perfect accommodation, I would go back to the sea change in a heart beat. They thought of everything, we stayed in the lagoon view executive villa, spacious accommodation, private pool, games room great fun! they provided bikes to ride and paddle boards and kayaks. Would highly recommend, started off with a complementary wine in the the car, what a great start to our holiday. Only negative comment would be for the people going to stay in the down stairs bedroom they have to go upstairs to the bathroom, ok for children but older people a bit of more trouble, also no air conditioning downstairs so a little stuffy.
What an awesome place to stay. Great friendly welcome and service from Craig and Beverly and their team - nothing was too much trouble. We were in one of the rear villa's which are very peaceful and far enough from the road noise, yet close enough to the lagoon to make them very convenient. Our own private swimming pool which was always at the ideal temp to cool you off yet not too cold. Plenty of room in the Villas for whatever you might need. A great location, with awesome snorkelling straight out from Seachange, or a little to the left near 'Fruits of rarotanga'. And close enough to Muri beach and their night markets. Would highly recommend to anyone considering going to Rarotanga.
Our accommodation had everything you could hope for. Four poster bed dishlex dish washer cooking facilities and washing machine and drier -shared. Who would want to cook when there are so many amazing restaurants and fantastic seafood. We loved every minute of our time there six nights was too short and it would have perhaps been better to rent a car. We didn't see a travel agent before we left so didn't get any tips. Night flight from Sydney is very tiring only a few hours to sleep.
My husband and I visited the Cook Islands in May 2017 and loved our stay at the Sea Change Villas. It was perfect for us. Our villa overlooked the lagoon. At night it was the perfect location to see the stars and the milky way. We arrived early in the morning from LAX and Sea Change Villas was kind enough to provide us with a complimentary one day car rental so we could go around the island and get groceries, etc., before we checked-in the villa. The villa in itself contained everything we needed and was perfect for us. We would go back to Sea Change in a heart beat.
First of all, we picked Roratonga as a holiday destination beacause we needed some much needed RAnd R with little connection to home and with a laid back easy going lifestyle. We arrived on the early morning flight from Australia and were able to pick up our car organised by Sea Change Villas. We dropped by the Villas and we're made to feel very welcome by Stephanie, a local with a wealth of knowledge. She recommended things to do until our villa was ready for us. We returned after lunch and again we're greeted by Stephanie and the crew, Michael, Margherita and Lana. We were shown to our home for the next 6 nights. What a lovely start to the vacation, the villa was spotless and beautifully decorated. We had all we needed to make our stay very comfortable. Our courtyard was attractive with plunge pool, a outdoor draughts table, comfortable lounges and that was just outside. Inside was filled with the comforts of home with large sliding doors ideal for leaving open both day and night, with screens and beautiful netting over the four poster bed for any insects. (Which we never encountered) . We loved leaving the doors open at night for the flow through sea breezes, while still being able to use the air conditioner if needed. The shower was enormous with double shower heads, very nice after a day spent snorkeling in the lagoon. We spent many afternoons on the front deck reading, sipping wine and watching the waves crashing on the reef protecting the lagoon. Whilst the beach is open to all, most days we were the only ones there. The laid back lifestyle extended to the rest of the island. Local produce was excellent. We found our favourite restaurants and while some were very casual (sand and sunset heaven) you will have a wide choice of dining opportunities. We took up the opportunity to have a platter delivered to our Villa on our last night and we're not disappointed, the food was magnificent and struggled to finnish. We did have one unfortunate incident, but this was unrelated to Sea Change. But when we took our problem to Steph and Beverley, they dropped everything to help. And help they did with an immediate resolution. Thank you Beverley, Craig, Stephanie and all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable. We have recommended you to many friends in Australia and overseas. You simply can't do better than Sea Change Villas. We'll be back.
We had a marvellous week being spoilt by Beverly, Craig and the team.Anything we needed to know or to get done was not too much trouble. The villa had everything we could possibly need, the linen and towels (unusually) are really good quality and the four poster bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in barring my one at home! We had a lovely dinner platter delivered to our villa which was delicious and we were met at the airport with champagne, tropical fruit juice and a lei. I am hoping to return as soon as possible as the whole Island is unspoilt and charming but not for the type of person who likes the " all inclusive " hotel with waiters hovering to serve you. We loved spending our 25 th anniversary and thank everyone at Sea Changes for spoiling us.
We had a fantastic time at Sea Change. My wife and I spent 8 days there in March following a month long self driving tour of New Zealand. The adult only villa was exactly what the doctor ordered! We stayed in one of the lagoon view villas with a private pool. The Villa itself was spacious, clean, had a big walk in shower and was equipped with a well stocked kitchen. The fridge even included breakfast items and a few beer and a bottle of wine to get us started and the communal BBQ was appreciated. We split time between the beach and the pool. The beach offered excellent snorkeling, all within the safe confines of the outer coral reef, but we also used the private pool during those times when the tide was out or we just wanted privacy. Craig, Stephanie and their staff were helpful and accommodating. We took their suggestions and visited the Highland Paradise Dinner and Show, the Punanga Nui Market the Rarotonga Brewery and a local Church Service. We would especially like to thank Stephanie for convincing us to visit Aitutaki which was simply stunning. We have no qualms recommending Sea Change to anyone in search of a slice of Polynesian paradise.
Sea change was lovely, very peaceful. Push bikes available if you wish to ride to the local shops. Has a pool in your villa, is not heated so was cold when I went. Beach front villa was pretty. The internet and TV barely worked, though this is most of the country
Thank you, Stephanie and crew, for providing us with a lovely break from the cold and hectic routine of our lives back home. Our stay in one of the lagoon-view villas was idyllic. The spacious rooms, fully stocked kitchen, lovely room decor, private pool and deck, and balcony overlooking the lagoon provided a restful haven to return to after our beach and island explorations. The hotel has snorkeling equipment, kayaks, paddle boards, and bikes for guests to use free of charge. The beach and lagoon were just a short walk across the street from our villa. Stephanie was very helpful in answering any of our questions. She provided assistance in booking our excursions and restaurant reservations, and even made an appointment for us at the local police station for our scooter license exam. Some highlights of our trip were: Day trip to Aitutaki, Pa's Cross Island Trek, Te Vara Nui Island Night, and the freedom of zipping around the island on our scooter. I would suggest booking a late checkout, if possible. We had to leave our villa at 11 am, and spent 13 hours killing time on the island before our midnight flight. We should have booked an extra day to avoid that situation. It made for a very long trip home. We'd definitely consider a return trip to Rarotonga and would choose to repeat our stay at the Sea Change Villas.
Further to my misplaced review last time. Sea Change is a marvellous and delightful place to stay. The villa was amazing, premier views, coral reef waves crash in the distance while gentle waves lap only metres from your villa. Great facilities and a private pool to cool off in. Relax in the privacy of your own villa and deck areas. We had dining only a short distance away (scooter or transfer free of charge). Snorkelling was a great start to the holiday. Local botanic gardens are only a short walk away and its much quieter than the Muri area , but close enough to get to all amenities. Staff were friendly and offered good information. Would definitely recommend it , especially if you have a kite sailing fetish, plenty of warm winds here.
