We stayed for 2 nights on a weekend. They provide good breakfast options at a reasonable price. The staff is very nice specially at the Rest. You have others good places to eat nearby so location is excellent. Beach front and a nice pool. I recommend it for a nice staying in Rincon.
We stayed here for our last two nights in PR. Absolutely stunning view. Very quiet. The pool was ideal and beach was literally right there. The staff was very accommodating and provided beach chairs for our use.
I never write reviews, but this place blew me away. For $180 a night, it's odd to arrive to an inn with no one at reception (no prior notification of this). Although there is an ice bucket in every room, the ice machine and water dispensary is apparently also located in the locked reception area so we had to go out and get some. The room was nice and clean, but not having a stopper in the sink allowed a live roach to roam around our bathroom. Then, no hot water the next morning! We told the receptionist and she shrugged off the roach incident by saying they did monthly exterminating and did not seem to care at all that we had that experience. It is fixable but they didn't listen. Put the stopper. Needless to say, we ended up leaving and will not be returning. All in all I expected better customer service.
This guest house have lovely rooms and facilities , the ambiance is very family type. I did not stayed there just visited some friends that this is their third stay and they love it they have 9 big rooms. My friends were using four of them for the week end. They serve informally the three meals of the day and snacks. They also have a full bar.
Clean room and well maintained each day. Our view was spectacular. Appreciated available beach towels to use around the pool. Lots of hot water and great pressure. The convenience of a restaurant on the property was a real plus. This was a perfect location for us since our son lives five minutes away. We will definitely be back!
I really loved my stay at Casa Isleña. It was everything I had hoped it would be, with one not-so-small caveat. My research had indicated that it had "free wi-fi", and that was important to me. However, the wi-fi covered only the dining area and (somewhat) the bar. I had no connection in my room or in the pool area. This should be fixed. It's not expensive to set up wi-fi connection for the whole (small) hotel, and people today expect it. I will certainly stay here again if this is fixed.
The staff at Casa Islena where amazing, the location is perfect, rooms are clean and air conditioned with refrigerators and and a microwave. There is a TV int he room with dish network. The rooms were cleaned every morning along with the rest of the property. The trade winds start to pick up around 9am but it cools you off very nicely while at the pool or on the beach. I highly, HIGHLY recommend casa islena it is just perfect, location, services, the bar and restaurant was amazing serving breakfast, lunch and drinks. Also live music on Tuesday nights and the bar is open until everyone decides to leave! Walk over to late night bars/restaurants also all beach front and just a ton of things to do surf, chill at the pool or beach etc etc. GO NOW!
After struggling with convenience traveling with a baby last year i booked this trip based off CONVENIENCE. I wanted everything on one spot and Casa Islena was everything we hoped for and more! Highly recommend room 254. Was amazing to sit on the balcony and watch the ocean while our toddler napped. Island House Restaurant downstairs has AMAZING reasonably priced breakfast. The inn provided a pack and play (your standard full sized Graco play yard) which was newer and very clean. Small fridge and microwave right in the room. Downstairs they turn on the coffee (free to guests) each morning at 7am! Convenience stores, coffee shops, stores everything you need is within a 5 minute drive. That being said you 100% need a car. Fly into Aguadilla not San Juan. 25 mins vs 2 hours. Flight times are wacky but it is what it is. My husband was able to surf right out front while i sat at the pool with the baby monitor while my daughter slept. Then when he was done we swapped and i went and did Yoga right next door at Barefoot Yoga. THAT you cannot beat! Can't say enough good things about this place! We will be back!
If you've been to Puerto Rico, know what it's like, and want a wonderful place on the beach, this is as good as it gets (and in my experience, better). The rooms are large, comfortable, and airy. The staff are friendly and you can get breakfast and lunch on-site. The Tambo restaurant and bar is a short walk away and the Red Flamboyan is less than a mile away (but partly up a hill), and may be the best restaurant in the area. Rooms have a small refrigerator. Unless you want an interesting but hilly drive, come in on Rt. 412 from Rt. 2 and go thru town to get there. You can walk for miles on the beach, but remember this is more of a surfing than a swimming area.
We were here for a week and loved it. Everything was so convenient. The restaurant has great food, the pool is great, there is yoga or massage across the way and an ongoing spectacular surf show every day! There were four of us so we had two rooms, which were clean and comfortable. We would have loved the rooms with the ocean view but were were very happy with our choice.
