If you're a kiteboarder, this is the place to go. It's clean, the hotel staff is nice, gated parking, excellent breakfast, and quiet. Highly recommend!

The hotel was below average. The room I had stayed in has paint peeling off and the A/C barely worked. Food was bland and nothing to do on site aside from swimming in a tiny pool that needs to be updated. Bottom line I would not go back there.

Generally, I had a good experience at this hotel. if it weren't for a couple of issues, my rating would have been significantly higher. I was part of a group that had rooms in both the new and the old buildings. The new building is generally much nicer, but for some reason doesn't have wi-fi. One of the rooms had an unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom that didn't go away for a few days. And while the hotel is directly on kite beach, it was a little farther from Cabarete beach than we expected. Most of the staff were very nice and friendly. Except for the unexplained odor, everything was very clean and well kept.

The rooms were decent. Had an issue with the toilet in the first room I was given but the staff changed my room immediately! Also, the cable television never worked the entire stay. Breakfast was included and good. Would I recommend it? Maybe.

upgrade to one bedroom . when we arrived there , we decided not to upgrade , but they dont do refund. wont stay next time. it is only location good for kiteboarding ppl.

The room we originally booked was not up to any star hotel rating. So we paid extra for room upgrade and they put us into a two bedroom ocean front condo which we paid $168 more, the AC didnt work and we told the staff and they told us it takes time to get cold so we waited and waited and nothing happen except for fans to cool down the room! The door lock was broken and we told the staff and they give us new key and same problem where we had to twist twist and twist for few mins until the unlocking start to function! Free breakfast but besides cereals there were toast and some spam and cheese! great city but will not ever stay here again!

Amazing place for kite surfers! we were here for 10 days and the wind never died!

I chose this hotel because it was the least expensive that I could find for the area that I needed to be in. At first the a/c was not working. So they put me in another room until they could fix the a/c. They told me that the last person in the room didn't complain about the a/c. The bed, the lamps, the nightstands, the entrance door, and the bathroom needed to be changed--very worn out and unkempt. There was not even a chair in the room to sit on. No phone in the room either. I was charged 110 pesos for a 40 pesos bottle of water.

Stayed for 6 nights with four people. We got a great deal and didn't expect much. The hotel met and/or exceeded our expectations. The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating. The grounds are kept and we felt pretty safe at the hotel. The breakfast included fresh fruit and was better than expected. I will however add that the lights, fridge and tv were not working in both rooms when we got there. Although we weren't really using the lights and it didn't bother us, it would have been great if they had checked these items as a basic courtesy before our arrival.

Even though some of the rooms of the hotel was a little beaten up, I had a great time. The lobby and grounds though are well-kept and it is certainly right on the beach! There are two buildings and I moved from the new building to the old building with a better view the second night. The room I stayed in most of the time was smaller, but with a nice balcony. It needed some fixing up - the faucet dripped, the shower curtain was ripped, the door to the balcony was a bit rusty and the cabinets/drawers stuck. But it was clean and there was hot water. The environment and vibe of the hotel is great. The food was good and inexpensive (even though it cost a little bit more than more local places). The area is right on kite beach, in between two kiteboarding schools and hotels. Most people were kiting, I instead did some training with a MMA fighter at the gym next door. But people were friendly and you could walk along the beach about two miles to Cabarete Village. It was nice to actually be a little bit away from the village proper. It was quieter at night. Depends on what you want. The staff was super helpful and nice. [...] manages and does reservations. She is helpful and friendly always. [...], [...] and others who work at the bar/restaurant are always nice and fun to talk to. There are also more permanent guests who have bought condos in the complex who are really nice and have great suggestions on places to go out to or things to do in the area.

Enjoy the beach on town, the one on front of the Hotel is use for kite sport fans. The Deluxe room in [...], were not deluxe. We have to paid on front desk for an upgrade and the upgraded room was a small studio and the air conditioning did not work as expected. After talking with the front desk they showed different rooms and they offered next door room with nice A/C and a living room. Cabarete is way better than Santiago or Boca Chica in Santo Domingo. My partner and I enjoy the people, the party, and the dancing a lot. We are planing to go back.

We stayed at the hotel the middle of May and we almost had the place to ourselves. It was very relaxing and quiet. The breakfast was good with great omelets! The owner was very accomodating. She let us keep our room a few extra hours after checkout and gave us a room with a great beach view that we weren't expecting when we arrived. It's a realitively small complex and is about a 2 mile walk down the beach to the restaurants and shops of Cabarete.

Great location to go kiteboarding, amazing little hotel on the beach, very friendly staff and great people staying there.

We went to Cabarete to take advantage of the great kite surfing schools and the awesome beach. This hotel is right on Kite Beach and is also a nice half hour stroll along the beach to the central part of town if you want to venture in. However, breakfast comes with the room (and is excellent!) and the restaurant also serves lunch and dinner, with a good menu selection and reasonable prices. Very friendly staff, clean rooms and common areas, nice pool, A/C, and free wi-fi in the lobby and bar. And Kitexcite Kiteboarding School is ON the premises! Doesn't get much better than this for a chilled out beach vacation. It's not the Four Seasons, but we weren't looking for that! The beauty of Cabarete is that it has not been infiltrated by big hotel and restaurant chains or tons of unnecessary commercialism. It still has a very relaxed and local feeling and is a perfect place for water sports enthusiasts. Our only suggestion for improvement would be a more comfortable bed.

Pleasant staff - we didn't spend much time @ the hotel, we traveled out instead, however, while there, staff was pleasant, helpful.

From the time I arrived at the hotel until the time I left, I had the best time visiting the Dominican Republic. I would recommened the Kite Beach Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing atmosphere that's in walking distance to the beach and great resturants, bars and night clubs. The best vacation i've had in a long time.

Great experience even though we were not there for the sports. Beautiful room, great food, friendly staff, beautiful beaches. Would love to go again!

Hotel was easy to drive by, small sign didn't make it easy to see. I did call the hotel and they helped me to find it. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The room wasn't very clean...there were stains on the sheets, no soap provided in the bathroom, and very dim lighting. Not a lot of luxury at this place, but friendly and confortable. The kite surfing looked like a blast to do there...but keep in mind you need 2 days for lessons.

Hotel was great, large 2 bedroom apt, lot of room to to enjoy, Great locations all near, great for all, I will return

Personal very helpful, good management, everything perfectly clean.
