Hotel El Imperio Punta Cana did not have hot water for 2 days. The third day did not have wifi service. No elevator for 2nd floor. The room #201 feel neglected as ceiling & wall has molds. No toilet tissue holder, no towel ring, no towel bar, nothing for hanging towels or clothes in bathroom with tissue sitting on toilet tank. No face towels. No cups or glasses. No intercom not to mention phone in the room to call Reception. No shower curtain or door for shower, water splash all over as my husband relevantly took cold water shower. But I could not bath & wash hair with cold water!! OMG they gave me hot water in mopping floor buckets with dirty stuff in the water for me to shower!! Imagine hot days outings back to hotel after 8pm, no hot water wash hair & shower! NOT acceptable to pay for 3 nights. Bathroom exhausted fans sounds like thunderstorm. Not 3 stars hotel as claimed. No fridge we can still reluctantly accept for hot place Punta Cana. But OMG none of the receptionists or servers speak English. Only acceptable thing is homemade breakfast which we tip the chef.

Minimal options for breakfast but atleast it was included. Seen maintenance cleaning the property everyday but still old and dirty. Unsafe wet puddles near stairs. Completely not wheelchair accessible. Hazardous debris laying around property. Rooms dont get cleaned unless you go down to desk and ask and you have to leave your own personal room key. Nice view on hotel lobby which is whats posted as the hotel’s advertising webpage on expedia. The male counter staff that works the morning had great customer service. If you are not a native the location of this hotel is extremely dangerous and unsafe.

Amazing place

The staff was amazing. From Yisenia at reception to the restaurant staff, it was a 5 star service all around. The service from.the receptions was so amazing , i ended up booking 2 extra nights. I highly recommend this hotel.

The staff showed Professionalism, Respect and courtesy. One staff member in particular whose name is Yisenia, who work on the afternoon shift was very well versed on the daily operations of the El Imperio Hotel. She was very professional in providing information that I was looking for. She was very courteous and cared about my stay at the hotel. The duration of the time I was there, she would always go above and beyound to asking me if there was anything that I needed. Based on her caring and gratitude for the guests, I was able to book another week at the holtel. In summary, I had a pleasant stay there the two times that I stayed there. Ilook forward to coming back and will definitely refer my relatives, business partners and friends to be guests at the El Imperio Hotel.

Buenismo hotel, mal lugar

Empezemos por lo positivo: El servicio al cliente es muy bueno. Diria que es insuperable, cada staff fue atento y muy colaborativo dado su personalidad, desde la cocinera, la recepcionista, pasando por mantenimiento y los porteros de seguridad. Se portaron muy bien conmigo, dandome consejos utiles y escuchando mis peticiones. La habitacion era grande y limpia, con aire acondicionado, caja fuerte y muebles para poner mi ropa, tambien con espejos y un sofa pequeno. Tambien esta cerca de una zona decente o buena donde esta el supermercado "Iberia" recomendado (a la izquierda del hotel, cuidad con la derecha). Ahora viene lo negativo: desafortunadamente el hotel esta un zona dificil, en mi opinion. Se llama Friusa, es una zona humilde en la que un extranjero destaca mucho. Lo bueno es que hay mucha moto que te puede llevar a la playa, especialmente cerca de la gasolinera (o "bomba" como lo llaman ellos). Hay otra zona mucho peor llamada el Hoyo. Recomiendo no ir por ahi, especialmente de noche. Desafortunamente tiene gente con la que no te gustaria juntarte.
El hotel es bonito, lo unico que la zona es humilde, hay perros inofensivos por ejemplo
El barrio de Friusa, donde esta la gasolinera o "bomba", alli puedes coger una moto a la playa (es barato). Cuidado con ir a la derecha, donde esta el barrio del Hoyo, no es recomendable ese barrio, ni para visitar
