I traveled at the beginning of Aug. 2017. The hotel staff was amazing. The hotel is small, but we were fine with this. Given how small the hotel was there's not a lot of options to go to such as a night club or a bar lounge. Getting to eat a restaurant is very difficult to do. If you stay for a week you have a better chance. Just book it as soon as you arrive. The food was ok for me at the buffet. The selection was not my favorite, but my husband seemed to like it. Everyone is allowed to smoke. If this is an issue this resort is not for you. The landscaping was well kept. The cost to the airport is $35.00 one way. I prefer not to share a ride. If you do, the cab will cost you less. Never exchange your money at the airport. You always get a higher exchange rate at the resort. Overall I would rate my stay a 7. I don't think I would go back. I prefer a resort that offers more amenities. Again, the staff was awesome!!

The only thing i liked was the foam pool party at night.

Good food. Room was smallish. Nice layout. Can't complain. Only would go back if i had a suite. The base line room isn't nice enough to stay in again.

Hotel was okay. The room could have been better if it had better flooring (floor was cold cement) and bigger showers. All inclusive food and drinks variety was amazing! Room service was very prompt. Laying on the beach wasn't the most relaxing experience - sellers approached every few minutes. Locals here are very eager to receive tips. Overall, good stay.

Terrible resort. Do not bother coming here. The food was mediocre and drinks were not even drinks at all. Just small portioned drinks with barely any alcohol for an all inclusive resort. The employees are very nice at times but aren't the brightest bulb in the box. For example, my boyfriend and I had problems with our room key and had us run back and forth to the front desk and all they did is just reprogram the key card which was useless which then they finally came with a machine to override the door for it to finally open and the problem continue afterward until we demanded a room change. To add to the staff members they are VERY unorganized with papers all over the place and the employees running around the front desk with only 2 computers. Besides that one incident, the beach vendors would not stop harassing you while you are trying to relax at the beach which made us leave. It is so bad that they make "rounds" if you stay long enough and take notice. To top it off, the Time Shares representives would stop harassing us to make us buy a time share. He hold us up for 2 hours of the day trying to persuade us even though we told him NO several times. Overall this is a 2 star resort disguised as a 5 star resort and I will return to this dump of a resort

My family and I were taken cared of as soon as we walked into the lobby. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I have been to many all inclusive resorts in the Dominican Republic, this has been the friendliest, kindest staff I have encountered. They create an atmosphere where people can meet, play and have fun together. I will definitely come back.

Buffet leaves something to be desired but otherwise very pleasant.

I recently stayed at the Blue Bay Villas Doradas – Puerto Plata, DR. I arrived on 11-May-2017 and left on 15-May-2017. I am writing to warn potential future customers about my experience. I have submitted this review in advance to both Orbitz and Blue Bay Resorts to allow them a chance to response prior to my posting here...but they have not responded. 1. I made the reservation through Orbitz.com and specifically reserved a “Superior” room because the Blue Bay website states that all Superior have a whirlpool tub. When I checked in on 11-May-2017 I made it a point to state that I had reserved a Superior room. The person at the front desk agreed that is what I would be given. The room I received, room # 8108, included only a walk-in shower. No tub. Additional details supposedly included with a Superior room were also missing such as turndown service, extra towels and bed linens, robes and slippers, etc. I had really been looking forward to relaxing in the whirlpool tub and I feel cheated and misled by the Superior room description and what I was given. 2. On 2 separate days the bathroom did not have hot water for showering. On 12-May-2017 I had to alert the front desk twice before someone arrived to fix the hot water. On 14-May-2017 I had to call the front desk 4 times before someone finally arrived to fix the hot water. In all my years of visiting various hotels I have never been forced to waste so much time waiting to take a shower. This was very frustrating and should b

I love this hotel was there with my girlfriend had the most amazing time of our life we spent 8 nithgs room very nice the food delicious and nice pool also i recomend it a lot i am planning to go again in september .

When we did the booking through Orbits they advertised that the room comes with Wifi. That was not true , they made up excuse that the contract was finished with some company , and if you need wifi you have to pay for it and it is expensive. The food is not all that , I was sick twice from eating there. The alcohol they serve is the bottom of the bottom, any drink you order they put couple drops of alcohol the drinks taste like water. Rowdy customers at night door slamming , and loud talking every day at 2 am , it rained two days I had leak in the room got my bed wet. I rate this resort at 2.5 I do not recommend. To get to the beach you have to walk across a bridge and you get hassled by people who try to sell you things they come bother you all day even when you say no the first time management do not do anything about it. Do not give any deposit in cash to any activity they try to sell you if it rains and you want out they tell you they do not have the money just to try to go the next day.

This hotel exceeded our expectations by far. As far as pros and cons go, the only coins I have is that the main pools close very early by about 8 p.m. there is no entry into the Main pools there is a spa pool that is open until 11:30 but it is very small and there is no jacuzzi / hot tub. Johnathan G at the front desk is absolutely outstanding as far as service and professionalism go, he will go above and beyond for you every day of your stay.

The staff was great especially the bartenders and wait staff. The beach is great. There are a lot of locals trying to sell you stuff on the beach, but if you dont want it a simple no does the trick. The rooms could be a little bigger. Love that is adult only. Get the platinum package if you want to drink top shelf liquor or there is cash bar for that. Food is good.

We had a bad room that flooded, internet cost $60/day per device and you have to pay to use the safe in your room. Deeply disappointed and moved to another hotel.

The staff at front desk should already have the type of package you purchased, we got a standard room when we purchased a superior and after waiting for it to be 3pm for check in we still waited an extra 20 minutes. We were asked to wait at the restaurant because our time was 8:45 and not 8:15 but another couple came in saying their dinner was at 8:45 and we were with a person from animation and he said to that couple that they had to wait and they said no we are from Spain and sure enough they were allowed in before us... we definitely made a complaint.

The place its unbelivable gorgeos cleanles shines and beutiful the crew are cordial and friendly.

We will definitely be coming back! We enjoyed all the activities( bike riding tour, water aerobics, ping pong, pool games and etc).

Heavy rains for most of trip but staff keeps you busy if you want. Entertainment is very good at night.

I'm really writing this for the bar staff at black and white bar who were really friendly and attentive Araceli's Wendy and Miguel were are diligent in making our stay a great one

This is a smaill 3 stars hotel. Thats the first thing you need to know, so dont try to compare to those 5 stars hotels in the area. The hotel is very basic, with three pools and three restaurants. Close to the beach. But the most important part of the hotel is the staff, the staff will do everything to make you feel comfortable, they make the experience 10 times better. My overall experience was marred by the room, I have to change room 3 times in two days! First the AA dinde work, 2nd was dirty, but they get it right the third time. Even though the 3rd room was good, it just too much to change rooms three times in a two nights trip. Pro: 1- Best staff you will find in any hotel 2- Best drinks too. The preparation of drinks in most hotel is awful, but not in this case. They prepare the best drinks you will find in any All Inclusive hotel in DR period. 3- Very Close to the beach. 4-Can I say the staff again? Con: 1- Didnt like the restaurant, very poor menu 2-The rooms were awful (they got it right the third time, but it was a little too late) 3- They close the pool by 7:00 PM 4- If you're young, they arent a lot of things to do after 7 PM, you will be bore to death Overal: Its a 3 stars hotel, so you cant go expecting 5 stars facilities. The facilities, the food and the rooms might be 3 stars, but the drinks and the staff are top notch and will make your stay much much better. From me they get a thumbs up and I will recommend this hotel in the future

Excelent hotel Excelent food and the staff was very friendly
