That's if you can drag yourself inside long enough to watch something, as most guests just want to be outside at the pool area. The bottom floor double doors open onto a complete wrap around deck and the beautiful infinity edge pool. The pool has a built in waterfall, swim jet package, and sun shades installed for swimming rain or shine. It is the perfect place to watch the sun rise and set while enjoying the views with a cup of coffee or a toddy in your hand. If your party is larger than eight we can provide air mattresses or there is an adjacent managers apartment that we sometimes rent out. Contact us for the additional guest fee. We can also arrange transfers to and from the airport in San Jose.
Attractions: Being midway between the two largest beach towns on the Pacific offers many advantages. Jaco and Quepos offer the best restaurants and nightlife on the coast. Manuel Antonio the best beaches and coves. Los Suenos Resort and Marina, the best in all Central America, includes a world-class marina and championship golf course. The brand new marina in Quepos, Marina Pez Zela, along with Los Suenos, make this area one of the most wonderful bases of operation for sports fishing and snorkeling in all the world. Adjacent to the estate is Sky Mountain Canopy, which boasts the highest, longest, and best zip line in all of Costa Rica. Paid admission to the canopy tour includes beautiful hiking trails and a real nice waterfall. We can walk, drive to the waterfall. There is also a wonderful waterfall with 3 different pools (Tres Pilas) at the base of the hill. It is an easy drive and easy hike to these falls. For those wanting to experience the real Costa Rica without the crowds there are six different beaches just a short half hour drive from the estate. Some are perfect for swimming and some are world class surf beaches. All are great for picnics, walking, and watching the sun set. Playa Palo Seco, just outside Parrita, and Esterillos to our west, both have several little resorts with wonderful restaurants for memorial sunset dining. Parrita and Playon closer to the hill have many very good Tico restaurants for those who prefer the local cusine and culture.
We have maps and a GPS available. If you have a larger group, we can arrange transfers with a very reliable local driver in a very nice 10 to 12 passenger air conditioned van. We can usually get you a more affordable rate on transfers locally then you can get on your own. We know a lot of cool places to go and you just sit back and relax.
We can also help arrange for a car rental with a very reputable firm in Jaco. They come and get you right at the airport and deliver you to Jaco where you sign he paperwork and drop off the driver. Driving in CR can be quite the stress-filled adventure, especially at night but once you are on the coast it is a piece of cake.
An entomologist from Canada visited us this December 2023 and provided a link to all the pictures he took of butterflies, monkeys, insects, birds, waterfalls etc. We have attached the link here for you to review and enjoy; you will possibly have to copy the link and paste the link in your browser to review.

Beautiful and relaxing!
Our family of 7 had an absolutely lovely time staying at Randy & Claudia’s beautiful Casa Brisas! Hospitality was second-to-none and they were both so helpful and informative - even making sure we knew there were monkeys hanging out in the treetops so the kids didn’t miss them! And, while you’re there, definitely do not miss Andrea’s cooking - fantastic meals and she was so sweet teaching us (including our kids) how to prepare empanadas and traditional Costa Rican food! Can’t say enough good things!! (We had a big group and an 11-passenger van….just beware the roads to get there are typical Costa Rican mountain roads!)

Only in dreams getaway
All 8 of our group of friends were blown away by this house. The vacation of a lifetime! Located on a remote private 60 acre mountain top in the jungle with all the conveniences and comforts of home and views as far as you can see of lush jungle all the way to the ocean. Gigantic breezy wrap around porches, an infinity pool, AC, Starlink lightning fast internet. 4 large bedrooms and baths, well stocked kitchen. Surrounded by lemon trees, starfruit trees, mango trees, coconut trees, palm trees and beautiful flowers. Saw monkeys from the pool, toucans, scarlet macaws, iguanas and much more wildlife without leaving the house! The onsite cook Andrea prepared us fresh, locally sourced authentic food that was delicious. Our hosts Claudia & Randy went above & beyond to help us and were great resources for things to do and see in the area. An unforgettable experience!

Beautiful house on mountain top
The house is large and and comfortable and in a beautiful natural setting . The view is wonderful and the property is visited daily by monkeys, toucans, iguanas and macaws. The Bandera Beach 30 minutes away is large , wonderful and with few visitors. And one can access all sort of tours to other attractions nearby.

Breathtaking Getaway!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Casa! We had a group of 8 adults and the casa accommodated us very well. It's a beautiful home with breathtaking views of the mountains and the valley below. Randy and Claudia were wonderful to communicate with and had hosts there to help us with our every need. Andrea, the personal chef, made us delicious meals and was also great to work with. We used google translate to communicate and it worked really well. The landscape is beautiful, all the different birds and wild life are fun to see! The pool is spectacular! The road to get there was a little exciting when we arrived the first night. We all had a great laugh about it. It takes about 30 min to get up and down the mountain. We had a rental van and it was able to get up and down just fine. The scenery going up the mountain is beautiful with lots of greenery and local life. We would love to come back and highly recommend the Casa for anyone who wants to enjoy Costa Rica!

Great pool and owners
Communication with the owners was awesome. He was very kind and helpful and helped us set up great tours. The outside area of the house is very nice. Pool is spotless. The chef cooked us a delicious dinner. The listing accuracy was a real bummer. We felt trapped at the top of a mountain because it took so long to get down and into a decent town. What bothered me the most was the incessant ants in the master bedroom and the lizard poop everywhere inside the house, mostly upstairs.

Beautiful and Peaceful
We had a great stay at Casa Brisas de la Montana. Randy and Claudia were not able to be there but were in touch throughout our stay and Jared (his son) was there and checked in daily to make sure everything was good and if we needed anything. They even booked most of our excursions and Randy knew what he was talking about! We had so much fun making wonderful memories! This house has an amazing view about 25 mins from the town of Parrita and 45ish mins to Quepos or Jaco. We saw iguanas, a toucan, and lots of monkeys on property. It’s a ways up the mountain but the view is worth it. Thanks Randy, Claudia, and Jared for being the best host/hostess!

Jungle adventure
Overall our stay was very memorable. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. The views were amazing, the pool refreshing, and the house had all the comforts of home. The drive to the house is up hill and can be a challenge, but also was enjoyable. We saw monkeys early in the morning, and iguanas throughout the day. We also saw parrots, toucans, turkeys, and a lot more birds. The staff helped guide us to a waterfall that was near the property on horseback which was an adventure for the whole family (aged 10 to 77). We did have an issue with ants in the house, but the staff worked hard to keep them away. We were in the jungle, so not unexpected.

Beautiful Setting
The house up in the mountains was absolutely beautiful and we cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff. Diego, Ernesto, Andrea and Magally were so kind and helpful the entire time we were there. The setting provides beautiful views, the rooms are lovely and the pool and hammocks were great for relaxing. Ernesto took us horseback riding and we were connected with Esteben for surfing....highly recommend, he was amazing! (he also let us use his boogie boards for the day in addition to surfing) Also highly recommend Andrea for meals. We hired her for 5 dinners and two breakfasts. Not only is she an amazing cook, she is so incredibly sweet.
One thing to be aware of is the location of the house. Read the details the owners provide. On the VRBO site, it says 9 min to Manuel Antonio, 14 min. to Quepos. These times are incorrect. You have a 25-30 min, very rough drive up the mountain from the main road in Parrita that connects all of the towns. It is another 20-30 min. drive from there to Jaco, Quepos, and Manuel Antonio. It is a great location if you plan to relax at the house for several days. If you want to do a lot of excursions in other areas, be prepared for a bit of a drive.

Beautiful home, beautiful views
VRBO had the location as Manuel Antonio but the owner clarified it to be located in Parrita. After initial doubts about staying far away from the areas we were planning to visit, we are very happy we stayed at this home. It was very peaceful and great views. The property staff was so helpful and kind and Randy is also very kind. Only warning is use caution when driving a large van. The road up the mountain is dirt and rocks and it was a bit difficult to drive uphill during the rainy season.

Family Vacation in the Jungle
My family of 7 had a wonderful time at Casa Brisas. We spent 11 days from June 4-15. Randy has an exceptional team in place to make your remote jungle stay feel like a private all-inclusive resort. Ernesto and Diego split day and night shifts staying on property to help with any issues that may arise. The most common was loss of power, but Randy has the most modern and powerful whole house solar electric system that I have ever seen. Capable of powering the entire house, pool pump, lights, hot water and 4 separate room air conditioners all at the same time. The power was never out for more than a couple of minutes. Not to be overlooked was the water supply for the house. No need to buy and haul bottled water and try to keep it cold. We drank the water and ice made from it our entire stay and not one of us had an issue. Truly a time and money saver! We hired Andrea and her sister-in-law Julie to shop, cook and clean for us and would highly recommend. The meals were fantastic, the left overs were plenty, and when all was said and done, was cheaper than going out to eat. We had them prepare 10 meals and it was more food than we could eat during our 11 day stay. Magally came every other day to clean the entire Casa, plus do all the towels and also your laundry if you wanted her too. We saw capuchin & squirrel monkeys, coati, toucans all on the property. Truly a private all-inclusive in the jungle.

A Wonderful Family Vacation Spot!
This is definitely NOT a bar-hopping beach/shopping spring break destination. It's not on a beach. It's located 2-3 hours by car from San Juan International Airport. It's a 30 minute plus ride to a beach and the nearest sizable town on a combination gravel and blacktop country roads that wind through bannaa and coconut plantations and up the mountain.
But when you get to the end of that road you are in for a treat!
The views are stunning, The house itself is beautiful and perfectly maintained. The pictures of this place on the website really don't do it justice. It is a gem! The wildlife deserves special mention. We loved watching the birds and the spider monkeys playing around the house.
Our family took guided horseback rides from the property; enjoyed one of the most scenic Zip lines in CR located nearby; took pictures of the wildlife, and swam in a beautiful infinity pool. Most important for me was time to reconnect with children and grandchildren.
You also can take day trips to those bars and tourist spots.
The hosts, Randy and Claudia and their staff really made this place special for us. From the moment I reserved the house, until the morning we left, they worked to make our stay special, recommending and arranging transportation and day trips, and helping us select a cook. They have put together an extraordinary team that made this trip truly special for our family.
So -- if you are looking for an unforgettable family vacation experience, this is your place!

Amazing Vacation at Casa Brisas de la Montana
I can’t say enough about how wonderful our vacation at Randy and Claudia’s home was. When we first booked the house, Randy emailed us lots of helpful information about the area and Costa Rica. Then he was in communication with us about our arrival and check in process. When we got to Parrita, Randy met us at the local grocery store, and we followed him up to the house. The house is amazing. It’s so beautiful inside and out. It’s on 60 acres and is very private and safe. The view of the valley below all the way to the Pacific ocean is incredible. The infinity pool is beautiful and our whole family enjoyed using it multiple times a day. They also have horses on the property, and my kids loved going out to pet them each day. Randy and Claudia, along with their staff, take such good care of you. They treat you like family. We got to go horseback riding on trails near the house, which we loved. Randy also took us on a short hike to a local waterfall with three pools for swimming. We had the whole waterfall to ourselves and had so much fun jumping off the rocks into the pools of water below. We had their cook Andrea make us lunch and dinner every day while we were there. Andrea is amazing. Everything she cooked for us was so delicious and tasted better than any of the restaurants we tried after leaving Randy and Claudia’s. We highly recommended using her services while staying at the house. We had such a wonderful time and were so sad to leave. We will definitely be back!

Secluded Tropical Paradise
Highlight – pool! Kids promptly dubbed the "luxury pool." They were in at breakfast and after dinner. We spotted monkeys, geckos, iguana and even a toucan who finally showed up on our last morning. The second-floor wrap-around balcony provided perfect sunset view. The adventurous drive seemed crazy at first but then it just added to the excitement, especially for our adventurous kids who loved the winding gravel roads, even after dark. The master bedroom shower head is unusually high with wide span (speaking from a 5 ft perspective), making it challenging to wash hair. Perhaps a handle could be helpful. My husband enjoyed the giant tub for a nightly soak. Ample hammocks and seating, including a spacious outside table by the mango trees. Last minute (after arrival!!!), we decided to hire Andrea to cook. It turned out to be the best and affordable decision. I have never had a cook but for a reasonable price, we had breakfast ready in the morning and dinner waiting for us when we returned from our daily adventures. Finally, the presence of the owners added a personal touch. Didn’t know what to expect since we are pretty private, but their warmth and hospitality made us feel at home, especially kids who loved playing with cats and feed their horses—a delightful experience for them reminded me of going to grandma and grandpas house which always offers some type of an adventure. This hidden gem is true Costa Rica and not Costa Rica built to look like Florida!

Fabulous house with incredible hosts!
We booked this home for our 40th anniversary and invited family and friends to join us. Claudia and Randy and their staff made our stay incredible. Hands on with help for outings with the best guides. Randy would call and set up what we wanted to do or take us himself. Guys did deep sea fishing in Quepos, we hiked to a beautiful waterfall and swam, had a guided boat tour through the Mangrove forest to see monkeys. This is a must do excursion as long as you get Randy's friends. What an informative young man who has studied these monkeys for years and is quite entertaining. We zip lined through a fabulous mountain area located just down the mountain road from the Las Brisas house. We went on a high/long zip through the mountain canopies. Randy met us at the end with refreshments on his ATV. Suggestions for restaurants led us through a horse pasture road to Don Toro's on the beach below and we had the most fantastic food while sitting under the almond tree canopies and seeing the resident sloth up overhead. Andrea cooked for us 3 nights, what a wonderful person. From start to finish you do not lift a finger. She made us a fabulous first night, Anniversary and last night dinner. Gabby made the most incredible cakes I have ever tasted! We had a mariachi band for our Anniversary as well. The pool is wonderful and was used many times a day. The cleanliness is impeccable and we left feeling like we had made many new friends. Worth the drive up the bumpy mountain!

What a house
This house is an oasis in the jungle. Beautiful flora and fauna surrounds. Its a little remote from town, which is why we took advantage of Andrea to cook almost all our meals and WOW is she an amazing chef! Ernesto, another staff member was so kind and took us horseback riding one day with his and Randy's horses, and even cut down some coconuts from a tree for my son. Monkeys came right up to the balcony, iguanas on the lawn, and the cutest little geckos on the balcony keeping all the bugs away. The grown ups would sit and have a cocktail on the balcony watching the sunset while the kids were in the pool, and Andrea would call us for dinner! All in all, an unforgettable experience and unlike anything else you may find.

Not sure where to begin. The property and location is breathtaking. Mornings and afternoons spent with monkeys and toucans and much more. Diego, Andrea, and Ernesto, who work on property made us feel so welcomed. We were sad to leave them. Anything we needed, Diego, Ernesto and Andrea made sure we were taken care of. Words cannot describe their hospitality. You must book Andrea to prepare meals each day. She is like a private gourmet chef and will prepare meals with your dietary requests. We stayed 7 days and she prepared meals for us 6 out of those days. Please treat yourself while on vacation and have her prepare the most authentic and amazing meals ever. Trust me! Take time to stop at a local tavern or store in the nearby villages. You will be welcomed with much kindness. The road to the place is long but worth the drive each day to enjoy the scenery and all of the natural beauty and animals. Randy, the owner, provided recommendations for everything we needed to get to the property, from the car rental, medical etc. this was our first time in Costa Rica and we will be back to see our new friends.

Very special place!
I’ll start by saying that several of us actually teared up saying goodbye to this special place and the staff on our last day! We’re a family of 8 (my mother, my husband and our 5 kids: 18, 14, 12, 6 and 3) and stayed for a week in early July 2023. Some highlights: the wildlife! We saw toucans every morning, scarlett macaws, iguanas, leaf cutter ants, frogs (including poison dart frogs), capuchin monkeys and squirrel monkeys every evening. The pool, the view, the horses and chickens, Andrea’s cooking every night, Diego, Ernesto and Magally were absolutely amazing. Anytime I reached out to Randy with a question, he was quick to respond and so kind. Everything about our experience at this house exceeded our expectations (even after all the amazing reviews we read beforehand).
