The restaurant staff need some training. When customers enter the restaurant, no one greets them, and sometimes even after being seated for a long time, there are no utensils provided. This happens every day. Some of the staff are also unfriendly, and when you ask them for something, they respond with impatience.

Staff was good, very attractive, rooms were cleaned daily, the rooms should come with mosquito repellent, breakfast was great many many options, we kept missing the hash browns had them one day and never got them again, they were good, never used the spa. The resort was a decent stay

There were two main issues we faced. We were scheduled an appointment with concierge to go over resort facilities. It turned out to be a high pressure sales pitch for membership for holiday club. On top of that the manager was rude when we decided not to spend more time listening to the sales pitch. The other issue was extra charge we had to pay. We were rudely told that our booking was only for two when we were a party of three. We paid extra for the third person assuming that we will have extra bed. But one of us had to sleep on a sofa, because no extra bed was provided. On top of that the bedsheets had a moldy smell.

Stayed at Grand Bavaro Princess at the end of November 2025. We ended up upgrading to Platinum, and ended up with a honeymoon suite. The bed was not great (round), and I would have targeted just a plain king. Room location was in the 5500 block, so proximity to the beach was amazing. We ate breakfast nearly every day at PBG - which I could have eaten at for breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. Food variety was good. Beach was beautiful. Environment was fairly quiet, which is what we prefer, so no complaints. Javier was awesome and helped us get reservations to our preferred restaurants with ease. Had an excellent waitress when we had dinner at the Mexican restaurant - she even offered and joined us in mamajuana shots. Liked listening to live music when we could, didn’t really partake in any of the entertainment aside from that. Would go back again for sure.

Upon arrival staff very attentive & friendly. Room was very spacious, could have been more cleaner. My only situation was the toilet, first night toilet would not flush. Staff fixed it right away. On my last night toilet flooded the bathroom. I had to wait for 3 hours for someone to fix the toilet & clean the bathroom. My best experience was the Spa, I did two days of a treatment, Carmen was phenomenal! Overall, I had a good stay with the exception of bathroom issues.

When we went to our room, it was not properly set up. Bedding things were missing and after cleaning staff came in to correct the issues, it was still missing a few issues. Also, not knowing that you have to stay in the resort for 24 hours before you can make reservation was a huge bummer.
