You couldn’t ask for a more scenic location for this hotel…mountains literally just outside your windows! And with the lupines in full bloom…it was breathtaking! The hot tub out back was a great way to unwind at night and breakfast had a wide variety of food offered…great start to the day!

Great stay but there was another guest checking in at the same time and he was not able to get the key to his room and had to go make last-minute plans to stay elsewhere, which was very nerve-wracking because he could not get in touch with the host

Cozy warm log building lives up to its name. The breakfast was very good, with staff on site in morning. Quiet location close to, but a bit off the highway. Would definitely stay here again.

Checking in is difficult and the property manager doesn’t always answer the phone. When she did she was rude. Only staff that is there is the breakfast crew and housekeeping gives clean towels daily Very cute place, no reception on the TV, hot tub has no cover and gets dirty easily and no jets. The location on the south coast is good

Was not expecting this to be an unstaffed “hotel” if that’s what you want to call it. There is no staff onsite, you get a code the day of arrival emailed to you (better hope you have reception) that allows you to open a key lock. Then you have to figure out where your room is in what seems to be a house converted into numerous rooms. It is more Air BnB/VRBO than it is a hotel. Very confusing

Convenient location but check-in was a problem. They send you a code to open the box to get your key just the day before check-in; but they only send it to your email (no text). And if you can't get it (no internet, went to spam, no access to email during trip) then you are out of luck. The phone numbers they provide and the one posted on the building don't work - no one answers. At least 4 other guests had similar problems the day we checked-in. The breakfast was good though, and they do have a nice hot-tub.

The room we were assigned to is NOT a hotel room. It's an attic. Its roof is so low that no one could stand up without bumping their head against the roof. It is extremely dangerous. It's illegal to make it a hotel room. No staff was available when we arrived with self-check-in. No one picked up the phone or responded to my Expedia messages.

The hotel has a lot of character. Magnificent front foor. Beautiful, picturesque location. Serves delicious hot breakfast. The rooms were clean and warm with comfy beds. We didn't receive the email with check in instructions, but luckily there was a member of staff present, who helped us out.

Check in procedure instructions were a mixed bag. Was told to call to get codes, but no one answered, and codes to enter had been sent earlier. Also, nowhere on website does it say that breakfast is included! That's great, but we had already prepared for no on-site breakfast (since it is advertised as a no-staff hotel).
