This place is neither in the city of La Romana nor near the beach. You will need your own transportation or a taxi to get there. The place is not that easy to find, so if you are arriving at night, count on getting lost. I compare this place to a beautiful woman whose beautify is only outwardly. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the rooms are lacking, beds that have seen better days, non existant furniture and a bathroom that is too spacious for no apparent reason. The AC was not working properly and the wifi was spotty at best. We had a couple of maintenance issues when we were there, however, the staff did not seem to care much. As a matter of fact I don't think the staff cared at all, breakfast is not something that you would write home about, or any place for that matter. Eggs cooked to order, bread or cereal and that is about it. On the second day there we were there we were served spoiled milk, we were blessed that we didn't get sick. The attitude of the lady who gave us the milk made the experience bearable (she was very sorry and apologetic) The pool was dirty and had inconvenient hours. Having said all that, the question is: would I stay here again? Yes! I loved the quietness of the place, I would stay here again but remember, the price you pay is at par with the service you will receive. You will like the hotel grounds they beautiful. If and when I come back, I will with 0 expectations. and you should too. Things to consider if you decide to come: Transportation, place is in the middle of no where, bug spray lots and lots of bugs, maybe bring your own bed sheets as the ones they provided were very thin. Eat out, don't think the food is worth it nor is the service at the restaurant. I give this place a solid C- ( low, but a passing grade).
Really quiet place, ideal for a relaxing weekend with company or if you wish to hide from the world this mis the place, good news if you miss glamour and nice places Casa de Campo is 10 minute ride you can go to the los Altos de Chavon a replica for a Roman Village you will love it, and take a drink or a dessert in the Marina. Nice place good restaurants and boutiques, even a cinema. A small city with all amenities and facilities. Back to the hotel, has a SPA small swimming pool, really nice people take care of you, one issue if you want to go out cab could be expensive, take in count...
I came for an overnight stay at the hotel and found it to be a beautiful property with great front desk service and everything you need for all short stay. I would recommend it for business travelers, as it isn't within walking distance of any attractions. It is also good for people going to events in Altos de Chavon. Rooms are spacious and easily accessible, but the furniture is sparse and in need of a refit. I found that maintenance needs to be spruced up as my room's thermostat was broken and the bedside tables' lamps had bulbs in different hues, which is unpleasant. The hotel does have a restaurant with a reasonable selection and they offer a break buffet. The service at the restaurant is not up to par though. Friendly, but slow and orders get mixed up. All in all, I do recommend the hotel for short stays if you are in a the area.
The hotel is clean, bedroom were comfy, the people are nice but it is not in Bayahibe as advertised and in the middle of nowhere between Romana and Bayahibe whichs makes it totally distance from restaurants, beaches and night live. Again is nice to stay and rest not to have a fun weekend get away. .
I was there this weekend with some friends and some bad things happened. Let me start with the good things: I loved the views, be in contact with the nature the food at El Caracol Restaurant was Top of Tops. We were not addressed to our room after the check in, Tv did not work, rooms look like old and not well maintained and Staff Service is really but really terrible. Overall, I would never go back!.
The hotel is more like an crash in place to rest before continuing a road trip the next day, nice pool area to relax. The breakfast was good, the room is an simple bedroom but it is nice and cozy... I mean one night or two night crashing in is fine but not to stay for long if your purpose is vacationing in the DR. Its location is 1hr and 30min car ride from the capital or PuntaCana... The service is very attentive as well👌🏻👍🏻👌🏻👍🏻👌🏻
I hate to give a bad review but this hotel just needs to get a few things ironed out. First of all, the building in front of my room in being constructed, right in front of my door there is a well, there is limited wi-fi and cable tv. I asked for an extra pillow, and they didn't have any. Otherwise, it it fine, breakfast was ok, the room is clean, yet in my opinion a very uncomfortable (hard mattress) bed. Once they get all of these things worked out, it should be fine.
This is a nice surprise in this area. Small hotel just off highway to Punta Cana and a few miles from La Romana airport. This hotel is very quiet ultra clean, safe and confortable. Rooms are well appointed, AC is good flat screen TV and free WIFI. Nice pool and large lawn area. Restaurant on site which has good wood fire pizza, fresh breakfast served. Also has a small spa on premises. Casa de Campo is roughly 10 minutes away and about 15 mins from Bayahibe beach. Good value if in the area and not looking to be right on the beach for value conscious tourism. La Romana city center is about 20 mins away.
Is very nice and romantic hotel I love it, the restaurant is ok I could understand the waitress milly she is very classless. Food is good, staff is fine you should rent a vehiculos cuz is far from avrything. The owner is very nice guy.
It's an amazing hotel and the staff is super , starting from the hotel manager Raffy till the gardener ... It's worth it the visit and the stayed , free shuttles to the beach, close to the airport , rooms remodeled , food is great...... Thumbs up!!!!
