The park-like garden offers various sitting places in the shade of old trees. A small playground and table tennis are at the common disposal of all guests, as well as the sunny pool with its panoramic terraces. The right place for guests who primarily want to relax in peace and perhaps enjoy the sunset with a good glass of wine. For children, at the same time, an ideal area to play and explore the lush nature of the land. But there are also various charming towns in the area such as Siena, San Gimignano or Volterra. Looks can be deceiving

The driveway was nothing but a glorified cow path and trying to drive on it with anything but an off road vehicle was challenging. There was no wifi, even in the common area, which is fine if you want a vacation off the grid and you don’t want to go anywhere. The place has so much untapped potential, but the owners don’t seem to know or see the goal. Written information was not provided so we had to hunt down where the laundry room was, and the clothesline area was hazardous except for the avid hiker. The idea of a common area is fine, provided you have an on site director or manager to bring the multiple guests together in a social atmosphere, which was not present here. The building and the views of the countryside were absolutely stunning, but…everything else fell way short of photographic expectations…
