It was our second time to visit the last time was Dec 2015. It was nice that we stayed in a newly renovated room ;-) but they still need to do a lot of maintenance especially with the pool algae all over, showers aren’t working and a lot of cracks on the sides where you walk that if you accidentally step on them it can cut your feet but the service still great! The menu in the restaurant still the same. On our second day I wasn’t feeling well and I want to take a nap but I heard a lot of noises in the next room, I called the front desk but she said that we are the only one checked in at the building so I walked out and check it out and I saw 4 staff came out of the room laughing so hard but they are not the house keeping staff but anyway another thing was when we went to the spa. Three of us will have the massage, we went in the room and the therapist asked as to undress but they never leave the room 3 of them watching us getting undress and same thing after the massage they never left the room and watched us get dressed. Massage is good though but still they have to give their clients some privacy, they did massage our faces and head with oil and they didn’t even bother giving us towels to wipe the oil off or even offer a glass of water. The service at the spa was totally different when I visited in 2015. I only saw two bikes but also not in a good shape anymore. Good thing that the staff is so accommodating. I hope you will continue doing a good maintenance in the resort. Fix the bridges and the huts by the mangroves. But probably will still come back and hoping that the place will look so much better on our next visit!
Unreal spot to lounge and kick back, the food was wonderful and the views were even better. Some hot spicy thai food along with a great view equals, an amazing weekend the phillipines. I can't wait to go back
Wow for a start and what an amazing place to stay for a relaxing time while on the trip. Really feel as if your really alone and on the ocean miles from any one. The food was amazing and the staff so helpful. The rooms set up was amazing and so much to do you don't need to go ashore for anything. Beautiful sunset and beautiful land. I really didn't want to leave and the 2 nights wasn't enough but I am sure will go again. Boat crew where just helpful and the reception when arrived was brilliant and helpful. You must see this.
We spent 2 nights at this resort and would not recommend it for overnight stays. The island/beach is absolutely beautiful and the salt water pool is great but that's where it ends. The food is abysmal, the service is severely lacking (though staff are nice. However in the Philippines, this is not something special), the rooms are old with ants crawling all over, toilets that do not flush properly, etc. Breakfast was terrible with little choice, strange tasting items, chefs couldn't cook an omelette properly or even boil an egg correctly. We were truly disappointed. If the management worked on service and the food, this place would be really amazing.
I have visited with my family for all day. lovely small island for snorkling, swimming and relaxing under palm trees. the team in the island are very nice. very recommended for who are coming to Puerto Princcesa and Palawan.
What a beautiful resort. Great views rolling hills amazing grace breathtaking sunsets and extremely generous service make DOs Palmos a must visit. the island tour is a definite let's go see it. Remember to bring dive shoes along- the sand Can be quite Poky. Thank you Glen for the friendly chaperon 😊🌝
Our family was satisfied with our 2-night stay at Dos Palmas, our first stop in Palawan. Stay was relaxing esp on our first night. I cant say the same one the 2nd day when a swarm of noisy mainland Chinese arrived at the resort. We will stay here again on our next visit to PP if only they will renovate the villas and ensure that they are immaculately clean before check-in.
We had a very relaxing 3 night stay at this island resort. The resort is the only thing on the island and it requires an hour boat ride to get to. It is truly an island paradise. The staff was extremely friendly and the food and drink was good. The resort had a nice beach including an off-shore snorkeling platform and a fantastic saltwater pool. The resort had a nice spa and we had a great massage. Our beach side villa was in need of a make-over. The room was large but dreary and the bathroom run-down. We saw that the resort was in the process of updating the villas, several at a time. We would definitely return after the villa renovations are completed and would have given it an excellent rating but for the villa.
Where to begin, our shuttle bus picked us up from Puerto Princesa airport and shuttled us to the office and we had an hour to look around the mall next door. Before boarding we were approached by several vendors at the harbour. When arriving at Dos palmas we were greeted with necklaces and a fruit juice and drums, the Island looked stunning. We did our home work on this resort and watched several YouTube videos, so we had some idea of what to expect. However we were blown away with the staff and hospitality team, these guys would do anything you asked of them and more, absolutely outstanding. From the moment you step onto the island till you board the boat ride back to the harbour, these guys are constantly there to make your stay memorable, which for us and especially my kids will remember for a very long time. The resort itself is designed to make you relax and just forget about work and everything else, we certainly relaxed and the general manager Andrew, was absolutely accommodating and helpful( helpful) was still underrated. Anything we needed Andrew made sure we received it, he went above and beyond his job role. He also recommended scuba diving which both my wife and I will never forget, this is a must if your here. The pool staff was absolutely out of this world with the attention they paid to our 3 kids, they entertained and was so so friendly, they made our holiday, Ryan, Harvey and Carlos at the pool side was all amazing and our kids still go on about them now we’re home. I recommend the island hopping tour and the private dinner on the beach, again amazing service by mond our waiter and the food was incredible. The resort really felt like we were the only ones there really, we pretty much had the pool to ourselves and the island really. If your looking for a reset, relaxing and being spoilt then Dos Palmas is the place, simple paradise! We’re already looking to book our holiday there in few months. Thank you guys and see you all soon.
Beautiful resort. View are awesome boat ride is great. Staff very respectful and polite. The accommodation is good except needs fixing. Villas are quite old needs some work. Swimming pool is so nice. Sunset spectacular. Breakfast is good too. Food taste ok.
