What a great property! Staff are friendly and helpful, setting is perfect (for us). Top it off with a beautiful beach, garden area and the Shipwreck Bar on-site, what else could you wish for. The room we had was great. We really had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. Thanks to Stephanie, Anna and everyone else who made our stay welcoming and so very enjoyable.
Loved our stay here, grounds were very well kept and staff had a great level of energy and unique character. The shipwreck bar is the best on the island with stunning sunsets. Some of the best snorkeling we found on the island.
Not only were our apartments amazing but the staff were an absolute laugh. Everytime we left from breakfast we would either be laughing or amazed. The views are epic and the beach is actually the best on the island for snorkelling and views. They also have the cutest dog in the world.... dexter!!!!!! By now the owners probably know who I am by talking about Dexter haha. Sadly he only used me for my breakfast muffin but thats ok because he's the cutest dog ever! But yeah! totally recommend this place... spacious, clean, tidy, great views, great people and if you ever need anything the staff will help you help in a heartbeat!
Historic review. I stayed here early last year and thought it was time to do a trip advisor. I've actually been here 5 times in the past, mostly under the stewardship of Jim and Jan. The Aroa is a small resort with an awesome beach side bar which serves large drinks and excellent food. The resort is sunset facing so you will get the best views of the sun sinking into the sea in the evenings. Tip: contact the Aroa directly for pricing and booking, you'll get a better price than from the booking sites.
Thank you for an unforgettable holiday. Just what we needed. It was like returning home all the staff remembered us from our previous visit. Very sad to leave but we will be back again. Highly recommend for a friendly relaxing holiday. A++++++. Helen and Bob Taylor.
A very standard little inn by the beach with quirky expat owners. A bit of a hippie vibe, not everything super clean, not everything makes a ton of sense, but overall a pleasant stay. Best were the local employees who were all fabulous!
Steve and Geraldine were lovely hosts and the staff were great. I really didn’t want to come home. Sit at the Shipwreck bar and watch the 🌅 and listen to the music or take advantage of Steve’s recommendations for good local restaurants. We’ll be back.
Rarotonga is simply paradise, and the management and staff at Aro’a beachside inn made the trip of a lifetime even better. The owners, Steve and Geraldine, couldn’t have made us feel any more welcome or well looked after. We’ve travelled quite extensively, and I can honestly say, this is now our favourite place on earth. Whether you want to chill out on a hammock, gazing out at the best sunset on the whole island, or get more involved and sample the great food and amazing cocktails, while singing along to the awesome live music, you’ll just love Aro’a. S and G are the hosts with the most, and their team of hand picked staff are just lovely. Paradise in paradise. Five stars 😊😊
What a great time we had! The staff was incredible, friendly, helpful and fun. We will be back hopefully again and again. Warm water, soft sand, quiet and peaceful everything we wanted from our trip to the Cooks.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aroa's beachside inn.Given welcome cocktail and an orientation of Rarotonga from the Manager Steve which was helpful and a nice touch. The staff were friendly, attentive and happy in there jobs. Thank you Ana!! for the palace burger tip!! The location is not far from town and there is a bus stop out. The beach was has nice white sand with very clear water and plenty tropical fish to be seen even knee deep. We made use of the free kayak and snorkling equipment all in good condition. Despite being wild wet and windy at times we made good use of the beach and had several half sunny days. The cocktails in the evening were spot on with delicious home made Tapas. We enjoyed some wonderful sunsets at the bar.. Our beach front room was average, we found it a bit dark perhaps needed brighter bulbs. Look forward to the renavation plans that Steve talked about. Very good fans in the room and breeze to keep cool. Would have liked a clothes horse to dry our clothing The resort was quiet during our stay, but actually enjoyed a bit of peace and quiet. We would definately return here.. We left Aroa to stay at another hotel for 6 nights and was a big let down. so thank you Aro'a for a lovely time in Rarotonga!!
