The amazing waterfront location of the property is the greatest draw and the staff at Marisma help their guests enjoy this natural advantage to the greatest extent possible. Beatriz was able to help us with an unexpected scheduling change and was very kind and helpful when a huge storm rolled in and knocked out power overnight...breakfast was still ready in the morning despite the tough conditions!

Lindo fin de semana, el lugar tiene muy lindas vistas al mar, está diseñado para que en cualquier habitación que te toque, no importa cuál, vas a ver el mar desde allí. Tiene un servicio de desayuno a la habitación, sin costo extra y muy agradable para arrancar la mañana. Todos son muy amables.

Endroit magique Vue extraordinaire par la fenêtre de la chambre On imagine qu'à la belle saison ce doit être le paradis car on a les pieds dans le sable et il n'y a plus qu'à sauter dans l'eau. Le seul bémol est le petit déjeuner plutôt ordinaire pour le niveau de cet hôtel.

El paraiso en medio del infierno ;-) El hotel más lindo de todo Rocha y seguramente de todo uruguay incluyendo el exclusivo y aclamado punta del este. Ubicado en un lugar único sobre las dunas de la playa y con vista al mar, los cuartos impecables y cómodos y el personal de hotel de primera.

Marisma Apart & Suites sijaitsee Punta del Diablossa eteläisen Atlantin rannalla Uruguayssa noin 40 kilometriä Brasilian rajasta etelään. Pieni kaupunki on entinen kalastajakylä, josta on kehittynyt käsityöläisten ja matkailijoiden hieman ristiriitainenkin elin- ja lomanviettopaikka. Ristiriitainen paikka on sikäli, että joukkoon mahtuu kalastajia, hippejä, surfaajia, nuoria, maastoautoilla maastossa (ei hiekkarannoilla ja dyyneillä) ajavia, matkailevia perheitä ja pariskuntia. Majoitus ulottuu telttamajoituksesta ja mökeistä lähes luxus-tason vuokrattavien taloihin ja hotelleihin. Suuria hotelleja kaupungissa ei ole. Hiekkarannat ovat pitkät ja puhtaat sekä dyynit upeahkot, ehkä vain mainittavana, mitä nyt aallot saattavat tuoda kuolleita hylkeitä ja merileijonia rannoille. Muutaman kilometrin päässä hyväkuntoista päällystettyä valtamaantietä (Ruta 9, km 302) pohjoiseen on Parque National Santa Teresa, jossa on 3.000 hehtaarin alueella yli kaksi miljoonaa puuta, ruusulaaksossa yli 330 erilajista ruusua ja enemmän kuin 60 kilometriä polkuja käveltäväksi, kalastusmahdollisuuksia, majoitusta, grillauspaikkoja sekä lääkärin ja hammaslääkärin palvelut. Siitä vielä muutama kilometri valtatietä pohjoiseen on Fortaleza de Santa Teresa, hyvin entisöity 1700-luvun linnoitus korkeahkolla kukkulalla upeine maisemineen Atlantille ja länteen Laguna Negralle. Linnoituksen museoissa kannattaa käydä. Marsima on hyvätasoinen, suuret huoneet ja terassit, sviitti ja huoneistoja
