Poor customer service not staying at property but rang to book table for 10 in Silver Sands for my nieces 16 birthday was informed by the rude and sullen man on the phone that this is a no kids hotel and therefore a no kids Restaurant.Really come of of the stone age.Took my business elsewhere.
For a number of years now, we made it a custom to visit the Silver Sand Restaurant at the Muri Beach Club Hotel. As we remembered the delicious food they served in past years. A friendly hostess led us to our reserved seat. The Restaurant was not full at the time, and we also come early to enjoy the magnificent Beach front. The service was as we expected, friendly and fast, the food was again delicious.. We both ordered the tenderloin Medallion beef, with knockies and a delicious gravy. To our surprise however, the food-portion were smaller than in previous years, much to our surprise as we were hungry, anyway, we enjoyed a good glass of wine and the friendly service as well as the ambience. But as it happens so often, the prizes went up as well! But we enjoyed it anyway, as we love the atmosphere and the ambience. We hope to see you all next year again.
We went to rarotonga over Christmas 2017 and had a ball. The Muri Beach Club Hotel is fantastic. It is personal and intimate and yet very stylish. The personnel was wonderful and very helpful. The Christmas Lunch, Polynesian Night and Rib & Prawn night was one of the highlights of our stay. The location is fantastic with the lagoon at your doorstel and the swimming pool when you dont feel like salt water makes it a true island holiday. We had a deluxe oceanfront room and were right on the beach. The night market and other restaurants are within 10 min walk away from the hotel. It is the small and little things that makes the difference and this hotel's management and staff make sure you are well looked after. We will be back again and again...
What a gem of a hotel, excellent staff, awesome service and lovely house cocktails, Brian at the front desk well...couldn’t meet a nicer bloke, he moved heaven and earth to make sure my wife an I were comfortable and relaxed, would highly recommend and without a doubt stay here again when we return
There is so much I could write about the Muri Beach Club Hotel, time available to me dictates that this brief report will have to summarise the main aspects. The two most outstanding features of this hotel are the location and the staff. The location is superb, fronting out onto the beach at Muri with the lagoon just a short walk of fifteen seconds across the hot sand. The staff were some of the friendliest staff I have had the pleasure to meet. Terina was a gem, helping us to organise a very special day. Rowena was always present to great us to breakfast with an infectious smile that would brighten everyone's day. The chef greeted us with a friendly Kia orana every time we passed. Even the house cleaners seemed to fall over themselves to be friendly and helpful. The room that we occupied was outstanding with high standard fixtures and fittings. The facilities, canoes, paddle boards snorkelling equipment were all in good condition and effective. We only ate once at the hotel (just because there are so many places to see an visit) and the food was excellent. The week we stayed was about three weeks before Christmas - New Year and we understand that this is a very quiet week for the resort (probably the whole Island). The one thing I would snag the hotel on was the closing of the hotel bar some evenings as early as 20.30pm. Other nights we drank in the bar till almost 22.00pm but on a couple of nights we missed out on account of eating at other venues. My suspicion is that this would not be a problem with a few more guests kicking around the place but we visited at a very quiet time. This is an adult only resort which suited us fine. The beach in front of the hotel us public and often visited by school children which was fine as far as we were concerned. If you are looking for enclosed exclusivity right down to the waters edge Muri - the whole resort and not just Muri Beach Club Hotel, might not be quite what you are looking for. For my part I read the fact that the beach is so popular as a sound endorsement of a fabulous location.
Stayed for 6 nights. Booked via Trip Advisor. Only booked a basic garden room but got upgraded to beachfront with a balcony. It was lovely looking over the lagoon. First day the room was covered in fresh red hibiscus blossoms. Maybe I got upgraded because I wanted a quiet room. The other rooms are next to the Cultural Show next door which happens some nights but is over by 9pm. Sea view is only one to have. Great that it is adults only, however all beaches are public and it is opposite the most popular sandy part so the public and kids were right out front. Lovely big pool and interior decor. The managers cocktail party on Tuesday nights was great. Nibbles and drinks enough so you didn't need anything else that night. Breakfast was excellent. Restaurant seemed expensive but evening meal was very good. Evening food market was 5min walk down road 4 days a week. Disappointed with lack of coral gardens in the lagoon. Hoped to snorkel more.
We stayed for three nights at Muri Beach Club before returning to Canada from the Rarotonga and Aitutaki vacations. This is a relatively small boutique hotel with excellent clean rooms, spacious bathrooms and comfortable beds. Very friendly staff, good food, relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel location is superb, by far the Muri beach is the best on the island – we enjoyed a lot swimming and snorkeling in the lagoon. Many thanks to Liana for accommodating us at a short notice and to everyone there for making our stay full of the wonderful memories.
Kia Orana, This was our second stay at Muri Beach Club (and our third trip to the Cook Islands) and it was better than the first time at this property 4 Year’s ago. We had a beachfront room which was excellent and this will definitely be our room type next time we stay. Very friendly staff and the added benefit of being an adult only hotel. We arrived very early and the team made a great effort to get us into our room as quickly as possible. Pool was great, as was the beach and the food. The car we rented was a bit knocked around, but it did the job. Would definitely recommend this hotel on Rarotonga. Meitaki to all staff at Muri Beach Club Hotel.
Well appointed resort in a highly convenient location. The adjacent lagoon is the best swimming venue on the island with some really good restaurant, markets and services within close proximity. The added benefit is this is an over 18s resort, but be aware that the restaurant is open to the public. The staff are friendly and professional.
