Nice beach water is clear as nice food I recommend

The beach is beautiful. White sand, clear calm water. The staff is super friendly and eager to please. Food was good, pool was beautiful. Rooms were clean and well air conditioned. I almost booked on the bavaro beach side. After traveling to Bavaro for a deep sea fishing trip and seeing the resorts and beaches there, I'm glad I chose Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus.

The Iberostar has a lovely set of grounds, with direct access to a clean and nice area of beach. The staff are very friendly and clearly care about their guests having a great time. Unfortunately, the food and drink were a big let down. On the plus side, the buffet options for lunch and dinner are extensive with a lot of delicious options. The various restaurants, however, are quite poor for anyone who is used to eating in even just average restaurants in the United States. There are about 4 'speciality' restaurants, which you have to book in advance (gourmet, mexican, japanese, steak). The steak restaurant is probably the best of the lot and was reasonable (for U.S. visitors, say, 3.5 stars on Yelp). The others are wanting. We were particularly disappointed in the gourmet restaurant because it is the "special" option. We were optimistic after the appetizers (which were very good), but the main dishes and deserts were honestly, barely edible. We actually didn't have more than a few bites each. The all inclusive wine served at dinner tastes very cheap, so if you like a nice (or even average) wine, you might be disappointed with that. The service in the restaurants was very good at all times. All in all, if you want a vacation by the pool or beach and do not mind getting buffet food everyday, you will probably really like your stay. On the other hand, if you also hope to enjoy some good food, you might want to look at another resort.

We had our first vacations after 3 years, as a young and a very tight family. Our 2 year old and 6 year old really enjoyed the pool and the beach. The place was absolutely clean and facility was manicured to perfection. There were 2 shortcomings: first being the lack of variety in food, the food was good but it lacked quality and variety, my wife is vegetarian - so every day she would scramble to get something to eat. Second drawback, the staff knows little to no English, just getting butter one day became a huge deal. Lastly, its worth mentioning but not a huge criticism from our stay standpoint, the lack of restaurants, there are 4 but the reservations are really hard to come by. On our first night when I tried to reserve a table at any of the restaurants we were informed that all are booked for the next 7 days but 1 - the steakhouse, but my wife being a vegetarian that was not an option for us.

The resort was clean and the staff was always pleasant. The food was mediocre at best. The buffet, Japanese restaurant and the Mexican restaurant's were decent. The "El Colonial" fine dining restaurant was disappointing. The water was beautiful, but the beach was always littered with trash and cups from the day before. No seaweed, so that was a plus. The landscaping at the resort was immaculate.

This is a really beautiful resort, second time here did not disappoint. Always great times at Iberostar hotels, but this one stands out as one of the best in the world and it has been for quite some time now. It is impeccably maintained, there are always projects going on to repaint or reconstruct something to make it look perfect. Highly recommended for anybody seeking an overall relaxing experience with friendly staff.

The hotel was excellent with a very professional and upbeat staff. The beach was wonderful and well maintained. The pool and surrounding area was always clean and well kept. The rooms were magnificent. The dining areas were very good with a various array of choices. The staff met all needs and were very helpful. It was a wonderful vacation.

Excellent hotel. Good food good people good rooms. Will definitely be visiting again. Price is affordable, then again, it depends on the season.

Very nice environment, excellent food, lots of seafod. Christmas was really wonderful!

Overall experience was good. We returned to this hotel multiple times due to outstanding beach. Had issues at check in, out of 13 people 2 were booked at a nearby Iberostar by mistake. When asked Iberostar manager to transfer those 2 people to correct Iberostar two managers at both Iberostar hotels could not agree on transfer terms and told us to contact Iberostar main office to resolve their internal transfer situation. This is very annoying since two managers asked a customer to contact a main office to resolve the transfer. Due to this issue we lost three days trying to resolve it. Also air condition did not work, hotel was completely booked and we had to stay in the room without AC. Very very frustrating, most likely will not book Iberostar in the future due to this experience. On the other hand Orbitz did an outstanding job, stepped in and fix the whole thing, they even paid the transfer fee, we will definitely book through Orbitz again.

We are happy. Nice Hotel. Good food. We are recommend.

Everything from stepping out from the bus which brought us from the airport to the final lunch and goodbye hugs were amazing. Waitresses and waitres, the maid, all the people who made our vacation comfortable were unbelievable friendly!

Me and my family stayed in for a week. Such a great vacation.

Hotel staff were amazing- the facilitates were clean and well maintained- It met many of our expectations and exceeded some as well, the buffet consistently the best we've ever had- The beach was phenomenal-

Hotel was nice, clean, staff was helpful and nice, Food was good. Nice pool and bar area, beach area was nice.

eturning visitor to this great resort. One reason my wife and son (3yr) like going here for the easy of transportation from La Romana airport which is 15 mins away from the resort. Another huge reason we love going here, besides the beautiful beaches is the staff. Everyone is so friendly from the moment of arrival to the last minute you are there. Jose remembered us and welcomed us. Antonia and Roberto at the reception did a fantastic job checking using and accommodating us in our requested building 4 lower level room. As mentioned before they beach is awesome. Bienvenido (Manager) makes sure all guests have what they need.. really nice guy! Yan, Amparito, Ramon really take good care of you at the bar. At the buffet.....servers: Davie, Antonio, Ramona, Altagracia, Mikaela, Pamela are GREAT! Chefs/cooks: Federico,Samuel and Francisco will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with your food. At the lobby bar..my friends Marcelino and Eduardo. Of course I can't forget the complete Entertainment team:Lenny, Ezequiel (Patilla), Nickolas, Gabriel, Martin and others.. They really do a great job to ensure you are enjoying your vacation at their resort. We met new friends and will be returning soon!

Beautiful grounds, great food, basic spacious rooms that could use an update, very clean. Dressel divers dive shop on premises offers great diving- never crowded boats, excellent dive masters, very accommodating. Fantastic beach, great pool. Highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful. The beach was pristine and the water was so clear you could see the small fish swimming around. The food was very good and the selection at the buffet was great.

We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. Clean beach, great service/food/accommodations. Kids club kept kids occupied. Will come back to this hotel again.

Great place to relax for couples and families as well.
