The staff at front desk should already have the type of package you purchased, we got a standard room when we purchased a superior and after waiting for it to be 3pm for check in we still waited an extra 20 minutes. We were asked to wait at the restaurant because our time was 8:45 and not 8:15 but another couple came in saying their dinner was at 8:45 and we were with a person from animation and he said to that couple that they had to wait and they said no we are from Spain and sure enough they were allowed in before us... we definitely made a complaint.

The place its unbelivable gorgeos cleanles shines and beutiful the crew are cordial and friendly.

We will definitely be coming back! We enjoyed all the activities( bike riding tour, water aerobics, ping pong, pool games and etc).

Heavy rains for most of trip but staff keeps you busy if you want. Entertainment is very good at night.

I'm really writing this for the bar staff at black and white bar who were really friendly and attentive Araceli's Wendy and Miguel were are diligent in making our stay a great one

This is a smaill 3 stars hotel. Thats the first thing you need to know, so dont try to compare to those 5 stars hotels in the area. The hotel is very basic, with three pools and three restaurants. Close to the beach. But the most important part of the hotel is the staff, the staff will do everything to make you feel comfortable, they make the experience 10 times better. My overall experience was marred by the room, I have to change room 3 times in two days! First the AA dinde work, 2nd was dirty, but they get it right the third time. Even though the 3rd room was good, it just too much to change rooms three times in a two nights trip. Pro: 1- Best staff you will find in any hotel 2- Best drinks too. The preparation of drinks in most hotel is awful, but not in this case. They prepare the best drinks you will find in any All Inclusive hotel in DR period. 3- Very Close to the beach. 4-Can I say the staff again? Con: 1- Didnt like the restaurant, very poor menu 2-The rooms were awful (they got it right the third time, but it was a little too late) 3- They close the pool by 7:00 PM 4- If you're young, they arent a lot of things to do after 7 PM, you will be bore to death Overal: Its a 3 stars hotel, so you cant go expecting 5 stars facilities. The facilities, the food and the rooms might be 3 stars, but the drinks and the staff are top notch and will make your stay much much better. From me they get a thumbs up and I will recommend this hotel in the future

Excelent hotel Excelent food and the staff was very friendly

This hotel fell short of our expectations. They do not give you the feel that they truly care about their guests. While facing the beach, venture to the left of the hotel property for beautiful crystal clear waters and personal snorkeling adventures. I would NOT recommend this hotel. The adults only option was what initially drew us to booking this facility. Please do not be enticed by the free concierge service.

This was the first getaway for my fiancé and me. The staff was warm, friendly and very helpful. The resort was well maintained. The other guests were pleasant and we all got along. The animation staff was great. They interacted with everyone and aimed for pleasing with all the activities they had each day. The a-la-carte restaurants are hard to get reservations for and the food was not great. We enjoyed eating at the buffets throughout the day. Having to pay for wifi surprised me but it wasn't terrible, since we were on vacation and wanted to unplug from technology. Overall, it was a great vacation and I would definitely go back!!

Arriving by car at 2:55 pm, we were not checked in until 3:45 pm. Other guests received a complimentary drink and hot towel, but we only got a drink after about 35 minutes. Our room had no chair or table, otherwise was comfortable. Bath towels tickets seem to be a problem at all resorts. When we were leaving we left the bath towels in the room, but while at the desk to check out we had to go back to the room and deliver the towels at the the towel desk to get the cards to give to the checkout clerk. Food was excellent at the buffet. We did not visit any of the special restaurants. No kids around was nice, which give us plenty of time to socialize, especially at the pool bar. All in all a fair experience, but issues at check in and check out were irritating.

I love this hotel and have been here more than once, only thing I wish was that the pools were opened 24 hours versus closing at 6pm, which is extremely early

I really enjoy staying there, rooms were cleaned, staff friendly & helpful, being an Adults only resort we really relaxed and enjoyed our vacation. What I like most, was the food ! I've been in many resorts all over Dominican Republic, including some so call 5 stars, Blue Bay had the most delicious food I ever enjoyed at a Resort. One negative comment, when we arrive the Electricity went off for a couple hours, a couple times. Other than that, excellent Resort !

Hotel was great because it was an adults only resort with a great spot on the beach. There was a problem during check-in since the resort limits the max room occupants to 3 people but we were able to get the situation resolved with the supervisor (Rusbel) who was very helpful. Food was decent and the resort activities were great.

Well this was my first time in this resort and I have to say me and my boyfriend live it I couldn't be any happier than what I was. everyone is so welcoming nice lovely and very attentive, Food was ok they just need to change up a little bit pool awesome I love how they had a bar in pool. beach is beautiful I love where they have very peaceful place to spend a nice and romantic time with your love one.

The hotel was great. The room and staff were very kind and helpful. The only problem was that they didn't have free wifi but other than that everything was great. The food, the room and the location

The people are absolutely the most friendly I have ever encountered on a vacation. Dio and Coca Cola made our stay at the Blue Bay worth it. The food was excellent and always fresh. The beach was riddled with pushy vendors that would not take no for an answer. Highly recommend the catamaran snorkeling tour. That was the highlight of our week. We had so much fun. Worth every penny. Also, if you walk the beach about 1 1/2 miles, there is a little beach bar that serves cold beers and pub food. Sooooo much fun. The manager was very accomodating...we even went back for a 2nd visit. Overall, I would not return to the Blue Bay. It is fine for budget minded vacationers that just want to relax.

This was our 9th trip to Blue Bay mall resort-no children. Due to weather conditions in NY, we were redirected to BARCELO-no rooms available in Blue Bay, but we were allowed to use both resorts. Overall-I would recommend this resort. G.

My friends and I had a great stay here, the whole atmosphere was amazing and we were very sad to leave. People to Know: for excursions go see mi amigo Luis on the beach, he's a great guy! For watersports ask for Felix, he's knowledgeable and friendly. Always haggle on price! All in all I can't say anything bad about my trip to BlueBay!

We’re always staying at the same hotel-5 trips a year. This is perfect place for having good time-no kids. All activities (day/night) are close by, and what is the most important-staff is GREAT and helpful. For the money that we spent-it was worth it.

12/11/2014-this was my 11 trip to this hotel. Friendly staff, good food, rooms are good (not perfect), fair price for the package.
