The staff were very friendly, attentive and lovely to talk to, helpful. The rooms were relatively clean and as we were there during Easter holiday so weren't cleaned as frequently as we'd have liked but otherwise not much complaint. There's lots of ants, personally they didn't bother me too much but may annoy some people - don't leave anything out in the open, they love ANYTHING. The location was good if you like snorkeling - was a bit limited on choices of dining but the snorkeling at Aro'a beach (just across the road from the villas) was the best, we saw the biggest variety of marine life, and it was better than the famous black rocks and fruits of Raro IMHO - would recommend snorkeling here during high tide, low tide was a bit too shallow and very rocky. Apart from the extremely noisy roosters (too many to count) that decided to call anytime of the night (1am, 5am, whenever they felt like, sometimes a group all at once) which made sleeping very difficult, our biggest disappointment was the breakfast. The breakfast choices were very limited, all cold (apart from tea/coffee), 5 types of cereal, 3 types of toast, 1 juice, 1 milk. As for fruits, we had coconut roughs, oranges and pawpaw, a 4th fresh fruit if lucky, and 2 choices of tinned fruits, with yoghurt, and that was all we had. I was hoping for the price we paid we would get a few more interesting tropical fruits, maybe croissant or danishes (actually we expected some eggs, tomatoes and potatoes in the mix)

The place itself has a nice garden like setting. The whole atmosphere however is rather that of a large camping ground than a hotel. Price wise the place is in a range where it competes with the resorts on the island without coming close. The real problem is the service quality and most of all the service attitude of the staff. The so called room service comes if you are lucky early morning, stands before your door without a word. As we asked them politely if they could come back later, they answered "I give you 10 minutes". During our stay of one week the room was never made correctly, the bath towels where smelly even if they claimed to have them replaced. Breakfast staff is equally not interested in serving the guests. No good morning greeting, no service at tables, instead you get bored looking away. Just to make the impression complete, they lock the door to de breakfast area at the minute of breakfast time end from the inside. Everywhere in the hotel the staff gave us the feeling of not being welcome, with one exception of the receptionist which is very helpful and caring when it comes to reservations and advice of things to do. However even there being polite to guests seems to be rather the exception.

Our return visit to Lagoon Breeze Villas was perfect in every way. It definitely was a holiday in paradise. The units are clean, the grounds are beautiful and the staff are amazing. From the start of the day with an Island breakfast to evening Happy Hour each day was perfect. All the staff from Reception to Gardeners helped to create our wonderful holiday. The beach is great for snorkelling or just sitting and reading a book.

My husband and I booked Lagoon Breeze Villas for 8 days. When you book only with online information you never quite know until you get there if it's everything you hoped it would be. It was perfect! They have the friendliest staff you could ever hope to meet. They all make a point of talking to you and making sure you're happy. From the desk staff (Naomi, you're awesome!), to the cleaning staff, the breakfast and happy hour staff, to security. They go out of their way to help. The room was wonderful, bigger than we expected. We booked a one bedroom with a queen bed, with two twin beds in the sitting room, a full kitchen and large bathroom. It had lots of room! Unfortunately the air conditioner is only in the bedroom but was not and issue for us since there were just the two of us. We shut it off if we were not in the villa anyway. Mostly just used it at night. The snorkeling was just a walk across the street. And the coral and fish very plentiful! They provided snorkel equipment (although we did have our own), water shoes, kayaks, children's water toys for the pool, and I'm sure there are things that I am forgetting. You might want to make sure you have earplugs as the whole island is full of chickens and roosters! It's part of the charm but earplugs did help. I would highly recommend this place and I will hopefully make it back again one day!

We have to thank the Angels that make up the Staff at Lagoon Breeze, they along with this property surpasses it's 4 1/2 Star Rating every day, breakfasts are always extensive & top quality, We have just completed 6 Weeks of being treated like Family each and every day, If you are to add Roratonga to you "Bucket List" this should be your place of residence

This place was perfect for us in more ways than one. First of all whatever they are paying Vicki and Naomi they should double it. I have not had better service than they provided from anywhere in the world. The location was good, the houses where clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the grounds where immaculate. I would definitely stay here again.

What an amazing, family friendly place! We took advantage of the playground, the trampoline, the kiddie pool and the child size snorkel gear. We had 13 in our party from great grandparents down to a 2 year old so we filled up 3 villas. The staff at Lagoon Breeze (Vicki and Naomi) are so friendly and accommodating. We never felt like our requests or questions were a bother but rather that they were happy to help in any way they could. The are both extremely knowledgable about the activities and events on the island and helped book us as a large group for the Highland Paradise show and had great advice about the cross island hike. Needless to say, even though we were a handful- the maids were also very kind and understanding. They all really want you to love and appreciate their island paradise. Loved the fresh breakfast in the morning. Loved the open decks for visiting. Loved the pool to cool off in. Happy to have a washer and dryer on site plus the lines for wet swim suits. Kitchens had plenty of utensils/supplies. Used the kayaks multiple times. The lovely beach/lagoon is conveniently, just across the street. There is an incredible marine reserve a 5 minute walk down the beach/road (across from the Dive Center) that has the best snorkeling on the island. I am probably leaving off something that we appreciated but needless to say, staying here made even rainy days great.

With many choices and so far from home ...we were very happy with our choice of lagoon breeze ...it is obvious that the staff take pride in what they do...from the gardeners who kept this place beautiful and immaculate...to the reception with Vicky providing us with very good advice from snorkeling locations to local restaurant to booking tours ...we also really appreciated the friendly Ani who kept our room clean and in perfect order with a big smile everyday ...this place was quaint and quiet ....the beach across the street provided great snorkeling once we figured out that the laggon breeze provided us with water shoes and snorkeling equipment ... Thank you for such a beautiful affordable clean friendly place ....

Very quiet and well maintained property. Loved the roosters and chickens mixed in with the landscaping..great pool to relax in after walking across the street to beach...great staff to guide you to various places..scooter and car rental down the street..takeaways and scuba shop too..we had one bedroom villa which was more than we needed.great breakfast served 8-9:30 and coffee was out by 7:30.

I can’t say enough good thing about my stay at Lagoon Breeze Villas. From the moment I arrived I felt welcomed and well-taken care of. The grounds are gorgeous. The villas are immaculate. The beach is a 2-minute walk across the road. The property is perfectly situated halfway between “town” and Muri. I can’t wait to stay here on my next trip to Rarotonga.
