Finishings in the room were not done well, sloppy painting, use of cheap ply wood or MDF in the ceiling areas installed not well. The cheap wood generated really unpleasant smells so I left the suite door and washroom door open to try to dissipate the smell however the seating area of the suite was musty smelling and leaving all the doors open lead to a mosquito coming to bite me in my sleep 4 bites. The sheets weren't clean they had hair on them pillow cases had hair on them, water stains all over the towel holders and faucets indicating they weren't cleaned properly. When I asked for new sheets the house keeper came in with their shoes on, no booties and walked across the whole area bringing in whatever was on their shoes. At breakfast the cooks and servers were coughing into the buffet food, obviously not on purpose but definitely not good hygiene. Though I noticed the other guests doing the same thing so maybe this is a cultural thing in Pune. Anyways I struggled to see how this place is a 5 star establishment, maybe there's a different scale in Pune. The level of eagerness to serve seemed ok but I expect high levels of cleanliness in a 5 star establishment.
