We will not be back to this property. The resort is WAY too big. You have to catch a "train" aka golf cart to get around and they do not run as often as they say they do. Also, the staff here for the most part was not very helpful or friendly. We got lied too about a "tour" of the grounds and was led into a time share spill, luckily the gentleman doing the spill understood and let us go after breakfast, the $70 free merchandise was a joke, could only be used in the one store in that lobby and was mostly snacks and stuff... Also the AC in ALL the restaurants is severely lacking...we sweated thru most meals. Our room was never quite cool enough and our frig did not work. Had to ask the Housekeeping staff EVERYDAY for wash cloths and then still had to call to get them (and we tipped housekeeping too) The beach was nasty but that was of no fault to the resort, just bad time to be there. We have been to Punta Cana over 8 times and stayed in different resorts, this was by far our least favorite.

This was one of the worst trips I have ever had. My allergies were flaring up due to the cat infestation surrounding the property. Thankfully, I had my medication with me; otherwise, I would have ended up in the hospital. This issue needs to be addressed, and overall, the property is quite old.

Very difficult to get reservations for restaurants. The Japanese restaurant smelled like a sewer and was nearly inedible. Buffet was fine but it was hard to get drink service. Rooms were clean and big.

It would be great if management could consider offering some flexibility or partial refunds when guests have to miss nights due to unforeseen circumstances. Guests aren’t just paying for the room, but also the overall experience, food, and amenities so a little accommodation in these situations would go a long way.

BEWARE !!!! This property was the worse I ever been to. Upon arrival, we were told to wait for the room which we were told we were gonna have to pay an extra fee for a room upgrade or we were gonna have to wait longer than we already have to get assigned a room. Which we had to do to being exhausted that caused an extra $120. The property is very outdated , Most staff are very rude and unaccommodating. The golf carts to take you around the property take forever & drop you off at wrong locations and the room and restaurants were filled with roaches. When going to one of the restaurants Maiko the hostess was disgusting , It stinks of dirty mop water and they were dropping cooking utensils and silverware on the floor and still using them. This is the worst resort I’ve ever been to and I would not recommend or be back to this disgusting rude low class dirty property and the crawling friends that they did not fumigate like they said they would. It was miserable.

The place was very clean. There was no major flaws in the room itself. Air conditioner was good a problem with the hot water, but nothing crazy place is really big and they do have some restrictions depending on which resort that you pick within the bigger area very hard to get reservations for the restaurant And then you have to be careful once you get one you’ll get a menu but then if you want extra stuff like a steak or lobster, they’re gonna charge you extra and it was overpriced staff was super friendly, and the buffet was pretty good. Overall was a good experience. Had a great time.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. From the front desk receptionists to the waiters, everyone was curtious and friendly The resort offers a wide variety of restaurants serving mouth-watering dishes. The buffet options were impressive, and the à la carte restaurants were exceptional. My junior suite was spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed. The resort offers a range of activities, including water sports, and live entertainment.

The resort is attached to a bunch of other resorts. When you book your restaurants, some of them have children, so you are thinking you are doing adult only, but you are really not. Also, we found blood on our bedsheets. None of the restaurants had air conditioning. The only thing that had AC was in our hotel rooms. Everything is extremely spread apart and you have to take golf carts to get everywhere, but the wait time for them could be pretty lengthy at times. There are solicitors throughout the hotel. The bartenders and entertainers were great.

Letter to property: Dr. Christy Thompson Room 80201 Bahia Principe Luxury Aquamarine August 25, 2025 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction and concern regarding an incident that occurred during my stay at your resort—specifically at the Hibachi restaurant on the evening of August 25,2025. I have a diagnosed medical condition that requires me to eat in small portions—specifically no more than 4 ounces at a time. Last evening, I attended dinner at the Hibachi restaurant and was only able to take two small bites of my meal before needing to stop eating. As I have done at many reputable establishments around the world, I requested to take the remaining food to my room so that I could eat it in intervals, in accordance with my health needs. To my surprise and dismay, both the supervisor and the manager on duty refused my request—despite my clear explanation of my medical condition—and they ultimately disposed of my food. This treatment was not only inconsiderate, but frankly, appalling. It lacked basic human compassion and awareness of accessibility and medical needs. Furthermore, this resort is marketed as “all-inclusive,” which typically implies food and drink services without extra charges, including room service. Nowhere on your website or booking confirmation was it made clear that room service incurs additional charges or that guests cannot take their food with them from restaurants.
