This was my second visits to Blue Ocen Beach resort. I had fantastic exp during my first visit. However, this recent visit was not that worth visiting due to Monsoon & ban on alcohol. Now this resort is no more serving liquors, if you want you can buy it from out side by paying exorbitant price. Beach decks, shacks all are closed due to Monsoon, beaches are dirty due to high tide and you can not go to beach as its not safe. In monsoon this place may trun out to be nightmare.

Blue Ocean Spa and Resort is 5-6 km from the main Ganapatipule town and beach. A sprawling property spread over acres of land, it has a big swimming pool and a water park as well (water park is chargeable @ INR 500/- for an hour). The campus is lush green with innumerable trees and plants. Since we visited during the onset of monsoon, the greenery was stunning and extremely soothing to your senses. The property also has its own beach with a cafe overlooking the sea. We stayed in a villa and it was really big! It also had its own porch-like sitting area. The room was well-equipped with a mini-refrigerator and tea/coffee maker. The toiletries were also of good quality. Overall, the stay was nice and luxurious. However, there were a few things that could have been improved to make the stay a perfect one. Firstly, the beach is not being maintained properly. The beach was muddy, sticky and blackish. Even the water near the beach was blackish and we were not comfortable to get into the water. Also, the beach lacks cleanliness as we could see heaps of plastics and bottles lying around. The hotel needs to be a little careful about the maintenance of the beach. On the other hand, the actual Ganpatipule beach near the temple (5-6 km from the resort) was much cleaner and nicer. Secondly, the restaurant offers only a limited variety of choices. Also, there was no sea food available, which you generally expect when you are in the Konkan. The food is a bit overpriced too.

This was one of the superb stays I have had recently. Resort is trader cross 80 acres of land with over 30 rooms. We had selected the executive room which was over 400 +SQ feet with separate baggage and bath area. There was also private open to air shower area attached to our room. AC was super, bed was big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids, it was bigger than king size. Kids loved the kids pool(which of course was started only after rigorous follow up. They may ask for Rs 500per kid but insist that it is in package and waive it off. They have a private beach which is across the road from the resort. Beautifully maintained with coconut trees, lawn , gazebos. They served all drinks at the beach(liqour stopped due to recent notification, but u can carry your own). They also have a shower area on the beach which I have never seen in India. Entire resort is tastefully developed and maintained with trees everywhere. They have lord Buddha statues with fountains and soft music playing everywhere near the beach area. Food is above average and reasonable. I am attaching ala carte menu. Breakfast spread was good. Few negatives: Restaurant always insist for buffet, 500+tax if we wanted to eat in restaurant. Room service is the only option for ala carte Pool water was little dirty Since the resort is spread across over 80 acres , there is some walking involved from room to reception or restaurant. Although they have a club car but I could use it 3/5times Room service could improve. No mobile networks. Airtel, Jio - 0 network. Vodafone- comes and goes with no data Idea- average network They have free WiFi in lobby area but it is also not very reliable. Inspite of all the negatives , I still give a 5* for value for money .what else can you get for 5000 per room night for executive room with free breakfast? If you are in Ganpatipule, this is probably the best bet. I doubt if the resort is making much money considering the facilities.

May'17--this property is located in Malgund; which is around 5 kms from Ganpatipule; so if you have your own vehicle its convenient. rooms are neat and well maintained. Service is not that great and i had to follow-up on a number of occasions. there was no attendant in the swimming pool nor kids pool. Food is so-so. Beach front is excellent, clean and the spa service is nice.

Had and excellent and comfortable stay at the hotel. The property is nicely surrounded by lots of greenery, staff was courteous and very helpful- be it the front office guy or the guard at the gate. Food quality is good but limited, considering we were vegetarians. Room needed some maintenance, broken shower faucet, and rack handle; however, overall a good stay. Swimming pool was the winner, after long I stayed in a hotel where my feet didn't touch the ground at one end, so really enjoyed the swim and the pool side café. Very nice and clean place. Very nice gym and a kids waterpark. They are expanding so expect more coming your way.

The resort is amazing... very green, clean, spacious with an absolutely amazing beach. It was a great experience to stay here and would definitely travel back for more. The service and staff was great too. The location is a little far from the main temple and city area as such but we enjoyed the peace and were only too glad about it. The whole resort has a very Thai feel to it with the way it has been built. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only disappointing part was that the pools weren't very well managed. The adult pool was shut and had algae and the kids pool though very very well made and would have been absolutely great, wasn't too clean and so we had to give it a skip. Apart from this, loved every bit of it. Would surely recommend this property !!!

Its a 6 hour drive from Mumbai which makes it a good weekend getaway options. Train or bus to Ratnagiri is an option too since this beach is only about 30 kms from there. The resort has a peaceful vibe and a great location. Pick the rooms by the beach side and you get a chance to wake up to the beautiful view of the ocean. Tips/points: - Room service is not the best - Food is average - The beach is clean, quiet and calm enough for a swim - Good place for a family trip

I had been here in March '17 with friends, the place is simply amazing. It has its own private beach, and is around 3 km from the famous Ganpatipule Ganesh Mandir. Malgund is one of the nicer beaches in the area and this hotel had its own private beach. Rooms were fantastic and the pool was more than welcoming. The best part of the stay was the Butter Chicken.....It is without doubt one of the best i have had in my life and that's saying a lot.......Nice place for family trips......

Had to visited this properly recently with my wife and 4 yr son, and I have to admit that this was one of my best stay ever. To begin with the hotel property it self is very good and would want you to spend the entire day either at their private beach or at one of their spas recreation center's or just in your room . Food served it 10/10 the only thing I found it to be bit pricey. However one would not mind if you get value of the money spend. I really had good time and will plan a visit again in rainy

Blue ocean resort has private beach property to boast of. Even during a sunny day there is ample place to relax in the tree shade, beach is clean, sparsely populated and gives enriching experience. We especially experienced the breeding crabs and it was fun spending time in calm and serene environs. Staff is kind and hospitality was good too. Food was to our liking however the menu cards definitely need revamping as most stuff was unavailable. What could be better- the water in the water park for kids was dirty and had tadpoles in the water rides. This was one amazing attraction for kids and can be maintained way better. Spa facility had issues as the steam set up wasn't working however we were provided discount on the rates. There is no network connectivity in the resort which is a blessing in disguise as you are able to spend time by yourself however it is a challenge too as there is no way that you can pay by credit/ debit card All in all lovely experience with few things that can be improved upon....
