The beach was incredible, but the service and staff were not good.

The Wyndham stepped up their game a bit . A new pool and smoothie bar , also a new water front swimming spot completed this year. I had another fantastic stay (4th time )at this property. I hope to see updates to the bungalows and rooms soon as they are pretty dreary .

The beach surrounding the resort was beautiful, the sea was calm although it appeared to be an artificial beach with lots of corals. Most Dominican beaches have lots of coral and it is hard to find a good stretch of sand with perfectly placed palm trees. The best example of a natural beach somehow nearby was Sonoa Island. The staff did their best to maintain the grounds clean. Also, no one touched anything that did not belong to them. We were free to dry our bathing suits on the chairs in our balconies or rest our stuff on the beach chairs while going for a swim. They have 2 very clean pools available to the resort guests. The VIP side -- restricted access -- was less crowded, with an infinity jacuzzi and a very large pool by La Roca Restaurant. There were 3 restaurants non-VIP guests could use. One of which had a buffet style and the other was Pizza, Pasta and Salad.

The customer service was exceptional. The staff are very welcoming.

I Luke because I feel safe!! ... my kids and my husband enjoy the Resort!!

it was clean, plenty of walking room. grounds kept up and maintained well.pool was clean.food and bar close by.our ocean front bungalow was cute and worked well...location was great to all things around us.maid service was excellent.views were outstanding.staff was all around to help along with staffing for activities.there is a language barrier but you work thru it and do your best....they are mostly spanish and french.

They overbook the place. I had to fight to get the bungalow I booked through orbitz and then was placed in a bungalow next to their outdoor disco party. Had to request to be moved. Buffet is tolerable, but they tried to give me one dinner reservation at a restaurant, but for after my trip was to end! Again I had to push to get better service and then reservations for two dinners suddenly popped up. Beach was lovely, hotep was in need of updates.

I loved the show. Loved the beach. Food was good. Hotel animation staff is super. Loved the shows that they done. Hotel needs some improvement especialy the rooms. But over all I am very happy with my stay.

Rooms: We stayed at a beachfront bungalow. Room was very clean, spectacular view and good location. Our bungalow was behind the buffet and just before the Roca Grill. Our view was waves crashing on the cliffs, less people, more sand, palm trees and ocean. Pools: there are several pools, the main pool was over crowed & mostly with children & had to fight for the few chairs. We used the pool next to the Roca restaurant. It was always tranquil, plenty of seating, and towels close by. Nice music playing to keep the mood. Beach: water is beautiful. Several of the hotels around this area do not have sandy beaches, like WhalaBayahibe which is a quick 2 min drive away. Those hotels have pools built onto the cliffs and the brave do jump off into the ocean to swim. It was nice to have sandy beach but it felt so crowded. People everywhere you looked that we didn’t enjoy it as much this time. More people also meant more trash. The sandy area near the plaza was dirty. Plastic cups, forks and cigarette buds everywhere. =( Entertainment: This was our biggest disappointment. The current staff was not as engaging. In the pool area where we stayed the entertainment staff didn’t even speak Spanish, and very broken English. They primarily made all announcements in French. Bar: t almost seems like the staff is trained to take as long as possible serving each drink to reduce the number of drinks being served at this bar. Overall: Not memorable enough to return.

Generally ok, but with some disappointment, great location, on the beach, but services a bit for the mass tourism, not always excellent

The resort is ok nothing to brag about. The entertainment and bar staff are nice and funny. You will definitely need to know Spanish to be able to communicate effectively with most staff. The beach was beautiful. There should be more staff to be able to take your order for a drink while relaxing on the beach. I had issues with the specialty restaurants in regards to reservations to eat at the them. The resort should eliminate having to make reservations at those restaurants because when you get to the restaurants and ask if you could eat without reservations; the staff says 'no we are booked" and you can clearly see that its empty. That made me upset and was forced to eat at the the not so go buffet that was available without a reservation. Another annoying issue is the outrageous charge to have WIFI in your room. Wifi is only avalilble for free in the common areas which it didnt have to best connection and to charge for Wifi when other items at the resorts are not as appealing brings it down for me. All in all my traveling partners and I had an ok trip.

The Hotel is very confortable, have a nice big and beatyfull beach. You can make a lot of activities and sport (if you want), and the meals are very good too. Very confortable, and it is ideal for families with small Kids.

Lobby staff: courteous Hotel activities, amenities and shows : excellent Restaurants staff: very rude We had roaches crawling all over, they clean your room, take ur towels and won't replace them right away. All the buildings are very deteriorated. I expected more from a Italian chain Hotel. I will never book there again.

A 6 day stay wasn't enough but perfect amount to relax. Loved the bungalows and our location.

-Resort Location VERY REMOTE.... -ROOM Furniture DIRTY & STAINED.... -FOOD VERY BLAND & NOT NATIVE Food- Catered towards European pallet. -CONCIERGES VERY PUSHY & RUDE, Wasted 2hrs of our Vacation on unsolicited "Membership Sales Pitch"..... -STAFF ROBOTIC & NOT WELCOMING other than towards Europeans, borderline PREJUDICE & I'm DOMINICAN...... *BEACH was AWESOME!!!!! *Rest. ATLANTIS was a delight...!!!!

The resort was well maintained and staff was quite friendly and accommodating.
