I had come here as my son was getting married locally. I wanted somewhere out of the city with parking, and somewhere to relax. I got all of those things, but so much more! The staff are amazingly helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The lack of on site restaurant is no issue as the link they have and delivery from a local restaurant can’t be faulted. The food I had was fantastic, delivered hot, and was really reasonably priced. The breakfast was amazing, huge choice, and sometime difficult to decide as all of it looked amazing. I stayed 5 nights, but would have loved to stay longer. If I ever can me back to the area, I will definitely stay here again.
We spent 2 days in the hotel and had despite very bad weather a nice stay. The rooms are spacious and have heating (very very important in February). The staff was very helpful with all questions and demands. We also enjoyed the international breakfast that also included cheese, fruit and eggs which is uncommon in Italy.
We book for a couple of nights on our tour of Sicily, the hotel was far away from Ragusa. As a result you definitely need a car to get anywhere. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. They offered a food delivery service from a local pizzeria which good value but other food options required driving. If you want to get away from the crowds this is a good place to stay (with free parking), if you want to be nearer everything then stay in Ragusa. You are also about 20 minutes from Ragusa marina which was a nice beach to visit and had some nice food options.
Only one word - “fantastic”. Comfort, facilities, service, breakfast- everything was great. Very helpful personal. Close to Comiso airport. And for us was important late check-in. Because of november we didn`t use the pool but there was beautiful garden with Italian herbs. To get there you need a car.
I selected a normal room staying three nights here. I paid 63 Euro per night for B&B. The room is big and clean. The bed and pillow are both very comfortable for me. During the whole 14 days of trip in Sicily, this hotel was the one with the best sleep quality! All the staffs there are extremely friendly and helpful. The only downside for me is security. The property is basically opened and no gate to block outsiders to come inside the hotel public area. Anybody is able to access to the parking easily without any checking. One night I heard dog barking heavily during the midnight. I was so worried about my car that I had to get up to check it. Nevertheless, given the price I paid with the overall value I got, I would still give 5 stars to this hotel and certainly recommend when you visit Ragusa.
This resort is close to Ragusa in the way to Monica, Scicle, etc. It is an oasis of peace, with excellent breakfast, plenty of parking spaces, as great service provided by their staff. Noemi, Giuse and Valentina are three angels who will make sure you have a wonderful stay. Carla and Saul
My wife and I stayed for a few days in June as part of a week away in Sicily. We choose Artemisia Resort based on the excellent reviews, and as we were looking to enjoy a quiet relaxing last holiday as a couple before we have our baby. It's a lovely tranquil resort a short drive (I'd strongly recommend a car as it's off the main road) away from Ragusa. There is not much to walk to in the local area - no bars or shops that we could find - but we knew that when we booked. The swimming pool area is spacious and there were plenty of sunbeds and parasols to use. The resort overlooks the surrounding countryside, so it feels bigger than it is. We upgraded to the apartment, which was in a separate building and had a mezzanine area for the bedroom and a pretty large kitchen/diner/lounge area. I thought it was excellent value for money (although suspect that may be in part due to being in Southern Sicily). Breakfast was continental with plenty of choice, and some lovely cakes! Whilst there were a couple of kids around, most of the people there seemed to be couples and this meant the resort was quite quiet - exactly what we wanted. No restaurant at the hotel but the hotel does offer a menu to order food from a local restaurant. They do serve sandwiches at lunchtime which we did try and were very good. However the lack of evening restaurant was not a problem for us as we went out each night we were there for dinner - to both the old and new Ragusa and found some lovely restaurants.
This is a small, charming, converted farm house complex offering bed and breakfast and an excellent swimming pool. The staff make it. They just could not be more helpful. At Reception you can get a photocopy map where they will indicate local places to eat and the supermarket. Breakfast is a plenty. There is a small all day bar. Although it is off the beaten track, there are plenty of places to eat locally, offering good menus at reasonable prices (except Baglio La Pergola - see my review). There is an outside barbecue where you can cook your own meat; the hotel will proved fuel and herbs - no charge. We were fortunate in having a room facing the inner courtyard. Rooms facing away have no private sitting out area, although there are several good spots in the gardens
I recently stayed at the Artemisia Resort for 2 nights. I had just come from a fabulous locally run agriturismo near Modica, so my expectations were very high. This was a slightly more impersonal place than the last, but was lovely in it's own right. The grounds were very pretty, there is a wonderful pool, and one sunny morning I actually set up my mat next to it for a much needed yoga practice! The rooms are nice but somewhat standard. Breakfast was very good and served outside on the terrace in nice weather. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's a very quiet and relaxing place for sure. I would recommend staying here
My wife and I had a fantastic time staying at Artemisia Resort. We received a lovely greeting upon arrival and were taken to our room which was amazing. The size of the room was perfect, the decor of the room was fabulous and it had everything we needed. The bed was so big and comfortable and the shower was great. We loved the breakfast the resort put on and again the staff at breakfast were so helpful and so nice to deal with. There are so many options at breakfast including fried/scrambled eggs and bacon which was a nice addition to the massive offering. The resort itself is so peaceful and beautiful and is exactly like the images on the website. The pool was great as there was nobody else around so my wife and I had it to ourselves all of the time (mid September). The lighting around the resort is a lovely touch especially the changing lights of the swimming pool at night. Although there is no restaurant in the resort they do have a comprehensive menu to order food from a local restaurant which is recommended as the food was great and delivery is about 20mins. There is a bar with a great choice of drinks at very reasonable costs. Great place to stay if visiting Ragusa city and Ragusa marina. This place is perfect for those with a car, not quite sure of the options (if any) to travel here without a car. AMAZING STAFF, super comfortable room, lovely resort with delicious breakfast.....will we return or recommend?......ABSOLUTELY!
