Stayed for 3 nights as it was closest to British Intl school. It's clean and value for what it charges. Breakfast was average and staff is polite but lacks English skills. As transport is pretty expensive in Phuket we decided to take the hotels suggestion and decided to walk a short distance in the behind the resort and were able to try out local delicacies.
Thanks a2 for making a difficult situation easier and most pleasant. My husband had an operation at Bangkok Phuket hospital. So my twin 7 year olds needed somewhere close to visit him everyday. A2 was wonderful soo convenient (you do need to book Taxis 30mins ahead ) The pool was great to keep the kids entertained and the staff were wonderful. The staff were fantastic with the kids too. We were there for a total of 9 nights. We had the family room. Which was great. Oh and the gym next door is free which was fantastic. Once again thanks a2 for making a difficult situation much easier.
Hard to review this hotel - some very good things, some very bad. We were staying here as my wife has just left the hospital which is just up the road. Rooms were very well furnished and a lovely swimming pool which we could climb into from our verandah. Location is pretty poor with no restaurants within walking distance and no transport available. English level of staff is surprisingly low. Some staff were very helpful, even organising the hotel car to take us to the hospital for free when our taxi didn't turn up. Other staff (lady at front desk) was just straight out rude and completely unhelpful. Restaurant had some good food, but service was pretty poor and one dish we ordered was probably the worst tasting food I have ever eaten. Other dishes were fine. A real mixed bag.
We mostly stayed here because of its location and very value for money. We loved the cottage room wish is perfect for a family. The week point would be the reception staff. Don't expect anything much, sometime they are too tired.
We stayed here for one night and found it a lovely hotel the staff were polite and helpful. Our room was spacious and very clean, the facilities are of a very good quality big mirrors, big bed, working safe and a great shower!! The only negative I have about the hotel is the breakfast room the breakfast was lovely but please can you turn the TV either off or the volume down we couldn't hear ourselves speak.
We stayed in the hotel for 1 night as we had to stay near to bangkok hospital. A small resort, very limited breakfast buffet with just 2 or 3 families !!!!. getting a taxi was not easy and the room doesn't have a minibar. The worst thing in the room was the small but harmful ants. Just seconds after I put a twix bar on the table next to my bed, an army of these ants were on the table and the bed !!!!!! They have different pools which fit different ages, but I didn't try any to judge accurately. They nicely gave us 2 hour late checkout for free.
like other reviews say, not a bad looking hotel. The surrounding pool area with personal access to every room is very cool. The service on the other hand is terrible. We are staying here because it is close to Bangkok Hospital where we have a relative recovering. They had no problem getting us a taxi to the hospital but if you need a taxi back after 5:00pm you might be in trouble. We were stranded. You would think we would be able to get a taxi in that area but we could not spot one. We asked several people and got nothing but "no taxi" I called the hotel and asked them to send a taxi and they said the taxi service was done for the night. I asked them if they could help us and send an outside service and they refused. To top this all off we are travelling with our 3 month old infant son and I have previous injuries from a. Motor bike accident and could not walk far. Which they were aware of both. The next morning we came down for breakfast and the buffė was completely cold because none of the warmers were lit. A cold, slimy fried egg, cocktail hotdogs and stale bread for toast is not worth 250 baht. Other than this the rooms are comfortable and clean and function well.
We got a room for 3 nights at this hotel. Nice amenities with a lovely large pool area and spacious rooms and bathrooms. We would absolutely recommend to stay at this hotel if you need a place to stay closer to the airport and do not intend to go into phuket town. It's quite far from everything and taxis cost a fortune (Especially as the hotel takes additional provision which increases the price). Also you should be aware that you might sight one or the other rat in the pool area, as happened several times to us. The staff at the reception was everything but what you would expect from a 4* hotel. Almost no English and not very motivated. I don't remember having seen a single smile on their faces. I should also mention that we got called several times by the reception, asking what our intentions for the next day are, if they can arrange trips or transports for us. Some might appreciate that help, some find it annoying. If you belong to the latter, there is a travel agency next door to the right with friendly personnel and competitive prices.
The a2 is a nice small resort near Phuket town. Away from the hustle and bustle of patong, one can enjoy what Phuket used to be like before commercialism took over. Clean spacious rooms, warm friendly staff, and less than a 5minute walk away from a local outdoor market with plentiful options of food! Highly recommend having own transportation if staying at the hotel as it is away from everything.
We have stayed at this hotel before so thought it's a good idea to return.turns out it wasn't so pleasant as we anticipated. Upon arrival no one was there to greet us or help with our luggage. We unloaded the car and walked to the front desk where there was 1 person talking to another staff member totally ignoring the fact that we had arrived. Upon checking in we also did not recieve any welcome drinks. We carried most of our luggage to our room. Breakfast was nothing special mostly Thai. Staff were not friendly no smiles and did not speak any English. On our stay there was a loud function held during the evening and no warning had been given. Kids could not sleep at all. Overall it wasn't a very pleasant stay. Very short staffed and didn't feel welcome. Will not be back
