We had a great time at this resort. Everyone was very helpful. Julissa was exceptional in handling our every needs. Michael the bartender took excellent care of us and introducing us to new cocktails.
My stay at Presidential Suites Cabarete All Inclusive was lovely, very positive experience. I stayed during the low season, so the resort was nearly empty. This is a relatively small resort so don’t expect a lot of entertainment on site, although the management does its best inviting local musical groups for the daytime concert at the pool or night time music sessions at the restaurant. Pros. The staff hostess (animadora) Lisbeth Diaz did all possible to entertain us during the day with games and competitions. If you up for dancing and louder music you can walk down the beach 2-5 min for the neighboring bars. Food is very good with one 2nd floor restaurant and 1st floor buffet. Some breakfasts were à la carte, some just buffet. Waiters’ attitude was beyond expectations, they were doing their best trying guess in advance all our needs. The beach is good and clean although not big. The beach is all sand, if you up for snorkeling you can swim for 50 m for the coral reef. If you go in for windsurfing or kiting this is place to go! At the neighbor renting house you can rent windsurfing equipment for $25/h or $45/half day and enjoy to your heart's content. Wind starts after 1pm. Cons. They don’t have good wines in the restaurants so better bring your own or purchase at the local store. If you stay at the roadside building with apartments you may hear car noise especially during the day, although I didn’t hang out in the room, so for me it wasn’t a problem. At night time there are no many cars passing by so it’s not noisy. It’s very likely that I am coming back to this resort.
I was really confused when I read the different reviews on here about what this place was about. The Presidential Suites are on one side of the street (not the ocean side) and the Imperial was across the street. Anybody that is in the timeshare stays on the Presentential side and if you are doing the all inclusive you are on the Imperial side - all rooms are oceanview. Our room was 6308 which was the furthest away from the street. Our room to put it simply was stunning. It was a one bedroom brand new suite. It had everything you can imagine if you had a apartment. Walk in closet, all dishes etc. Not sure what the point of the suite is when you have a all inclusive but it was gorgeous. Some things to point out. The bed was very firm - I loved it my partner not so much. The sheets and pillows were great. We had two walk out patio doors one from the bedroom and one from the livingroom although it was one big balcony that had a beautiful chair to lounge in. The bedroom also had a sliding door that locked for extra security which was nice. Some things you would have to get used to - you cannot throw any toilet paper in the toilet, they provide a garbage can right in front of the toilet for the paper. The resort is on a very busy street HOWEVER, they have two guards to help you cross AND they have a bridge that connect on the third floor, so whoever complained about the busy street you can easily cross. The resort is not typical of a all inclusive, it is more like a hotel. The pool and bar is not busy so we never had any wait to get service. The service was actually excellent, they catered to our every whim. The food was beyond the typical all inclusive, many of the meals were al la carte which were simply delicious. I wasn't happy with the breakfast but that is my taste buds :-). A few things to help the resort better - a. No bands that go on until 11:00 at night regardless that its a Saturday night. We are not partiers and they literally kept the whole resort up as there was no escaping the noise of the band. Staff - They start shouting back and forth at each other in the pool area starting at 8 am. Remember every room faces the pool and ocean so the yelling and joking at that time was not appreciated when you are trying to sleep. Maid came to early and banged on the door. The sign kept blowing off so she bugged us twice a day. Some people would enjoy that we did not. Maids are talking loudly in the hallways early, they don't realize how much we can hear them. Very stingy with the towels, two towels to a room. I called about 4-5 times asking for extra towels, sometimes they showed up and sometimes not. I was upset that the gym was not open, its supposed to open within a week so we had to take a taxi to and from a local gym. This was very disappointing to us because we do workout 6 days a week whether we are on vacation or not. When I booked the vacation it said they had a gym and it was closed. We did a tour of the gym though and everything was brand new so it will be a nice little gym. It also showed on a sign they were selling memberships which in my opinion will make this gym very crowded if the locals are using it. The internet was fast however it was stupid expensive. Between the safe and having 3 devices for our room it cost $250.00 or so dollars. All in all though we had a great time, probably one of the best resorts we have been to and we are planning on going back in December. If anyone has questions let me know.
Traveling for our first time to Cabarete. The resort is small as it’s still under construction, but the beach is only 5 steps from our backdoor. The pool only 2 steps away. It feels like we are at home. The entertainers, Lisbeth and Kiko are funny, open, and amazing dancers!! We had almost the same staff every day, which allowed us to become more comfortable them and viceversa. The waiters Sergio, Johnser, Jensi and the entire team was professional, hardworking, kind to the guest, open minded and as friendly as could be. We leave with a tan, a hangover and a few new friends 😊
Presidential Suites exceeded our expectations. It was super clean, food was excellent, entertainment was great. Perfect place for couples to relax. Lisbeth Diaz, Yensi Martinez and Luis Marte were fantastic and helped make the place very welcoming. We will definitely visit again.
The resort is still in construction stages with concrete work hindering your movement around the resort. If don't use the bridge to access the restaurants and VIP area you are taking you life in your own hands trying to cross the street, although security tries to stop traffic for you to cross the locals mostly seemed to play, run over the tourist when crossing the street. The beds are very uncomfortable, so thank god for the all inclusive liquor to dull the daily pain after a horrible nights sleep. Lastly, upon transport from Puerto Plata back to Cabrete on a timeshare presentation the lifestyle employee became angry once I stated that I wouldn't purchase at this resort. He made several telephone calls and had the cab driver pull over to the side of the road requesting for someone to meet him. This didn't make tourist visiting this island for the first time feel safe.
This has been one of the best trips i have had this year thanks to 3 awesome people i got the chance to meet jensi (mosquito), lisbeth and andres (kiki). Thank you you guys so much cant wait to return.
We booked last minute to stay for 2 nights and ended up staying 6 - it was very good value for all inclusive but what made it for us was the staff - They were attentive and great fun and gave us great service - especially Lisbeth, Jensi and Andreas from the entertainment team who were always smiling and the great restaurant and bar staff (Sergio, Melvin, Guillerme, Silvia + many more) with their delicious espresso martinis - and my lovely server who brought me coffee and soda water every morning without me having to ask after just one day - im ashamed i didnt get his name! Rooms were clean and comfortable and serviced every day - pools were super clean and beach was lovely. Thanks for a memorable visit to Cabarete - hopefully we will be back soon!
As my first time going to the Dominican republic for my birthday weekend, I have to say staying at this hotel was really cool! Our rooms were great, very neat and clean and detailed! The only small issue I had was the variety of food. But other than that, everything was great, i had such an amazing time! The staff there were super nice, caring, and a whole lot of fun! Three of them stand out to me which were Jensi(moskito), Lizbeth, and Andres(kiko). Thanks to them they have made my trip experience 10x better! They were awesome ! I would definitely go back to this resort .
I had an amazing time at the hotel thanks to the animadores at hotel jensi(mosquito, Lisbeth, and andres(Kiki). They made our experience incredible and fun with all of the activities. It was an unforgettable experience. I can’t wait to go back.
