First time in Queenstown staying at a 4 star resort. The money I paid for a one night was not worth the average service and dated facilities of the hotel. It either needs a downgrade of the promoted stars or upgrade of service and facilities for the prices paid.
Firstly the room was very expensive taking into account that it was outdated and worn out. Secondly we had payed for the breakfast beforehand but the staff insisted that we have to pay it for a second time. It took some cursing in Finnish to get them actually check the paperwork. In the evening the restaurant had only pizzas which were greasy as hell. Also the staff seemed depressed and tired. Never going back! Can't recommend this hotel to anyone. I'm glad that we stayed only for one night.
We stayed for one night two days ago and did not expect much as it was a last minute booking, with most of accommodation in Queenstown booked. The hotel is very dated, in need of extensive renovation. We were a couple and were put in a room with two single beds...., the bathroom smelt mouldy, and the beds very very bendy (banans beds). The tv was old and had a fuzzy picture, and not big enough for the room. There was no coffee plunger and the fridge was dirty and not working properly. The bathroom had a new sink put in an old formica bench with the holes left around it. The plugs in the room were dangerous where the jug plugged in as when you removed the cord the whole plug comes out of the wall. However the staff were lovely.
We stayed here for one night and thought that while the hotel is dated, it was a comfortable stay in particular the queen bed. As the hotel is located a little out of town (6km) they provide a free shuttle service to town which was convenient. It also has a bowling alley but that is not free.
Good place to stay, 5-6 km outside from Queenstown city, big enough with other entertainment facilities bowling and car racing, reccomended to all. Spacy room great customer service, Arushi is great 👍. Would love to visit again.
We chose this hotel to stay to celebrate our honeymoon and weren't disappointed. The location is stunning, just 10 minutes away from the town centre in a stunning quiet location surrounded by mountains. The perfect spot to relax. The available shuttles provided by the hotel are very convienent and accommodating. The room was excellent eith very attentive detail providing a written card and bottle of Champagne to celebrate our honeymoon- a very thoughtful touch by the GM Grant, who really made us welcome at at home. I would thoroughly recommend the Swiss-Belresort Coronet Peak to anyone. We are now even making plans to return in winter to make the most of the ski slopes!
Ive had the worst stay of my life at this place. Into my room 106 and find the following... Seriously bad leaking taps in bathroom Seriously rotten carpet around door to bathroon They advertise Sky tv but could only get channel 1 . 2. and 3 They advertise an Outdoor Pool but there was none. I went to have Breakfast and found the food was STONE COLD I was woken at $am one morning by the people in the next room drying their hair with a bloody hair dryer and yelling at each other..Room walls are very thin Internet is so slow that Ive sen faster snails The car park looks like a bomb site with pot holes everywhere. THE ONLY GOOD THING WAS THAT THERE IS GOOD PARKING.
With friendly reception and overall feeling of space and cleanliness, our stay must be called very pleasant indeed. For the sake of finding anything to complain about (we are human aren't we?) I can only come up with the kettle for boiling water being on the small side and the one chair in the otherwise well laid out room limiting (only if you insist on sitting in a chair) Great place with many things to do and excellent service. Must mention a huge screen and comfortable bed. Just super and good value for money.
Hands down to all the staff for being so nice and accommodating.. we booked a standard double room for our family a month prior.. i told the receptionist who confirmed the booking that we have a 4 year old and 5 month old kids..when we arrived, she told me that we were upgraded to a family room at no extra cost to provide more room for the kids. the room allocated to us was not far from lobby and the parking area was very close as well.. we appreciated the gesture very much! apologies that i cannot remember their names but well done to you all! overall, we enjoyed our stay, the room was very clean and tidy, the beds were comfy, location was superb (away from the noise of busy town).. aside from poor wifi connection, we got everything that we needed.. can't wait to stay in this hotel again!
I had a great stay at the hotel. The bed was so comfortable and so big. Best night's sleep ever! It was also a good location for me as I was taking part in the Queenstown half marathon and the start line was very nearby. I also liked that it was close to Arrowtown which is a lovely historical place to visit.
