NH Ravenna4.0 out of 5.0

A good hotel in an excellent location, just minutes from the main sights of Ravenna. The rooms need to be updated but the service is very good and the breakfast offers a good choice. A good choice either for business or holidays
Ravenna has no luxury hotels and travelers have a variety of choices, from mid-level to barely first-calls hotels. This property is modern, clean, and convenient to the central city and all of the monumental sites; moreover, it is less than an easy five minute walk from the train station. My double/single occupancy accommodation was probably one of the largest hotel rooms I've ever had in Italy, with comfortable king bed and fully equipped bathroom. The in-room safe was large enough for my computer. The breakfast was fine, but nothing special, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Having stayed at more than a few Ravenna hotels on my many trips there, I suspect that I will probably return to this one next time.
We stayed just for day on a business trip. The hotel is nice, but mostly what capture our heart was the friendly fon desk. Nice rooms, good breakfast. In general is a hotel we would recommend at least for business travellers , since it has a roomy outside parking and is in walking distance from the train station.
The hotel is great with the typical NH standards. The frontdesk is amazing. Marco welcomed us with a surprise and his warmest smile! That really made our stay exceptional. The room was great, nice accomodation and very spacious. We will be back!
We spent four nights here, taking the time to enjoy the sights of the city. It is a credit to the NH chain. When we checked in, we were given a choice of rooms, all of which were very comfortable to quiet. The room had everything that you could want, to ensue a comfortable stay. All of the staff were very helpful from suggesting places to eat to transportation information. while the restaurant was not open in the evenings, the breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide selection of foods for all tastes. The staff ensured that nothing ran out and that if a guest asked for some thing, it was delivered to them right away. The best place to stay in Ravenna.
location and service are very good, food is taesty and rooms are nice. Hotel is very queit but near from Ravenna center. Our business trip was very nice, because we decided stay in NH Hotel and the next time we will stay there.
some staff very nice , others not, location great but hotel run down and facilities and food really very poor. It is a pity as there lack good hotels in this location and we were hoping that this brand which is usually good could deliver something reasonably pleasant but no.
The NH is in a wonderful location - close to the train station and walking distance to most of Ravenna's attractions. It was mostly clean but not very well appointed. Some of our towels were ripped, there was nowhere in the bathroom to put your toiletry bags. There wasn’t a lot of storage at all - the bedside tables were wooden boxes that had a glass (plastic?) top that was greasy. I washed them myself. High deep windows with no view. The people were friendly, Breakfast was good. We asked them to check the air conditioning. They said they did and it was working and we’d be cold, but it was not very cool in the room. Sometimes it was cooler in the hallway than our room.We learned that they turn the ac off at 8 pm. It was an okay place to stay but I would look elsewhere if I am ever lucky enough to get back to Ravenna in the future.
We've stayed in other NH Hotels and found this one like the others: clean, nice rooms, up-to-date bathrooms, ample breakfast choices and excellent service. But this one had the added advantage of being just a few blocks from the train station so it was easy to wheel our bags instead of taking a cab. The tourist area of Ravenna is not large so it's easy to get around to everything you want to see, and there are many good restaurants nearby. We ate at the hotel one night and it was fine but not exceptional.
When I found the hotel I had reserved through Booking.com was a B&B with no lobby, no one to ask questions of, and on a busy street corner with a traffic light I had no choice but to find other accommodations. To my luck, the NH a block away and closer to the railway station (no need for the 7 Euro taxi) was available. Unfortunately it has no restaurant, but breakfast was available. Reception was very helpful during my stay which is what I required since I did not speak Italian.
