The hotel is very friendly and clean and the staff are very helpful. I did feel with reading other views, people should have spoken to reception especially with sun beds and items not replenished in rooms as I feel the problems would have been solved, although there were not always enough umbrellas 😓. Plenty of walks around which are very picturesque and there is a tour of pula which is free except for the bus fare which was only 22kn return each which is less than £3 and the tour was very interesting; Also look at the activities board or ask Lana who was the most helpful to us . The food is what you expect from a buffet, very nice but you do need a change , so I would recommend a meal out . Lovely breakfast. There is no real entertainment, although occasionally some on the terrace outside but this suited us . Would definitely come back
The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful. The beach was nice and the pool was incredible. The menu was also fine. The recomended food was very delicious and the coctail bar was great.
We arrived at the Arena and were checked in very quickly. The lift to the 3rd floor was very quick and quiet. Our room was very smart, clean with very comfortable twin beds, on the small side as was the wardrobe space. The bathroom was modern with a great shower complete with everything you need although towels were a little on the small size. The balcony was a good size with table and chairs. The rest of the hotel and grounds are very clean and smart and situated in a very beautiful spot. The food at both breakfast and dinner was very nice, lots of choice, the waiting staff are very pleasant and work very hard but I think they need more bar staff as there were long waits for drinks. We enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it. At first I wasn’t happy with the room (jet 2 holiday company’s fault as their advertising states ‘ room with park side view’, when it should read room with car park view), this shouldn’t put people off because the view is also of pine trees and really quiet. Definitely would return!
stayed here for 10 days in mid june this year, first impression was ok reception seemed fine .Room on the small side but balcony nice looking towards the water but no place to hang wet swim things on balcony. Room had kettle, tea,.coffee, cups but no water. Croatian rep had said probably best to only drink bottled water, even if we had one bottle on first day. From second day onwards we had the question , will the tea or coffee be replaced today, will we have the shower gel replaced , most days not, did we get two bath towels today . Which means me going to reception day after day to ask for these. Room was never cleaned , ie hoovered, bed never made correctly .Sheets only changed once during 10 days. Worst of all toilet only cleaned once. Given all that it was clear that it was very clear that one lady was never going to clean all rooms correctly in time aloud. Outside pool was small with lack of beds , only available if you got up before the Germans (do they ever sleep) .At weekend locals riding motor bikes round the footpath to the beach . If your staying here remember your 15/20 minutes to Paula although the bus service is very good . Most of the faults could have been corrected by management ???, so sorry to say will not be returning .PS JET2 were very good at all levels but let down by this hotel
Hotel is nice furnitured, staff is perfect educated, food is delicious, hygiene is high, servis is excellent. Beach is ideal for me, many rocks, clean and clear water, shadow of pine trees. If you likde gradual entrance into the sea not to go there :-)
We were a family group going sailing. We spent one night at Park Plaza Arena Pula. The hotel is very nicely located in a park just a few hundred meters from two other hotels in the same chain. There are less than hundred meters from the hotel to the beach. Food is fine, a la carte recommended but also buffet is an option. Very friendly and service minded staff.
The hotel has everything you need, such as a big pool, spa, restaurant and bar with alright food and nice cocktails. They charge extra for using the training facilities and the spa area, I think this should be included in the price. Our room was nice, but smaller than we’re used to, leaving not a big place for things, but it works for a small period such as a week. The staff were mostly polite and helpful, with a few exceptions, like when the bartender told me to leave when I wanted to order a cocktail. The hotel has a dress code, and it’s not okay to wear bathing clothes inside, so I was wearing a towel. I was a bit shocked over the bartenders apperance, but luckily one of his colleague heard this and talked to him. What service you got from the chefs in the kitchen during breakfast were depending on who’s working. One day it was no problem making french toast, (it was all gone) and another day I was told to just have some bread and toast it myself in the toaster. I truly feel things like this is ruining a bit of the good experience. All in all it’s a great hotel, with a very nice breakfast and very good service in the front desk, but the level of service is a bit shifty other places.
Had a great week here. Rooms were on the small side but ok. Walk in shower was super. Grounds and pool area were excellent. Difficult getting a sun bed at times. We were half board. Food was plentiful and varied. We encountered a few hiccups with bar service. At times only 1 barman serving 3 or 4 waiters as well as people sitting at the bar. With cocktails being assembled you can imagine the backlog in orders.
Booked a garden suite, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and lounge. Upper floor, has a continuous balcony with views of the gardens and the Adriatic beyond. Spotlessly clean, change of bedding a couple of times a week, new towels every day. The peninsula of Verudela is beautiful with plenty of paths for walking around the coast or through the pine trees. The breakfast at the hotel is worth paying for, as it sets you up for the day. The bar terrace in the evening is great for a relaxing end to the day. Pula is a 20 minute bus ride away, the bus stop is at the end of the hotel drive. A perfect break, thanks hotel Park Plaza Arena
