Just renovated and across the road from Rarotonga’s top snorkeling spot “fruits of Rarotonga” (a marine reserve) is Paere House. An ideal home for all things beachy.

Fruits of Rarotonga boast pristine waters, a deep lagoon (ideal for swimming at all tides) and lots of white sand. Here is also a bus stop there for getting to and fro.

The house is a very roomy high ceilinged two bedroom home and has a excellent covered veranda for outside relaxing and dining. All rooms have ceiling fans. The kitchen is open plan and blends into the living area. Off the living area are the two bedrooms.The house is fully screened to keep the mozzies at bay.

The large front yard is ideal for kids of all ages as is the lagoon across the road. Paere is ideal for a family needing to play in the sun and sea.

Quick getaway in paradise

Great little batch style house. Has everything you need, and fantastic location with easy access to the beach across the road for snorkelling/swimming, shops are just a quick 5 min drive, and then Charlies bar and restaurant is a 10min stroll ! Would definitely stay here again.

Paradise at Paere

We loved everything about our stay at Paere House. It’s a complete home away from home, with many well-thought-out touches to make your stay on Rarotonga easier. A little slice of Heaven

Our stay at Paere House was nothing short of superb. The location is terrific - 20 minutes away from the airport. 5 minutes from Muri. 2 from Charlies. 10 from Wigmores. It's across the street from one of the best snorkeling spots on the Island. The home is clean, tidy and well appointed. The fans keep the home wonderfully cool. The amenities are everything you need to cook your own meals, clean your own clothes and lie out in the sun after a day of swimming. There are ants, but there are ants everywhere in Raro. You learn to clean your dishes right away and keep your food in the fridge. Eddie, the property manager was terrific with his instructions and responsive to all of our questions. This was our second stay at one of Eddie's properties and I can guarantee that our third will be with him as well. Deal with confidence!

Beautiful Raro

The property on the inside was clean and comfortable and well equipped, however the outside of the property was a bit tired and run down, just needed a lick of paint and the railings to be fixed - which wasn’t well represented in the photos. The hotspot for the internet didn’t work during our stay so you are best to purchase a SIM at the airport if you need connection to the outside world. Eddie was very easy to deal with and very helpful. We found there wasn’t any furniture for relaxing outside, Eddie provided some sun loungers for us which were much appreciated, enabling us to relax on the huge lawn. We loved the location which was directly across the road from the beach. It was great to be able to take advantage of the snorkelling. Lots of dogs and chooks around which are quite noisy at night - all very friendly though, although we did have a couple of odd shoes go missing, which we could only assume were pinched by one of the dogs, so keep your shoes inside if staying. Overall an enjoyable stay.

Great house and location

This is a comfortable and well set up house where we enjoyed daily snorkeling at the beach across the road, a great variety of colourful fish every time. Home for a coffee ( plunger supplied), walk to lunch at various cafes within 15 mins walk. Nice walking up the side roads to the quiet backroad. Everything you need to cook an evening meal. Fans to keep you cool, and comfortable beds. A good nights sleep only disturbed by noisy neighbours ( rental property next door so you may be luckier) ,barking dogs, and enthusiastic roosters.( that's the same everywhere in Rarotonga; don't go to Raratonga if you don't like dogs). Highly recommended.

Perfect place to stay in Raro!

We loved staying in Paere House, it's location is perfect and the house is comfortable and perfect for long or short stays. Comfy bed, great kitchen and bathroom, fans and screens on all the windows and doors, spacious and quiet. It's close to Charlie's and Muri is only a few minutes drive away. But even better is the ability to walk across the road and have a great swimming and snorkelling spot right there. We will be back for sure!

Perfect little house for our family

This is a lovely tidy open plan little house, perfect for a family of four. It is across the road from the best snorkelling spot. When facing the water walk about 100 metres to the right, snorkel out and you will see the most amazing schools of fish in your life. We highly recommend hiring a car when on the island so you can visit all the beaches and eating places with ease. Hire a kayak from adventure Cook Islands, they deliver to your house, straight out from the batch is where Captain Tuma Lagoon Cruise stops. You can kayak or snorkel to the spot in minutes. Just so you are aware the main road is in front of the house but first you have a lovely large lawn with coconut trees and tropical plants. You only really hear the traffic early on Saturday night but mostly you listen to the sound of the waves on the reef. There are plastic containers to use, tea, coffee, great shower, amazing washing machine. Amazing value for money. View of the sea from your room and from the lounge and deck. You will love your little home.

Rarotongan adventure

What a spot to stay, right across the road from some of the best snorkelling on the island! Great home, comfortable and cool. Well stocked with all the essentials for a comfortable stay (linen, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, good fridge, good shower, insect covers on all windows, TV, washing machine, bar-b-que). With the good bus service food shopping is easy to accomplish for a great independent stay. Muri night market is comfortable walking distance too. Good communication with home manager. For a family or group of friends looking for a great home in a top location for an independent holiday it would be hard to beat this place. I would definately recommend it and would be happy to come back!
