Villa Betty

This vacation home nestled in the Sicilian countryside, is located just a few kilometers from the center of Ragusa. The house is surrounded by a garden plot of about 4500 m2, planted with native trees and flowers and in which there is a pool, not embedded in the ground, ideal for relaxing and refreshing on hot summer days. For the smaller guests there is a play area with slide and swing and behind the villa there is an olive grove. The city of Ragusa is about 8 km away, so you really shouldn't miss visiting its world famous Ragusa Ibla district, which is one of Sicily's UNESCO World Heritage Sites. For those who prefer the sea: the sandy beaches of the so-called Iblea coast are 10 km away and at 12 km is the town of Marina di Ragusa, called "the pearl of the Iblei", di rich in pubs, bars and restaurants where you can taste the excellent fish and meat dishes of the region. If you plan to explore the southeastern part of Sicily, Catania and Syracuse are within 100 km, while Noto Caltagirone and the Vendicari Nature Reserve are about 50 km away and Modica, Comiso, Scicli and Pozzallo are all within 20 km.

Excellent property

Only one item to be aware of, the charge for electricity will be at least €150 per week. I assume that this was because the filtration on the swimming pool was running perhaps 18 hours a day. We visited in mid-September and only used the air conditioning for a couple of hours a day for less than half of our stay, so that wasn’t the issue. Not a complaint, the property is outstanding value for money, just something to factor in.
