Vista Vallarta All Suites on the Beach

A wonderful find on a quiet beach with spacious suites. Suites include living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms. There is a large balcony that overlooks the ocean. Air conditioning and ceiling fans are in most rooms. Kitchen has full sized fridge, four burner gas stove top, microwave, blender, coffee maker, dishes and good quality cookware. Filtered water is available at a low cost. The facility is very clean, the staff are very helpful. English is available, however communication is much easier and fun in Spanish. The grounds are well maintained. There is a large pool with access to the bar under the palapa. Numerous beach chairs are placed along the pool, under shade facing the ocean and along the beach. The restaurant and shop area of Bucerias is about a 20 minute walk away. A bus (which we did not try) passes by the hotel with access to the restaurant and shop area.

Our suite was far more than expected - 2 beds/3 baths, full kitchen, living room, private good size balcony and spotlessly clean! The finishes are traditional Mexican (which we love). The staff and service was outstanding, the restaurant was really good and 2 for 1 Happy Hour daily from noon until 7pm. We stayed for two weeks and loved every minute. The walk into Bucerias on the beach takes about 20 minutes and is a beautiful walk. 30 mins drive to the quaint town of Sayulita and 20 mins to Nuevo Vallarta.

We originally planned to stay 2 days but it was so enjoyable that we stayed 5 days. The beachfront location is what you picture a vacation spot looks like, the staff is more than helpful and the upkeep is exemplary. The rooms are large with a kitchen and most open onto the beach. Unlike our day trip to Sayulita or downtown Bucerias beaches where there are vendors every minute, the beach at Vista Vallarta is empty and restful. Plus the pool is large with a swim-up bar that serves 2 for 1 drinks from noon until 6PM. The only drawback is it about a 20-30 minute walk to Bucerias but if you like exercise it is a pretty walk or a taxi is cheap.

Our 'suite' was way more than a suite with 2 and a half baths, two bedrooms, living room and kitchen and a huge veranda with table and chairs; plus we really did have an ocean view, even though it wasn't promoted as such. The staff was friendly and very efficient, the pool clean and refreshing and the ocean/beach area, laid back and peaceful. We were approached by more relaxed Mexican's selling coconuts with straws and fresh mangos dipped in chili and lime than by the typical stream of pushy vendors (although I did buy an inexpensive mother of pearl ankle bracelet). The restaurant was adequate and convienent ( keep in mind though the hours were limited) instead, we took the short 10-15 minute walk into town each day. Vista Vallarta in Bucerias is lovely and we will definitely be back!

I guess after reading all these reviews I was expecting more; however, the whole experience could have been better... at a different property. You get what you pay for. Getting there: About a 35 minute drive in a rental, probably about hour and 15 mins on bus. Location: Away from touristy places which is fine for a family trip not looking to go out and party. The property: A little dated but fine, right on the beach. Old school key for your room and safe. The beach: Not kid friendly, water is NOt cristal clear, wave current constatly active. Kinda dissapointing. The staff: Carlos the evening clerk looked like he hated working there, the restaurant waitress was very serious too didnt smile much and the bar lady (older lady) look like she could really use a drink. The cleaning ladies on the other hand were wonderful, didnt mind tipping them well for that reason. Specially Susana. The restaurant: let's say I am 99% sure I got food poison from the burger I got there the last day, it looked disgusting but we were so hungry that we figured it'd be okay. The fries were dipped in a thick layer of grease. I highly regret ordering food from this place. We went into the wrong building the first day by accident and a worker followed us when we realized we were in the wrong building he was right behind us asking if we were lost, it was very creepy. He was actually following us. I would def pick a different place if we were to go back to Puerto Vallarta.

Spacious suites, lovely pool, perfect beach. The hotel is close to the highway so some of the back rooms get some noise, but the front rooms, balconies, pool, palapa bar and beach are wonderful. The rooms aren't posh, but sturdy and well equipped, and every suite has a lovely view. Our suite had a laundry room too which was great for wet towels and swimsuits The food is mostly good. Breakfast can sometimes be a little shaky if you prefer an American style breakfast. And although they say the café opens at 9:00, it usually isn't open until a little later. No problem to stock up on coffee etc. and do breakfast in your own suite, which is what most guests do. Nescafe is standard for coffee unless you specifically ask for something else, the toast is not very tasty, and you have to ask for butter. Hotcakes don't come with syrup unless you ask (and sometimes they can't find it). Eggs are good though! and bacon. Other offerings like fish tacos, guacamole, salsa, hamburgers are all great. The bartender does WONDERFUL margaritas and she's a lovely person. The staff are all kind and eager to help. We traveled with a 9 yr old child and she was in pool or ocean about 12 hours a day. Lots of families staying there with babies and kids and seniors. Jut the sort of place we hoped for. Easy walk along the beach or by the back streets to the village for evening meal, and lots of choice there. Beachfront places serve nice fish meals and your kids can frolic in the surf right in front of you. Memorable walk at sunset back home along the beach. Miss it already.

Big and spacious. two bedrooms living room and kitchen. cool breeze off the ocean meant we only needed to kick on the A/C for sleeping. This is a well kept secret... we will definitely come back next time we visit Nayarit! full service kitchen with 24 hour room service!

I was able to book the last room available for my trip. great space for the price. I was very surprised at the size of the room(s). The pool is great, and the beach is very quiet. The grounds are very well left, and the staff is probably the most friendly staff of any hotel I've been to recently. The bar specials are awesome and cheap. The only downside is the rooms are noisy because of the roadway so close. For the price ($120 US) per night was a hell of a bargain for what you get

We stayed here in 2016 and loved the place and considered staying here long term once we were too old to travel around Mexico. The suites are large, a nice kitchen and several bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool is beautiful, as are the grounds. When we arrived they charge a 500 peso deposit, and we had to sign waivers sort of like going to a hospital - whether the waivers were in English, I can't remember. We were road weary and just wanted to get to the room. They apply a wristband, I assumed so that non-guests couldn't use the pool area. Well, after our last day at the pool we removed our wristbands and threw them away. When I checked out the next morning the front desk insisted on the return of the wristbands, which we couldn't find. That cost us 100 Pesos and cost the hotel our future visits. It seemed punitive, after all they're certainly not going to reissue the wristbands to new guests. One hundred pesos isn't all that much money but when we are checking out, what use is served penalizing with this parting shot? If you read my other reviews you won't find many if any comments as critical as this one.

The Vista Vallarta is a great choice in Bucerias on the beach for less than the fancy resorts in the area. If you don't need all inclusive then Vista Vallarta is worth a look. The staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating making for a very enjoyable stay.
