two arm chairs. Definitely now a superior in relation to room size and king size bed. No smell of stale smoke but a view of the back staircase and air conditioning unit. Still no city view. Can't help feeling like the hotel was blatantly trying to rip us off with initial room allocation, I am an NH member and am very disappointed by our experience on arrival. The woman on reception was pleasant but did not go out of her way to assist when we asked for a city map. We were handed one and my wife had to ask if she would mind marking where the hotel is. We have had far better reception during the past three weeks in Italy including at Milan NH Michiavelli. Only hope our stay improves and will provide update at end. Just wanted to warn others that they may not get what they book.
Excellent Staff and great location: Close to the Station and the town centre. Nearby buses to get to the sea. Parking is available in front of the hotel. Breakfast Staff were amazing and accommodated our 2 year old, helping even while they were clearing the breakfast buffet away. The rooms are clean and quiet with air conditioning but also an option to open the windows for fresh air.
Visited Ravenna for a night on the way to Rimini. NH is situated at the edge of the city centre with everything within 10 minutes' walk. The room and breakfast was superb. Our dog could stay with us. Reception was very helpful.
I actually stayed twice at this hotel - in March and in April - and my review will be about both the stays. The first time I was in a standard room and the second time - at an executive room. Both room provided enough comfort but of course the executive room was much larger and had some extra amenities. like bottled water, tea\coffee maker, a bathrobe, some extra toiletries. The hotel is situated in the center of the city and every sight is within a walking distance. So even if you are in Ravenna on business, you can still have a little sightseeing time. There are lots of shops and good restaurants around and any recommendation of the hotel staff proved to be very good. The hotel is very clean and elegant, there is a restaurant and a bar on the first floor. The beds are very comfortable. The staff of the hotel was extremely efficient and friendly. We also received many recommendations about sightseeing, they provided maps and brochures. Breakfast at the hotel is lavish, with lots of choices and everything I tried was delicious. Coffee machines provide excellent fresh coffee.
