We liked it a lot but not loved it because of the following reasons: - there was only one main bar in the evening to hang out in and because they don’t have a stage for entertainment in another area, it’s loud! Would not recommend or return… The first I was ready to leave. Arrival/Check-In was somewhat easy and no problems. After that, a COMPLETE MESS from the shuttle to the room itself, the amenities/restaurants being available after 5pm, the food options and reservations that have to be made 24 hours in advance (with your room # that's not available until check-in) so day one no reservations possible. The air conditioning in the room nor telephones to contact the front desk were operable after drop off. I'm telling you do not book here! I had an item in a plastic bag on the sink, thrown away by housekeeping (must have been mistaken for trash) My expectations were low and this resort still underdelivered. I'll never come back to the DR bc of this place, staff and horrible service. Ugh! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Do not stay here!

The swim up bar staff was amazing! Ishmeal made sure our drinks were full and we were taken care of. The cleaning staff lacked and we did have to call maintenace for a leak and a/c issue.

I’ve been to the DR five times and stayed at this resort in 2019, which I loved. This trip was the complete opposite. Check-in took over 30 minutes with no organization and guests cutting the line while staff did nothing. My room was filled with flies from the moment I arrived—I killed over 20 during my stay. I called for help on day three and was told someone would come, but no one ever did. I ended up with more than 15 mosquito bites from being in my room and couldn’t sleep from the itching. Most staff members were unfriendly and acted annoyed when I asked simple questions. Trolley drivers repeatedly passed me even when they had space, and one even told me “nope” after I said I was going to my room. The food was the worst I’ve had at a resort, though the drinks were fine. On Thanksgiving, the Wi-Fi in my room didn’t work at all, and I had to use my phone data and pay extra. It barely worked at the pools but was completely unusable in the room. The “relaxing pool” was also poorly regulated, with guests playing loud music from speakers all day. I returned because I had an amazing stay in 2019, but the quality has declined drastically. This was supposed to be a relaxing solo trip, and instead it was stressful, uncomfortable, and disappointing. I would not return based on this experience.
