25/9/17 - 2/10/17 We have visited Rarotonga several times and The Little Polynesian was by far the best accommodation (beach front) we have stayed at, the room was exceptionally clean, the housekeeping staff very friendly and it was great having the restaurant and bar facilities right there. The restaurant was one of the best we have eaten at on the Island and the staff, Juita, Mere and Marilyn were amazing, like we were friends they made us feel right at home, we ate at other various restaurants ie Nautilus which was lovely but unfortunately the Tamerind house was not a happy experience, Vaima has also slipped in service & food quality unfortunately. We were sad to leave the island, however we are coming back in March 2018 and look forward to seeing these friendly faces again!! Thanks you so much.

This exceptional resort entirely lived up to its excellent reputation. We selected it for a special retirement holiday and were delighted with what this magical place showcases. The ocean appointed villas offer and delivered excellence in all aspects. The direct connection to the tropical vistas of the lagoon is instantly apparent when you look out from your luxurious and extremely well appointed private accommodation. The staff are an extremely professional and carefully managed team. The service which was of a high quality was attentive, friendly and respectful. The food was tropical ly inspired, imaginative and of a very high standard, skillfully prepared and served. The resort is well positioned to offer interested guests a wide variety of island attractions and entertainment and the staff enthusiastically offer help to organize and assist the grateful punter. All in all a complete luxury holiday experience warmly recommended. You arrive as guests and leave as Whanau (family). Most satisfied New Zealanders Clive and Denice Bartleet

This resort lives up to its reputation and the staff make it all the more worthwhile. They are friendly, helpful, efficient and professional. Special mention must be made of Mere and Juaita, who made two rainy days very pleasant. The restaurant serves a great meal. We stayed here after three days at Sanctuary Rarotonga. We could feel the difference and the friendly atmosphere the minute we walked in.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Little Polynesian. Rarotonga was the first part of our week stay in the Cook Islands - 4 nights in Rarotonga and 3 nights in Aitutaki. Little Polynesian arranged our airport transfers - we arrived on a late Friday night flight from NZ. The hotel was only about a 15-20 min drive from the airport. We had Beachfront Bungalow with a breathtaking view. The rooms were beautiful, spacious and clean. The private deck was an added touch as well as the outdoor shower & bath. The staff was warm and welcoming. The continental breakfast was good but not enough so we ordered from the menu. We had 2 great dinners at the hotel restaurant - one night they cooked the fish we caught that day! It was delicious! All in all we really enjoyed our stay at Little Polynesian and would highly recommend it!

We returned this week from 5 days at the beautiful Little Polynesia Resort . Everything during our stay exceeded our expectations - the resort , the beach and sea , the weather and Rarotonga. Ltlle Polynesia is located on a gorgeous part of the Raro coast , gleaming white sands , clear blue water and slightly more protected from the prevailing winds than say Muri Beach. We had a beachfront bure which was very nicely appointed , great outdoor shower ! , and best of all only about 20 steps from the blue sea . The bure has everything you would need , great to have a Nespresso machine in the room , plus a really good balcony for relaxing if you want a break from the sand. Enjoyed kayaking , paddleboarding, snorkeling and swimming every day. Nice variety of fish just off the beach , not the huge schools of fish you see in say Fiji but plenty to see. A big thank you to the lovely staff who looked after us during our stay - especially Leilani with her gorgeous big smile every day and Juita for his friendly bar service - the frozen Margaritas were great! The food in the restaurant was very good though it would be nice to see the daily specials actually change as they were the same throughout our stay. We tryed Vaima restaurant on our last night and aside from the sunset views would not really recommend , should have stayed at the resort. Would highly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone wanting a relaxed quiet break away , beachfront bures definitely the best. We will return !!

We spent 5 days at Little Poly in a beachfront bungalow and absolutely loved it. The bed is extremely comfortable, great bathroom with double shower plus an outdoor shower. Superb fresh food in the restaurant, great menu choices and fantastic wait staff (thank you Suzi, Mere, Lailani and Marilyn!). The views from the restaurant and your room make you feel as if you have just stepped into paradise. No matter what the weather, the view from your bungalow is beautiful. Just a few steps on the sand and you are in the aqua water - good snorkelling and swimming. All the staff here are wonderful - from the helpful reception staff to the housekeeping and groundskeepers - they make you feel truly welcome. Your privacy is respected and the room servicing is efficient and very discreet. We would highly recommend this wonderful resort.

Small boutique hotel, 14 rooms, quiet and relaxing, no children policy. Staff are great, restaurant is perfect. There’s a few eateries close by but you can get on the bus, $5 NZD flat fare, which for our group of four meant $40 return even for short trips. Or hire a car, or get scooters, you can get a licence from the Police station. Memo: suggest a courtesy car perhaps up to 5 Klm trips. Wi-Fi is $30 for 1 GB, it’s too limited and why pay anything with the high room cost? Aside from that it’s the place to be especially for peace and quiet with a near empty beach metres away.

The room was serviced twice daily, we never had a problem with security though there is a safe in the room if required. Staff are always polite, courteous and helpful with any request. Generous sized rooms with very comfy furniture and rooms are kept clean and tidy. A lovely restaurant with generous portions of tasty meals. Fresh fruit with breakfast was a lovely treat. The pool and views are amazing as is the white sand and clean water. The resort was full at all times, if you are looking for quiet time with your partner this is the place to be. A must for couples who want to be away from the crowds. Enjoy :)

We stayed at Little Poly for our honeymoon. It was fantastic, the people were lovely and helpful, it was clean and the views were breathtaking. Food at their restaurant was to die for. Wonderful, personalised service and a very clean and tidy resort. Would highly recommend. We loved every minute of it.

The Little Polynesian is an amazing resort hotel. It's very quiet and quite small- only 14 bungalow style rooms. The staff are friendly, helpful and expert. Our room was literally steps away from the beach, pool and dining. We enjoyed our private courtyard deck with two lounges, the modern bath, evening turn down service and the comfortable bed. The restaurant is small but full service- breakfast lunch, and dinner. In our experience its the best on the island. The menu is excellent, well thought out and expertly prepared. Dining is located around the infinity pool which overlooks the spectacular white sand beach and extensive lagoon. Beach amenities include snorkeling gear, kayaks, paddle boards, towels, hammocks & beach lounges. You can easily spend the day here. The bar is open all day as well and can deliver just about anything you want- an icy bottle of Matutu lager, from the local craft brewery, a chilled rose from New Zealand or a nicely made martini before dinner. Little Poly, as it's known locally, is part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World group and lives up to it. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked it again for another visit next month.
