Thank you for an amazing stay!! The Sea Change Villas are a magical place. The villas are perfect; the beach is breath-taking. Your hospitality has been a tremendous gift to us. We are truly grateful. We hope to be back soon.
We celebrated my husbands 60th at Sea Change Villas. It was a family celebration and the Executive villas were amazing. Had everything you could need for a self catering holiday plus ping pong for a rainy day. We then moved to an ocean view villa. Amazing! Perfect for a special holiday!
This is the first time in my experience of traveling that the photos of a place have corresponded exactly to reality. Walking through the door of our beachfront villa and seeing the lagoon *right there* outside the sliding doors is a image I won't forget in a hurry. The villa itself was very well appointed, clearly outfitted by someone who has traveled before. Every time we wanted to do something in this self-catering setup, such as cook eggs, make nice coffee, drink bubbly out of a proper glass, the tools were all there. There were even pegs for the washing line. The lagoon was 11 steps down from the deck and we made use of the snorkeling gear, reef shoes and canoes during our stay. We sat on the deck for hours, sat in bed looking at the view, and on the couch (carefully positioned to allow lounging while looking at the view). It was extremely quiet (except for the road, but even that wasn't that bad), with hardly any people coming past on the beach or in the lagoon outside. The preparation for our arrival by Steph and the team was excellent. We were staying over Christmas when many places were closed, and the bus wasn't running, so Steph organized a rental car, sent us menus for resorts open at Christmas and got us booked on a couple of activities. The transfer from the airport was also flawless. We appreciated being given the use of the villa for our whole last day as well. This place is amazing and we had a fantastic time. We most certainly will be back.
We just spent 16 unbelievable days at the fabulous Sea change Villas. It was our 40th wedding anniversary and the villa we had surpassed all of our expectations. From the champagne upon arrival at the airport, to the fantastic first view from our villa, we were in awe. It took our breath away. We would like to thank Bev, Stephanie, Michael and all the incredible staff at the Sea Change Villas. We felt like we were in a dream world. The villas are exquisite. The private pool was wonderful. If you want privacy, beautiful scenery, total relaxation, then this is the place for you. We truly cannot say enough about this hotel. Absolutely loved every minute and we were very sad to leave. We will definitely be returning in the near future.
Accomodation is exactly how you see in their website photos, nice and tidy. Unfortunately for us the service was poor. There was no conversation around what to do on the island, activities, must see, what the villas offered (kayaks, paddleboards, scooters, bikes etc) they were not accomodating to a guest that arrived to see us (he was the Groom to be and the reason we were even in Raro) and we requested room service to come back (as we were sleeping in one day, after all we are on holiday) and when we returned from our day activities our room was not serviced.
We visited Sea Change Villas 21-30 November 2017...... Had the most amazing villa with beach front view and our own swimming pool.....🌞 It was amazing.... to wake up by the sound and look of the ocean and the sunset is amazing.... We loved the kayak, paddle-boards and snorkelling gear that were included in the price....🙏 Snorkelling just outside the villa is amazing you see all kind of fish in different colours and shapes.... Stephanie and Beverly were very helpful to arrange tours around the island..... we can highly recommend the safari tour and the Aikutaki 1 day tour..... You have to see one foot island before you leave..... We highly recommend this place and hope to return one day......🙏 Jeanne & Michael, Denmark....
If you want space, privacy and relatxation this is the one! My sister and I stayed in Villa 8 - executive villas. Huge, with luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms. Very private, fantastic plunge pool and lovely view from the front deck. We used the raro bus, free restaurant transfers and a e- tuk tour to get around. If we had stayed longer than six nights we would have looked at hiring a car. Sea change villas organise everything right down to the last detail. Stephanie and Beverley are fantastic and make you feel like family. Can't wait to return!
We stayed for five nights recently and could'nt fault the facilities and service. Steph in reception was fantastic before our trip and during - always helpful and accommodating. Transfer from airport on arrival (at 1am) included champagne and a lei - nice touches. The next morning there was toast, cereal, eggs, spreads, wine, beer and milk all in the fridge - all much appreciated. The accomodation itself (Lagoon view villa), had truckloads of room, great furnishings and facilities. Nothing was missing and it was just really well appointed. Only thing I could think to add would be a small wireless speaker - I had no where to play Wham! 'Club Tropicana' - which is my favourite island holiday song and would of really added something special to the trip. Pool is neat - although it isnt heated, so if it's not a nice day, it's pretty cold. Didn't get the chance to go snorkelling out front due to weather so cant comment there - but looked nice. There's also a BBQ area with a good quality BBQ, free laundry and a driers. Few recommendations: - Stephanie organised our rental car and got us a great rate and they did pick up and drop off which was super easy. - Take advantage of the free transfers to restaurants - OTB was great and the transfer free. - Supermarket is close, but go to Bonds in town for alcohol. - Saltwater cafe is close, but Beluga or LBV are much better. - Eco tour sunset cocktail tour is great and a really good thing to do early on in your trip to find the hidden treasures (Castaway bar was neat).
You can't go wrong with these guys! Friendly, organised and accommodating, the team at sea change villas made our stay that much more enjoyable. The weather was somewhat chaotic but the amazing villa and experience of staying there certainly made up for it. The location is secluded, the beach is wonderful with good snorkelling to be found in the lagoon, with the one of the best snorkelling spots just a few minutes up the road at "the fruits of rarotonga". You'd be hard pressed to find better lodgings on the island.
We, a group of five, stayed at Sea Change in early October. This is our second stay at the Villas. We stayed in a family Villa, which was spacious, comfortable and spotless. The kitchen is well equipped, you can easily self cater, and the bathrooms, including the showers were huge and luxurious. We appreciated the shampoos and lotions that were lovely and made on the Island - we think it is a testament to the proprietors that they support local products. The pool was a real treat - we used it every day after swimming in the lagoon. The location is amazing - less than five minutes to the lagoon, which is a great place to snorkel, the variety and number of fish was as good as you can find on the Island. We had a beautiful view of the lagoon from the balcony and main bedroom. The Villas are close to great restaurants and a Wigmore's supermarket, which is very handy. The staff who serviced the rooms and look after the property were truly amazing - they are professional, always greet you with a warm smile and genuinely happy to assist in any way they can - a big thank you to Michael, Margarita and in fact all of these staff. Stephanie and Hayley at the front desk are gems - they make life easy, with handy tips and bookings. Beverley and Craig are awesome - they make you feel at home and are kind and thoughtful (as an example, they had booked a car for us so it was there on our arrival). Beverly was particularly generous in assisting and supporting with a personal issue that came up for one of us. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Villas. We will certainly be back. Carmela
