Its a nice place. There are a few things that I didnt like. One was our main issue, They make you download their app to use for rsvping to get into the restaurants. If you are not a diamond member you wont get into most of the restaurants they have. And the restaurants you do get to pick from you cant because they are already booked. They tell you you can book around 4:30 but in our case it was never available. Then they told us to book around 6. And of course that didnt work either. So when we did get a chance to rsvp, the only times we could get in is at 9 or 9:45pm. So we didnt have a choice but to eat at the buffet. Which wasnt bad. But we wanted to try the 4 restaurants that we were allowed at without having to pay extra. And the extra is $50per person and kids were $20 per kid. Which if we are paying $6000 to stay there we should have access to all restaurants. Next is the water park. Its only open from 9am to 4pm. One more thing was our bath towels in the room. One day the maids made us a swan out of a towel. Which was cool. Once I undid the towel I noticed it was our used towels! I only know this because my hair dye was on that towel from taking a shower.

Everyone treated my friends and I like an afterthought. We had bad service, from men especially. Some women were very kind. But the bad outweighs the good, unfortunately. After asking for 2 queen beds since January, we were given 1 king bed and a roll-in bed the first night. Couldn’t even unpack and settle in because we had to switch room the very next day, to get the previously requested 2 queen beds. The showers have no door, or curtain, leading the bathroom to flood easily, making a nasty bathroom. You have to book reservations on a laggy app, that didn’t even work half the time. When we tried to get help, room service wouldn’t answer the phone. When we ran into an employee, they said to call room service.

Sanitation in the public washrooms needs some attention. Soap dispensers need to be refilled at all times. Cutlery in the dining areas and restaurants should be wrapped in serviettes and not just sitting directly on the tables. Sometimes the tables looked like they weee not properly washed. Cross contamination!!!

Very nice resort with good food options. My kids loved the water park, the pools were beautiful the beach was gorgeous. Lots of entertainment for the whole family. My only con was it took a while to get a drink from the bar

The rooms were not 4 star rating.. they were very old lighting, smelled weird and had broken door. The room service took a lot of time to bring an order. The only good thing was the pool The food at their restaurants were good but staff has great difficulty understanding basic english which would be a necessity in a resort open for everyone around the world. Would not be back to the Splash though

We were pleased with our room and the option to access the pools and most of the facilities at Royalton Punta Cana. Other comments had us worried about the resort being rundown or the staff being unfriendly or unhelpful…none of this is true. If you are looking for a family vacation, this is a good place. The Splash side is quieter but still has activities and some entertainment. The nightlife ends around 9pm, so if you have children who need to sleep, this is ideal. The waterpark was added entertainment and never had long lines or no seats available. I found booking for restaurant reservations on the app annoying and was told by front desk you could only do so for the next night starting at 6pm, when in fact some of the locations (including the Italian and Mexican) posted booking options at 5pm so if you waited until 6, you could only get a 9pm reservation. Overall an enjoyable experience…bonus, there are amusing birds, turtles and iguanas on the property!

The best thing about this hotel is absolutely the staff!! The hotel had its hiccups, for example, check in was horrid. Getting dinner reservations at the specialty restaurants was impossible and the hotel is NOT oceanfront like it says it is. Royalton punta cana, the partner hotel, is. You had to take a trolley which was not a huge deal but u went under the impression that it was oceanfront which was not. Keep this in mind if like me your prefer this. Back to the best part of the trip, the way the staff is just amazing! Victor was our concierge and he went above and beyond daily to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Victor was just truly the best part of our trip. Willy at the swim up bar was fantastic and always had a smile on his face.

I booked this trip for 4 nights me and my 10 year old daughter for her birthday. Our overall stay was very nice. The staff on the resort was very kinda and patient. We had a TV issue in the room but the staff helped immediately. The only thing that I didn’t like was that it was a little difficult getting reservations at the restaurants at Splash. Other than that we truly enjoyed our stay and we would most definitely stay here again.

I just got back from an amazing stay at the Royalton Splash Punta Cana, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Joel, our personal assistant. He made our trip so much better! From booking us the best beach cabanas to making restaurant reservations and even organizing excursions, he took care of everything. We never had to worry about a thing—he was always one step ahead, making sure we had the best spots and experiences. Joel’s friendly, super helpful, and genuinely made us feel like VIPs the entire time. If you’re planning a trip to this resort, definitely look for Joel—he’ll make your stay unforgettable!

Beautiful property. The kids and adults all enjoyed the amazing waterpark and evening entertainment and the beach was stunning and clean. The resort is a good size and never felt overly crowded even though it was March Break.

Could never get clean pool towels. Room freezing, thermostat did not change the temperature in the room. Food at breakfast buffet, unless you got eggs, was always cold and out of staples ie. Syrup, bacon. Same buffet options for dinner over and over. Restaurant reservation system was horrible and none of the staff could explain when reservations opened for the next day. Entertainment limited.
