As I write this review, I am trying to go through my vocabulary for finer words! And I feel no matter how much or what I say, it will not be enough for the benchmark this hotel sets for you! As soon as you enter the property, the grandeur takes over! Its grand of course..with almost everything around you also owned by Hilton, you almost feel like you are in a Hilton Village! The valet is quick..its superbly busy during the weekends but valet's ensure you are quickly taken care of..and oh my..as soon as you step out of the car..there is someone to assist EACH and every guest that walks in..to take them to the receptions. Dont be shy as you will be smiled and greeted by everyone that works there as you walk through the reception. It took us about 9 minutes to finish checking in despite atleast 10+ people waiting to be served..thanks to the 7 reception staff that assist guests quickly. While you are being assisted by reception..the guest relation ladies ensure they keep the other family members busy in conversation. Then you get taken to your room and boy once you walk in to the rooms..you just wait for the concierge to leave so you can dance and run around in joy because it will be the finest room you will ever see! This review is getting long..so let me tell you..the pool area is exceptional..the staff is great..the bathroom and bathroom amenities..the bathrobe..omg..it is the softest thing you will ever come across (you can buy it from a store downstairs). Few things we would like the hotel to improve on? The food trolley doesnt get taken away quite as fast as it should. The pool isn't temperature controlled..I know its summer..but the water was ICY COLD..that's okay to some..but I still feel it should have been slightly warmer..the adult pool has adults putting floats and make it look like its children's pool..that needs to be monitored! All in all..I am still out of words for the fantastic stay I had at this property that surely sets benchmark for other hotels! CEO's of other hotels..please visit this one and see what they are doing better! Best of luck!
This is our second visit, we come from Europe and absolutely love this hotel. The staff in this hotel is amazing, they are the ones who make your vacation special. The little things are very important that make you come back. Its the best customer service we experienced, from reception, valet staff, pool staff, waiters, restaurant staff, cooks, mini club, our in room dining, house keeping, Camelia lounge- perfect afternoon tea, Peacock alley, best architecture we have seen, very good energy. We would like to thank Jure Lisec ( guest relations manager) for his professional touch , he knows how to treat guest. Congratulations to the inner architect, very specious. The rooms are very bright, lots of space, the Salvatore Feragano cosmetics- perfect, Nespresso coffee, water in a room, by the pool. This hotel is really for those who can see, feel and taste! Great job to all the staff, best hotel ever! See you next year!
I'm a Honors Diamond member and I've never been welcomed in any hotel in such a perfect way. A couple of days before I was contacted by a Guest Relations Officer asking for details of my arrival along with the car details to organize my welcome. Once arrived at the property I was greeted at the door by the Guest Relations Manager who escorted me to my room without going through the check in desk. We did all the check in paperwork directly in the room. I received a fantastic upgrade to a Suite Sea view with balcony. Everything in the room was as per my pre arrival request along with some welcome canapés ready in the room. This is so far the best VIP treatment I received in any Waldorf Astoria property and one of the best WA I've ever been in my life.
We spent 4 days at the hotel on route to Africa to get some sunshine and relax. The hotel was just perfect - really looked after the kids. The pool area was particularly great and we were grateful for the pool chilling as it was very hot at the end of July. We ate in 3 different restaurants all were absolutely great - highly recomend
The hotel staff very nice and helpful. They had a kids club. Two big pools, one for kids and the other for adult. They had beach activity which we enjoyed. The hotel has many restaurant and the in room dining was perfect. The first impression the room didn't smell pleasantly, we wish if we bought with us scented candles to cover the odder. There were ants in the room. There were no any welcoming fruites or sweets .. etc upon arrival.
This hotel has made my holiday. I've had excellent service from the day I got out of the car to me reaching the airport I have no bad comments regarding this hotel and my stay at this hotel has been fantastic.
This hotel is excellent - appearance beautiful. Housekeeping - excellent, made a different towel animal everyday. Was always cleaning and room was spotless and modern. Pool - excellent, they bring round free bottled water, ice lols and fresh fruit constantly. Hotel quiet, however gets rowdy by the pool Friday and Saturday when the locals arrive! Overall lovely hotel but the service here is not the same as the Dubai one. Numerous times I paid for things at the restaurant including leaving a tip but when on check out get asked to pay again. Staff were quite rude about this. We also booked the golf and when getting there the club said we hadn't booked so wasn't as organised as we would have liked. No one to greet you on arrival either. Lovely hotel but if you're looking for service and more things to do stay in the Dubai one!
Upon check- in, there were a few issues with the rooms allocated to us, but the staff was quick to act on this and was very apologetic. The staff in this hotel are absolutely phenomenal, they are very friendly and you can see they have a passion for their jobs, especially; Mohan – Azure bar / pool attendant – who was always on hand to help and provide the drinks Suraj - Room attendant Amit- Manager of Peacock Valley Meghna, Arjay and Ismaile – Staff in Qasr al Bahr restaurant Indra – Chef in Qasr al Bahr Restaurant. Throughout our stay, the person who stood out the most was Akram - Qasr al Bahr Restaurant, who is so friendly and obviously has a great passion for his job and the hotel. The food in Qasr al Bahr is amazing, there is such a variety of veg and non-veg as well as food for different cultures. As we are vegetarian, we ordered some food, which was not available in the buffet. The chef Indra made food to our requirements and we thoroughly enjoyed it. This shows that they will take the time to make you happy. The pool area is very clean and a lovey place to relax with people always coming round to refill ice-cold water as well as fruit, towels and Ice-lollies throughout the day to cool you down. This is a big bonus in 46 degrees. The beach is very clean and again relaxing with a lifeguard constantly there to make you feel safe. The spa was a delight to use. Dee the masseuse was amazing. She went through everything with me and catered the massage to my requirements. I made some recommendations to Amit – manager at Peacock Valley and these were taken on board and some actions were clearly seen the next day, which was good to see. It is so good that feedback is welcomed and appreciated. This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in and is defiantly in my opinion the best in Ras al Khaima. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want a relaxing experience. This is undoubtedly a plus 5 star hotel matched by the first class level of service provided by all the staff. Having stayed in many hotels around the world this one stands out with the quality and level of service that is second to none with staff that are genuinely happy and would not hesitate to attend to any request to make your stay that extra special.
Easily the best hotel I've stayed in in Ras Al Khaimah. To be fair, I have only stayed in one hotel in this Emirate, but it will be hard to beat for quality, location and friendliness. Me and the Mrs and our 1-year-old needed a quick break, so we jumped in the car in Dubai and were in RAK in an hour. (DXB International to Waldorf = 45 mins) As you're driving North along the coast with the Arabian Gulf on your left you spot a rather impressive building in the distance - and soon realise via google maps, that's where you'll be staying. The hotel entrance is spectacular and after the valet chaps welcomed us, you're quickly whisked into the main lobby. Get your cameras ready! This was the first time to be at one of the Waldorf Astoria's Hotels and surely, it won't be the last. The hospitality everywhere you go and the service you receive from every staff member on the facility is outstanding. The check-in process was so smooth and quick although checking in on a busy holiday and at the unwanted hour for all hotels 2-3 pm. Astoria is meeting the expectations.
